We had a very pleasant experience with Danish Island Weddings! After struggling with administration in other countries, we gave up and found this agency, and everything was so easy and went so smoothly that we still can't believe it ! We planned our wedding in a month only and Yuki helped us all along the process, answering thoroughly to all questions we had and ensuring an easy process for us. The day itself was so relaxing and enjoyable, as we didn't have to worry about anything, and everyone involved is so relaxed that it feels like being home surrounded by friends :)
For everyone wanting to avoid the complicated and stressful wedding organization, do not hesitate to choose them ! They make everything go so smoothly that you will have no worries and be able to put all your attention on spending a lovely day with your partner :)

Everything was easy, smooth, relaxed and we felt very welcomed and supported at each step! The team's recommendations for the photographer (she was the sweetest!), help with the bouquet and boutonnire (both a masterpiece!) and generous tips about the ceremony and the town made the whole experience a fairy tail.

We could not have possible asked for a better setting for our special day surrounded by kind and and lovely people.

Many thanks to Yuki and the entire DIW team. We had a gorgeous beach wedding on the beautiful island of Ærø. We discussed everything beforehand by email and our wishes were more than fulfilled. Everything was thought of, the loving decoration on the beach and in the beach house was breathtaking. my bouquet was a dream and the cake was so delicious. Neli captured the whole thing with the camera, she is also a charming person like Yuki and the rest of the team. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and thank DIW very much for that. We've been in touch with the DIW team for a little more than 2 years now, just like many other couples, our wedding plans also got massively disrupted due to the unfortunate pandemic. But heartfelt thanks to Yuki and the DIW team for making it finally possible for us. When on one hand, you are trying to figure out the legal processes of getting married in foreign countries (Germany and Ireland in our case), things don't get any easier or smoother during a pandemic. But we were fortunate to have come across DIW, Yuki supported us throughout the whole process from giving valuable and much-needed suggestions and recommendations to managing all the paperwork. She is such a beautiful and kind soul inside and out, we are glad to have met her and her remarkable team. She helped us get in touch with Neli (our super-talented photographer) and Mira (our brilliant make-up and hair stylist). Everything, from stem to stern was looked after meticulously by the DIW team.

We planned our wedding with Yuki and were able to get married within 4 weeks. In Germany we have been waiting for 3 months for an answer or the sending of documents. We would recommend to everyone to get married there, because everything was top organized and we always got answers to questions in the shortest time. the pre-planning for the wedding was on site and we could discuss everything again. We thank Danish Island Weddings for our beautiful and uncomplicated wedding in the old merchant's house! The old merchant's house was ideal for our wedding thanks to the decorations and its romantic interior. One day before the wedding we discussed everything in detail with Louise, she was very accommodating for spontaneous wishes. Louise is a very warm and sweet person who made our day more beautiful.

We got married in May and it was amazing. Yuki was very kind and nice. She gave me some advices about the documents we needed and the Island. She always answered very fast and all the process was very fast. I was so glad to meet her and her sister before our wedding. The ceremony was so nice and we could take some beautiful pictures at the Island. I really recommend it!

Danish Island Weddings helped us have the wedding of our dreams.
We had a small wedding with 14 guests at the old merchants house. The communication with Yuki went smoothly. Every question was answered quick and detailed.

The recommended photographer (Neli), the cafe (Den Gamle Købmandsgaard), makeup- (Mira) and hairstylist (Anne) did a wonderful job. And the flower bouquet and boutonniere by DIW were just beautiful.

On the wedding day we did not have to stress about anything, because DIW had it all covered!

We did make plans of our own after the ceremony which was kind of hard, because the local authorities only confirmed the time for the ceremony 2 weeks before the wedding. But it worked all out well in the end.

If booking with Danish Island Weddings is an idea you are even slightly considering, put your reservations aside and go for it! To say they exceeded our expectations is an understatement. The whole team was communicative, reliable, professional and genuinely lovely. Louise, Yuki and John not only organized and executed every detail to perfection, but they kept the word „stress“ out of our vocabulary from the first email, to our walk down the aisle. We are so grateful that we left our beach hut dream wedding in the hands of this amazing team. They are truly experts at infusing the natural beauty of the island, with the coziness of Danish hygge, and the individuality of their diverse couples. We can’t thank you all enough! Yuki add an extra flavor to our wedding. We decided to made the trip by bike (Berlin...train...Rostock...ferry...adventure), no extra room to carry fancy cloths just bikers´ gear. When we arrived, Yuki invited us to meet each other, I have never imagined this warm welcome and her joy of listening our crazy adventure. My couple and I felt as we were talking with a long time friend, someone who could empathized our happiness. The following day, after the ceremony, Yuki took a picture of us with our bikes, so simple gesture full of great energy. We are more than grateful, from the very beginning the paperwork and the contact was super smooth and simple, the registration in the Registry Office, the people in the ceremony, all was perfect. Thank you so much for all the great help and the chance to meet and share a part of our life journey =)

