The system is lumpy and disconnected. Having completed payment for the enhanced check and waiting for a response, nothing came for some time and then a request for an additional payment for an ID check. It's not the extra money that I object to but the failure to indicate the need for it at the outset and its consequential confusion and wasted time and effort. Fortunately, I doubt that I will need to avail myself again of your services, but would still hope that you can up your game more than somewhat

To clarify for transparency: in our original email, we provided direct links to both the Enhanced DBS Check and the Digital ID Check, as they are separate products on our website. The Digital ID Check was opted in for by your employer as part of the verification process, which is why both links were included from the outset.
When only the Enhanced DBS Check was purchased, our team followed up to remind you that the Digital ID Check was still required, and we responded promptly to your enquiry explaining why this was necessary.
That said, we completely understand how this could still feel disjointed from your perspective, and we appreciate your honesty. We are currently reviewing how we present these steps to ensure the process feels smoother and more connected for future applicants.

Thanks for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience.
Just to clarify, you purchased an Enhanced DBS check, which legally requires us to confirm your employment directly with your employer. Once we received your order, we got in touch to explain this, but unfortunately, your employer didn’t respond to our request to verify your employment. Without that confirmation, we legally couldn’t move forward with the application.
You then requested a refund, which we issued right away.
In most cases (9 times out of 10), employers are happy to confirm this information, which is why our Prestige Package works well for most applicants however, I am sorry that is did not work as smoothly in your situation.
We’re always working to make the process clearer and smoother, and we appreciate your feedback. We shall review the website to ensure this is clearer at the point of purchase.

App problems
The initial start of the process was fine and easy to navigate, but as soon as it got to the yoti or Royal Mail app verification and adding of passport etc etc it completely feel apart. I tried both apps to equally small success. Yoti app wouldn’t let me get past the phone number verification to the point where on the 3rd or 4th attempt it wouldn’t even send me a code anymore. The Royal Mail app went further but still wouldn’t allow me to upload anything. All in all a it was an extremely frustrating experience and in the end i had to get a member of production to complete it for me going through dbs directly.
