Pre-ordered an item but never received…

Pre-ordered an item but never received it. Tried contacting through different channels and had zero replies. Simply awful. I’m furious about this and will be looking into any means necessary to get my money back. Don’t use Curibo, my experience is it’s a scam!

Pre-order arrived with no issues

I pre-ordered a Dragon Ball figure from Curibo back in July 2021 and was left satisfied. Curibo is a good option for anime and video game figure pre-orders. There have always been good prices across the site, and I was pleased to know that I could pay in partial payments.

I emailed them on 06/02 in 2022 to see if they had any details on the status of my pre-order as I did not receive any updates by email. I did not hear back from them so I sent a follow up email on 17/02 and I quickly received an email to explain that the order would be dispatched as soon as the remaining sum was paid through Partial.ly. I received an email as soon as my order was dispatched with tracking available. My order came neatly and safely packaged.

I haven't ordered with Curibo since due to the limited stock on their site, so I usually cannot find exactly what I am after.

Not Professional! Avoid!

Ignored my messages on their Facebook page and then blocked me when I told them I would post my experience!
I ordered from their website - a week later, after waiting so long, I have just found out they cancelled my order without any notifications or reason!
Such a bad bunch of people - Totally not professional! I would stay away and I'll stick to EmporiumOfCool from now on!

Edit: I got contacted and asked for more info-whether it was TrustPilot or Curibo. If it was the latter, why don't you reply here publicly instead of contacting us individually?

Curibo don't care about the customers who use service

Used Curibo now since last Christmas Ordering collectable Dragonball Figurines which can be quite pricey.
I ordered a figure costing £90 now when I order these figures they're usually heavily protected as they are collectors items.
I recieved my item and it was celotaped with black wrap, fit to the box, a recycled amazon box was used and then inside a folded paper on one side and a piece of cardboard on the other and then my item cling filmed, not bubble wrapped, no air sacks so when I've got home and opened it, was disgusted I paid for them to cheaply wrap my £90 item, but then it's been squashed in transit and bent the back box and damage the top right corne, I requested atleast a £20 refund as it was costly and should of had something more protective then what they put, after showing damage they had the nerve to offer £5 when this is a collectors figure that I paid £90 for, it's now damaged so instantly devalued if I ever wanted to resell and I've just been fobbed off so I wouldnt risk using this company, I've not had an issue until now, seems they're getting slack and rinsing the customer and not bothering about issues that have arisen.

They refund you foreign currency with rediculour exchange rate.

My previous review which was written on 16 Aug 2022 was deleted. Not sure what the problem was and I just re-post again with all the account details to prove it is true.

I have placed a preorder for a GFFMC on Aug 2021. The ETA was Oct 2021 on their web site. After 6 months of the ETA, I started to contact Curibo through emails and facebook PM, I got zero reply. I then put a complain in their pinned post, they refunded me with foreign currency with a ridiculous exchange rate. I didn't accept the money from PayPal and I kept contacting them. They said I need to refund them the foreign currency before they could issue a refund. I didn't take the money and how could I refund them?

Since then they didn't reply any more. This seller is absolutely wasting your time to deal with them. And it is one year since I paid for the item and I didn't have anything and they still keep my money.

I just went in and they the status changed to:
Order cancelled on July 04, 2022 at 18:18pm. Reason: Customer changed/cancelled order.

On 4 July 2022, they sent me an email about the refund but that was in USD.

On 22 July 2022, they replied not sure why they refunded me USD and asking me to refund what they have refunded.

On 25 July 2022, I replied Curibo that I didn't accept any money from Paypal which was sent by Curibo.

Since then there is no more communication sent from Curibo anymore.

Assumed item would be dispatched soon as stated on there website. After a week I reached out twice via email before I got a reply on the 8th of August to say shipping would be 12-3 weeks?, this item is already in the public domain so assume this was to read 2 - 3 weeks. I have now emailed them again asking for an update and had no reply. Assuming I won't unless I chase them again.

*Update
Refund has now been received after cancelling the order, although slightly short of the £89 paid as shipping cost not refunded even though nothings been shipped. Quick enough to reply when it's a negative review. FYI The ETA was not on your website when first purchased. Would be good to update customers who have purchased when you get this information.
Will not be using this company again.

Thanks again for the updated reply to this review. 2-3 weeks from the 8th of August would not take you into September. (Check a calander)
If this was on the product description would it not juat make sense to state this when a customer enquires about it? Seems a bit odd?

Curibo you seem to need the last word and that word is to only state that Im basically at fault. You have offered no apology for late replying to emails/only replying after follows up are sent.
No apology or explanation to the fact that not a full refund was given even though nothing was shipped!
No apology for the response you did send to my email not being accurate or what I asked you.
Your clearly able to give more accurate replys what with all the links you've dropped below, It's a shame it takes a negative review to get this level of response.
I'm sure you'll feel the need to have the last word again but I'll not be updating this again, I think any other potential buyers have enough information.
Downgraded to one star again for obvious reasons.

Also, in the initial email we sent you when asking for an update, we mentioned that this item should be in stock in 2-3 weeks. Not that it'll "ship out in 2-3 weeks".

A good online retailer for

Used curibo a few times now.

I haven't had any bad experiences.

The one issue I had was the wrong address on a preorder totally my fault,
luckily the item hasn't been dispatched yet I emailed and lgot a email back the next day saying it's all been sorted.

Great store!!

Bought from this store multiple times! Absolutely great shop with amazing prices in comparison to big branded websites. All come packaged perfectly and are all fully licensed merchandise!

Awful customer service

Awful customer service. Rather than responding to customers with queries who pre-order in good faith they just flat out cancel. In my case I simply requested a delivery estimate/ update so I could budget for the final payment. Curibo do not respect your custom so don't give them it.