A massive thanks to the entire DIW team. Without them, we can’t even imagine same sex marriage for the people from other country is possible, easy and quick in Denmark, especially we are from one of the South East Asia Countries. From enquiry stage to our big day, Yuki answered all my questions with a great patience and without delay. We didn’t have any stress throughout the preparation process. Yuki even guided me how to get attestation from Danish Embassy from our home country without any problem. We even got marriage approval in less than a week after submitting all the required documentation. She also suggested where to stay, ferry booking and other necessary information. With our pre-planning, the whole journey was smooth. Louise’s flower crown, bouquet and boutonnière were more than perfect. We even kept them to make them dried flowers. The package prices are also great, no financial burden. Neli (the photographer Yuki recommended) also is a great photographer. She took all our candid moments. We just felt so relaxed and don’t feel like we are in a ceremony. Æroskobing is a beautiful and romantic place with colorful, tiny and beautiful beach huts. Danish people are so friendly. Also Danish embassy from our residential country approved our friends’ visas in a short period of application timeframe. Well, what I can say more. There won’t be enough words to express. If someone wants to know more about DIW, I’m ready to give more details and would urge them to go for it without thinking twice. We’d love to visit Æroskobing again in near future.

A great thank you to the DIW Team! From day one of making contact all questions and issues were taken care of very fast and efficiently. Everything worked like clockwork and as planned. We had support for all document issues and also lots of advise and booking suggestions.
We felt very comfortable in their professional and friendly hands and would always pick them and the fantastic Old merchants house as a venue again - well let’s say for the renewals 😜!
Also the island of Ærø is the most charming place for a wedding!

In the run up to the wedding, Yuki was helpful and responded quickly to any queries. From the moment we boarded the ferry to Aeroe island our stresses melted away. The island is such a friendly and peaceful place to get married, and Aeroskibing was a fairytale town with cobbled streets and colourful cottages. There was no last minute wedding stress, and we were able to enjoy our visit fully. The forest setting was beautiful and Louise and Yuki took us through every step of the wedding in advance. The day itself was a dream, having my hair and make up done by Anne and Mira was so much fun in the run up to the ceremony, and Louise’s husband John was on hand as our driver. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, from the delicious wedding cake, to an absolutely wonderful colourful bouquet arranged by Louise. Neli, the wedding photographer, was a joy to work with. She understood perfectly the essence of what we wanted to capture on the day, and there was no awkward posing, it was more like hanging out with a friend for the day. It’s been two weeks since DIW created the most magical day for me and my husband 🤩. Since then many people wanted to hear how it was and I’ve been trying to find the right words. But I’ve not come up with anything other than „Perfect“. The whole day was organised so seamless and well that I had to think about nothing other than remember to say yes. Mira and Anna did such an amazing job with my hair and make-up and working with Neli felt like we’re doing a fun photoshoot with a friend. We also went for the full flower setup basically and Luise hit the nail on the head with a beautiful lilacs arrangement without knowing that I absolutely adore lilacs. We were all sniffing my bouquet all day. It actually still smells hanging up to dry. The communication with Yuki beforehand to plan everything was also so effortless that it sure didn’t feel like I’m planning a wedding. The whole team just made us feel like we’re the only clients and most important people in the world. It was truly our day.
We’re basically already planning our vowel renewal with them 😂.

And the island… picture perfect!

We were treated like family from day one. The staff is super accommodating and help us through from the processing of documents to the Wedding day itself. We will always cherish the memories we had on Æro and it's all thanks Danish Island Weddings!

We are very happy about our decision to work with DIW. We have had our wedding ceremony in the beautiful Old Merchant's House. Yuki and the team took care about everything before, during and after the ceremony. We eloped at the end of April and everything was absolutely perfect. Aeroe is such a peaceful and delightful place, which is ideal if you wish to celebrate a simple and genuine ceremony, 100% focused on the spouses. We are really grateful to all the Danish Island Weddings staff and to our photographer Neli Garnet because we experienced the perfect wedding. No stress at all, just the two of us so excited to finally get married, surrounded by the spring colours of this lovely island. The overall organization was quick and efficient, Yuki so helpful, and we loved the local flowers chosen by Louise who created a very romantic atmosphere. As a perfect complement, Neli was able to capture every emotion we experienced and which we shall re-live thanks to her stunning photos. We had a great experience with Danish Island Weddings. We had a very simple but beautiful ceremony in the Old Merchants House, just how we wanted. The communication with Yuki prior to our arrival was very easy and Louise organised everything perfectly for us on the day of the wedding. Louise also made a really lovely bridal bouquet. My husband and I were very lucky to meet Neli Garnet, our photographer. We had a wonderful experience working with her. I was pretty sure our photos would be great but they are just amazing! Everytime I show them to my friends I feel very proud :) And of course some of them will soon be printed and hung on wall !

Neli is a very lovely person and a real professional. She knows the island of Aero and can advise you with the most beautiful shooting spots. During the photo shoot we never felt uncomfortable. Working with Neli was a pleasure.
