I didn’t really like the fact that this is part of a network and your profile is shown on other dating sites. However, having said that, I have met two nice genuine men who had signed up on the partner sites. The relationships didn’t work out in the end but that was not the fault of Classic FM Romance. I signed up twice, once in 2020 and again in 2023.
I never had any problems accessing the site.

It doesn't seem a very good system for people recording their preferences. For example they may list seven or eight kinds of music they like, but you have no idea of which they like most. Ironically , relatively few list classical music!! Also, many people list numerous interests that they can't possibly pursue with equal enthusiasm. It's really hard to get a clear impression of how well you would match, despite the percentages shown. Very disappointed!

Hi all just got a email from classic FM romance where they called you a bunch of liars and I qoute:

"In regards to Trustpilot reviews, we don’t believe there is really any value
spending time trying to counter-act false feedback on forums like this, versus
the time we could (and do) spend helping / supporting our existing members.

If people have a genuine complaint raised with us directly then of course, we
do our best to deal with it fairly and ethically. Our support team works from
8am-10pm seven days a week, every day of the year (including Christmas Day!)
and we are always happy to help.

A large majority of negative reviews are left by people who are unhappy that
they have not been able to force us to do something they wanted us to do.

For
example, provide a refund after they have used the service. The reviews are
their attempts at blackmail or as a method to express their anger when they
fail to force us to respond in a way we are not morally or legally obliged so
to do.

We can’t do much about this, but we can (and do) exercise our right not to
reply on those forums but I'm more than happy to respond to the points you've
raised here.

This page is available without needing to register or log in & clearly shows
that free members (those without a subscription) won't be able to see who has
viewed them.

We don't ask for card details to activate a free subscription - there are no

To take out a paid subscription, it's necessary to enter card details, or pay
via PayPal, iTunes or GooglePlay. All of these options have auto-renewal
attached & this is very clearly mentioned throughout the payment process, in
the payment confirmation email & in the Terms of Use, & in the FAQ. we are
more than transparent when it comes to auto-renewal and when to cancel. We are
also a member of the Online Dating & Discovery Association and in order to be
so, have to pass strict guidelines especially surrounding the clarity of
auto-renewal & the ease of cancellation. We pass those guidelines and are
happy to do so.

In regards to the sharing of profiles on other dating services that we (Dating
Lab) manage, we clearly explain this aspect of the site under Menu > Network
Services, and in the Terms of Use (which all users signal they have read &
agreed to when joining) and in the FAQ.

To reassure you, the sites that we share with are carefully chosen to match
the demographic of Classic FM. If we also managed a site that didn't fit with
the Classic FM brand and user, we would never share that site with Classic FM
Romance as they wouldn't be right for each other.

Our over-riding aim with sharing is to give users more profiles to choose from
and match up with, thus increasing their chance of success. When we have run
other sites as closed sites in the past, we received complaints about not
enough members being available!

On the rare occasion that a profile does get by us, we remove it as soon as we
become aware of it and we also send a warning to any person that has swapped

Well. It has been over a year since I was completely ripped off by this scam site and I am still getting pornographic emails from various other scammers pretending to be dating sites using stock photos and very poor English.
Here are the lowlights.

1/ You will not meet likeminded people as advertised due to the fact it is an amalgamation of hundreds of sites.

2/ Female profiles are outnumbered 5000 to 1. This is why women are inundated with messages, overwhelmed and leave.

3/ I estimate that only one in a hundred female profiles are genuine. The rest are fake profiles using photos stolen from social media or stock photos (in some cases the same ones you will be spammed with for eternity), dormant/former member profiles that are kept to generate false statistics, and worst of all paid content creators who string you along with a preset script until you have to renew your membership. Once renewed they disappear and a week before you're next subscription someone with a very similar profile and the same script will start messaging you.

4/ Your information is not safe on this site and you will be the recipient of all kinds of spam.

Dear Classic FM

You need to distance yourself from this borderline fraudulent site. Every time you advertise this vile waste of server space on your station I turn it off for the rest of the day, and highly recommend everyone else does so as well.

This review is purely for the alleged dating site and not Classic FM themselves. They are a superb station, it's a great shame they are being tarnished by association with a terrible website.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THIS ISN'T RUN BY CLASSIC FM, IT'S PROVIDED BY ANOTHER SCAM MERCHANT CALLED DATING LAB. ITS AN AWFUL SERVICE, AND OVERPRICED FOR THAT MATTER. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND MEET PEOPLE THE NORMAL WAY, IN PERSON !

I couldn't find a way of setting a catchment area, I got matched with profiles with almost nothing in common, I wanted matches with photos only but still got loads without. And it has nothing at all to do with Classic FM radio station nor a shared love of classical music. Very basic and disappointing.

Signed up for 3 months,coming to an end in mid-September. Expected to find people with an interest in classical music. As others have reported their membership must be small they include other sites! Specified an age range of circa 10 years and a location within 20 miles. Got people 20+ years younger (I am not a billionaire!) and located as far away as Malta! Matching is simplistic and they send unsuitable people as matches for you! They even send details of people who are not members and are unable to exchange contact details. All in all a total scam!

Yup. Scammers who are feeding off our insecurities, I'm afraid. Avoid.

Don't waste your money

Paid for a one month subscription, so glad I didn't pay more. The matches are mostly rubbish. I cancelled the rolling payment straight away. That's a scam anyway. l tried to get my money back but they tried every excuse under the sun not to give me a refund Decidedly underwhelmed by the site. When the month is up I'm off

I wish had read these negative reviews before wasting my money on subscribing to this dating website. There are very few genuine users. The 'friendly' support makes life unnecessarily difficult. They waste no time in taking your payment but waste your time at every other opportunity. Their only goal is to exploit the Classic FM brand to fleece anyone who believed they would receive a high quality service.

I joined the dating site, unfortunately it was difficult to access. Contacted them and was told to send identification, which I regarded as a security risk. Nowhere in the terms and conditions does it mention emailing 🆔
I have my doubts about this website and glad I didn’t subscribe.

App will not open
What a waste of time

I cannot access the site at all through any portal. I received a couple of emails recently with links to see a message but I can't access it.
I was thinking of taking out a subscription but wanted to get a feel of the site first
I think they've blocked me as I can't contact Classic FM Romance at all. I don't know why.

Website is useless, can’t open anything they send me. Have cancelled membership not worth the money. Website needs a desperate overhaul

Poor and irrelevant responses. June to August 2022. Lots of people from other sites such as Telegraph and other senior sites as well as non-paying people who cannot participate anyway. Thought I’d find fellow music lovers, just not the case. The automatic matching also ignores key criteria like distance and smoking.
Also finding married individuals and no easy way to report them.

Subscribed for 1 month and then site refused to allow me to cancel auto Subscription..
I hear from others this is almost normal.
Also some ‘fake profiles’ on site not necessarily from Classic but maybe from other dating sites they have ‘buddied’ up with..

The show is good but pretty great dates advertised get rid of it payed for my trial for 3 days cancelled it the 48 hours later and they still toke 90 out of my account when I told them not 2 I’m in talks with my solicitor to sue pretty great dates.other thing is there is no one to talk to online.

Very little response to anything, hardly any profile views and very little messaging, I have used other sites before and this site is almost stagnant. You membership money would be spent better elsewhere

Impossible to access the site on the laptop or mobile. It takes too long to load. Impossible to contact anyone about this. A real waste of money and time.
