Just like all the other poor people

Just like all the other poor people - I have been a victim of this company setting up a DD without my permission, and started off as small amount of £6.95 then moved up to £14.95, they've been doing it for months without me spotting likely due to the fact I've not long lost my mum and been in a state of GRIEF. I am so fuming, and I can't get hold of the company, nor are my bank being too supportive as it's been happening for so many months.
WATCH OUT FOR THIS COMPANY.
I sold my phone to webuyanyphone in Nov 2024 and this was the repercussions.

SCAM!!!!
Do not even deserve 1 star, webuyanyphone shared my details with this company without me knowing and sent up a direct debit taking money out of my bank since 2023. I didn’t even sell my phone with webuyanyphone I just got a quote from them. I have lost a lot of money and may not get it back. They started taking £4.95 a month then shortly after increased it to £9.95 a month unfortunately I didn’t realised i probably just thought it was one of my tv subscriptions and it just merged into other small bank transfers.

Big scam

Big scam! I sold a phone a few years ago with We Buy Any Phone and unbeknownst to me was signed up to a £9.95 monthly subscription on direct debit?? I have literally no need for this type of subscription so there's no way I would have even accepted a free trial. SCAM. I now don't know if I will get any of this money back from my bank as the company can dispute it and it could be near on £400.

Beware

If i could give them zero stars i would.
Only this morning i decided to go through my Bank Statements, and i stumbled a cross a direct debit for Cybersentry Global.
I chased it up, and found out they took £169 out of my bank account over the last year.
I did not give these any authorization to take money out of my account. "Allegedly" this happened when i went through again Allegedly "we buy any phone"

I have learnt the hard way, but please people beware.

Scammers - unauthorised direct debits

As per the other reviews! Unfortunately not seen the payments as the were low and merged into other small payments. In short over a year I am £129 out of pocket. They are trying to tell me I accepted there trial when i requested phone valuation from webuyanyphone. So far the have offered £20 refund which I have refused and am pursuing via bank as I did not authorise the direct debit.

Awful.

I read all the terrible reviews and cancelled my free trial before I had even used the service. I was incorrectly charged. I complained and was refunded and promised that the subscription was cancelled but month 2 has now passed and guess what?! Yes, I have been charged again. I have now spoken to my bank to get refunded and ensure that they cant touch my account again in the future.

Noticed for the last year these guys…

Noticed for the last year these guys have been taking money out of my bank on a monthly basis. There are no communication detailing the monthly bills or price changes.

If there was any legitimacy in the business, you'd see more reviews than just complaints or an attempt to sort out the behaviour, but there isn't, because it's setup just for WeBuyAnyPhone to share bank details with.

ILLEGAL USE OF MY PERSONAL INFORMATION! I never even sent my phone to them to be sold and yet I was automatically signed up for a service named CYBER SENTRY and have been unknowingly charged for the last 11 months by them - £129.35! They are working with a company named WE BUY ANY PHONE. I have been looking after a sick elderly parent so not been looking after a sick elderly parent so have only just noticed it the £9.95 was taken each month. I decided to look at Trustpliot and could not believe that they have a 100% 1 star review. A total scam.

Illegally stole money from my bank…

Illegally stole money from my bank account through a direct debit that I never signed up for. Had to go to my bank to claim this back. These guys are scam artists and should be reported.

ILLEGAL SHARING OF FINANCIAL…

ILLEGAL SHARING OF FINANCIAL INFORMATION! I never even sent my phone to them to be sold and yet I was automatically signed up for a service named CYBER SENTRY and have been unknowingly charged for the last 6 months by them totalling to £94.55!! They are working with a company named WE BUY ANY PHONE.I'm kicking myself for letting myself get so swamped by subscription payments to have only just noticed it. Fraudulent and a total scam. NO NOT USE.

TOTAL SCAM

TOTAL SCAM - Never signed up for a direct debit or to use these services. Scammed when using webuyanyphone and now going through my bank to seek an immediate chargeback. AVOID both corrupt these companies which are clearly run by scam artists.

They're just here to take your money

This company would take your money without your knowledge and refuse to refund it. They consider an unaswered email notice enough that you're subscribing to them and want to continue with the subscription as this is set up by we buy any phones either you sell them your phone or not (which i also had a bad experience with) . I hope my £7 on an unused service would help them more than me.

Fraudulent payments from my account

I have not sold a phone with we buy any phone just enquired so I do not know how they have fraudulently set up a direct debit from my account that I have been paying for 6 months. Disgusting that they are even allowed to do it.

Unknown to me

Unknown to me, we buy any phone have signed me up for a £6.95 a month direct debit to leave my account to cybersentry without my permission. This is disgusting and totally wrong.
I’ve been paying this since January and just realised! How do I claim this back?
