I love my frames, the glasses are really cool. The price was right. The service was expedited and very professional

While the shipment was a delayed by a day, the merchandise came is the time that was promised. The packaging was well thought out to protect my investment on a new set of Maui Jims. Designer Eyes even included their brand of lense cleaner and cloth along with another case. However, the package left out the Maui Jim hard case which made me think are these real? Instead it came with a collapsable Maui Jim case. The hard case was sent after I had requested for them. Great experience!

I asked by e-mail about a particular lense tint, light blue, for the Dita Flights 006 and they answered that they had that color in stock.
I rechecked before doing the purchase and again they told me that I don't have to worry cause they gonna be shipping the lenses that I want.
I did the purchase and paid for the Dita flight 006. Days laters I received the glasses and the color was WRONG, it wasn't the one I asked.
I send them a mail and they said to me that those were the only ones that they had. Clearly not being the color that I asked.
They lied and they don't know what they sell.
They told me to do a return, long process for a refund. I had to go to a Dita store and change the lenses.

I recently purchased designer eyeglasses at the Retail Store Designer Eyes Aventura Mall, here is the summary of my experience:

The Positive:
* Large Selection of Designer frames and Sunglasses
* Beautifully displayed Merchandise
* Friendly Sales Associates
* Aggressive Discounts ( Best in Aventura Mall)

The Negative:
* Very poor Optical Lab work, my lenses came back w/o transition and very thick unnecessary edge
* The second lab job came back with the Transition darker than they should be, and still not shaped to fit in the frame properly.
* I was promised that they would call me and resolve the issue, they never did.

I WILL NOT BE RETURNING!

After almost half an hour I finally found their store, which is located quite close to One World Trade Centre. That was the only flaw in my complete experience connected with Designer Eyes (DE). Their store cannot be seen from the street (it's under H&M), especially if you come from Cortlandt Way direction. Also, if you use Google Maps (like I did), you'll be puzzled with "non-existing location". It means that the store is on the map, but cannot be found! The best way to avoid any confusion is to use W or R train and to get off on Cortlandt Street metro station. So, keep that in mind.
Firstly, I want to point out that I didn't have any intention to buy new glasses straightaway. However, I got a good bargain AND a good service from Mr. Olivier Ferlay, their licensed optician. He suggested the best frame for me (MYKITA), he gave me an excellent discount and it took them ONLY 3 days to finish my glasses (I am nearsighted). The ophthalmologic examination also went well. He performed it along with the Skype assistance of ophthalmologist (a very kind woman as well).
They have a huge showroom, with different frames for any taste. Space is very clean and properly maintained.
I highly recommend Designer Eyes and especially Mr. Ferlay.
