This company makes their money off of ruining experiences that gamers have paid a lot of money to enjoy. They know this but pretend like us gamers are the problem cause we won't just shut up and accept it

Denuvo promotes destruction of video game preservation with its software, makes the customer experience worse by preventing people from playing the games they bought and paid for.

Denuvo was on doom eternal on release was removed because of fps issues well guess who is back with the new release of doom the dark ages

Although for some of us this is a well-known problem, it has appeared again with the release of DOOM: The Dark Ages so it's worth a quick PSA to remind people about Denuvo activation limits with Proton on Linux, SteamOS / Steam Deck.

Here's the thing — Denuvo Anti-Tamper games do work on Linux systems when running a Windows game through Proton. However, Denuvo has a set limit on the amount of activations it allows per-game. This is five systems it detects within 24 hours.

The problem is on Linux systems with Proton, you might be trying to find the best version of Proton to run the game with, especially so for new releases. If you keep changing your Proton version this can trip up Denuvo and count each Proton swap as a new activation. What happens then? You get locked out for 24 hours.

So keep in mind for games that have Denuvo Anti-Tamper to limit the amount of times you swap the Proton version.

I paid full price for Monster Hunter but it is not letting me play at all.

Wow i can't play Wukong, a game I BOUGHT, IT LITTERALY BELONGS TO ME! But denuvo decided that I can't play it now. what a garbage of DRM.

Denuvo is singlehandedly responsible for games selling worse than they would without it, as well as the increase in video game piracy.

After i learned how much this company enjoys to screw their customers over, I have decided to never purchase a game if its connected to denuvo. So I'll add them to the pile with activision, EA, Ubisoft, gacha games and all the other garbage. It might seem hard but damm.. life is good when you stop eating poopoo. Plenty of good games out there, new and old that can scratch your itch far better than most modern AAA games.

It's a developer / publisher's responsibility to combat undesired behaviour at their own expense and incentivise players for behaving well

I want to give this sh!tty @ss company 0 stars. seriously HATE this company. Everything they do and stand for is f$ck!ing pathetic.

Basura de sistema, yo no se de informatica ni rendimientos ni demas pero me compro un juego de forma legal y no puedo iniciarlo por que el sistema denuvo no me deja conectar con su excremento de servidor ( siendo que el resto de usos en red siguen funcionandome) si que me gasto el dinero para no poder jugarlo, que jodido sentido tiene esto? Que quieren obligarme a que no pague los juegos y me espere a la version pirata?? Es lo que dan ganas...en fin soy una simple hormiga y mi voz dara igual solo me queda desarles lo peor en la vida.

Linux support is bad

Has broken my game - Midnight Suns, as will not let me load it. I have purchased a game for £89 I should be able to play when I want to and not be told to try again in 24 hours.

Don't know why any self respecting business would use this software. Just look at now Callisto protocol on PC, it uses Denuvo and it has major performance issues just like EVERY game that has had Denuvo. I'm surprised these clowns are still in business.

Horrible DRM that destroys the games performance of legit buyers. Boycott all denuvo games ASAP They need to go out of business!
