Could not log in to the website as the website obviously had technical issues. But the worst thing was, absolutely no link for support to be found anywhere.

Credit built up over time, asked for a partial refund, they just linked to their terms of service saying they can't refund credit balances. Asked them to do it just this time, and I'll know for the future. They refused.

I had been using AHrefs for a while, but although it is very capable it is also very big and expensive. I came across DataForSEO via a question on ChatGPT. It is a very different concept, instead of being engulfed with a mass of all you can eat data, it is more like a fine dining a la carte experience. OK, it helps if you like APIs ... but once you get past that it allows you grab search engine rankings in *exactly* the way that suits you.

Insanely fast onboarding and time to value. Plug it into Claude Code and you have an SEO consultant in a box!

The pricing is reasonable when compared to leading SERP API services, offering a substantial amount of data with reliable stability. Additionally, their customer support responds promptly and provides effective assistance.
Recently, Google has restricted search parameters to 10 results per page. DataForSEO addressed this change swiftly and effectively, minimizing disruptions for clients, whereas many other SERP API providers have yet to implement any meaningful updates.
The primary drawback is that their API operates asynchronously, requiring a wait for results. However, this is entirely reasonable given the competitive pricing they offer.

These errors justify a refund (and not a correction)

They reveal a structural problem, not a few isolated errors.

A one-off correction CANNOT fix an entire file sold as:
“verified”
“updated”
“reliable”
“premium quality”
The law protects the buyer of a digital product that does not conform to the description.

So even if the seller writes “no refund,” the law takes precedence over theire terms and conditions.

This API is seriously amazing! Been using it for around a year now, and I've been finding so many use-cases for multiple projects of mine, their documentation is neat and apparently they do good updates from time to time. Really recommend this.
