We recently completed a 1031 exchange with Deferred, and were thoroughly impressed by their efficiency and professionalism. Admittedly, we were initially skeptical about their “no fee” service. However, having worked with David Greenberger in the past, we decided to give it a try—and we’re glad we did. Daniel, our main point of contact, was exceptionally responsive and knowledgeable. His prompt replies and clear guidance helped ease the stress that often accompanies a 1031 exchange. The fact that their service comes with no fee was simply the icing on the cake.

My real estate broker recommended Deferred.com for my 1031 exchange and explained their business model briefly . I called and Daniel got back to me extremely quickly and answered my questions. I have to admit , I signed up with Deferred but I had considerable anxiety in the beginning, as it seemed too good to be true . As we went through the process , Dian was extremely helpful and quick to respond to my questions - as a 1031 exchange newbie - I had several. My anxiety faded a little each day as I first found one replacement property and closed smoothly and then the final replacement property . I have no doubt that my exchange was relatively small as compared to most of their clients , but I can’t imagine that had I been a “big deal” that I could have received any better treatment . I always felt as though I received top tier treatment. Getting a check for interest at the end was a surprise - Daniel had told me it was a possibility but I had thought my transaction would not be big enough .

I am old enough to remember paying stock brokers $300 to $400 to execute a trade - and now I trade stocks for free. Vanguard shook up the mutual fund industry back then with their no-load mutual funds and I can see Deferred as being the Vanguard of the 1031 industry .

I may never do another 1031 exchange , but if I do , I will not hesitate to enlist the services of Deferred. What a great experience. This may not have been a big dollar deal but it was a “big deal” for my family and I very much appreciate the outstanding care we saw throughout the process .
