MISLEADING
On March 3, 2018 I booked a cruise to Mexico. I received a confirmation email. I have received SEVERAL emails since that date telling me that my entire balance, INCLUDING the deposit of $300, was due 8/19/18. Yesterday was 8/9 and they sent me a cancellation notice stating I never paid my deposit. What? "Oh, you must have missed the line in the original email that states that the deposit is due 10 days before the final payment". Um, yeah...I did miss that, because EVERY SINGLE EMAIL since then has stated that the ENTIRE amount INCLUDING the deposit is due 8/19. "Um, I have the money, can you run my card again?" "Well, I'll have to get manager approval. Please hold". 10 minutes later...."Ok ma'am, we will extend your payment to tomorrow". Gee, thanks. LIke I said, I have the money...that is not the issue. The issue isn't even that the fine print says the deposit is due early. IT IS THE FACT THAT EVERY SINGLE EMAIL AFTER THE BOOKING said the ENTIRE AMOUNT INCLUDING THE DEPOSIT was due 8/19. This is my first, and probably last, time booking with Cruises.com just because I spent 30 minutes total dealing with a problem before the deadline even passed.

WARNING!!!
WARNING!!!
This company uses deceptive advertising practices. Just completed a cruise where free Signature Beverage Package, $200 onboard credit, and free specialty menu dinner reservation were promised. NONE were delivered. When called from the cruise ship to rectify, Cruise.com said they gave the best price for the suite on the ship and would provide no more. The work "Crooks" comes to mind.

HORRIBLE AND INCONSISTANT WITH PAYMENT AND HOLD PLACING PROCEDURES!!!!!!!!!!!
ASSOCIATE ON THE PHONE THOUGHT IT WAS A LAUGHING MATTER
Not Honest or Trustworthy
First time around we did not get our spa treatment as promised. I had a booking on hold and the agent was on her off day when I went to pay the deposit and customer service refused to honor the OBC saying that they do not make much of a profit on my booking.
IGLU CRUISE IS A BAD COMPANY TO BOOK WITH
IGLU CRUISES: I booked a cruise with them on may 17 they were very nice and helpful when booking was taken I was asked to pay a reduced deposit of £150, I received there conformation invoice stating the balance of the holiday was to be paid in March 2018,
Unfortunately, I had to cancel the cruise when I emailed them to do so I was told that I would need to pay a further £250 plus a cancellation fee of £25 each before they would cancel my holiday THEY TOTALLY REFUSED TO CANCEL IT UNTIL I PAID THEM MORE MONEY After one week of receiving abusive and threatening emails from the customercare services which should be called the customer could not care less services, I was forced to pay them the money before more fees would be added on by them.
I contacted Thomson holidays and explained the situation to them but unfortunatly they could not help me as the booking was taken by iglu cruises and it was them that wanted the money NOT Thomson holidays please be warned DO NOT BOOK A HOLIDAY WITH THEM they will take your money and refuse to help you if you ask for help you have been warned leave them alone use a reliable company

I have had 23 cruises through Cruise .com-they are excellent at what they do. Many of these people who have complaints surely are people who do not look at the fine print, which really isn't all that fine-it's straight forward on their website where they list the prices and incentives which you have to read before making a quick decision. Everything they have promised me, that they would do, has always been carried out on their part and put in writing on my invoice.I will always look to cruise.com first when looking to book future cruises.
The booking experience was better than I thought after reading the reviews
Booked with Cruise.Com. Save over $1000 if I had booked with the cruise line. After I got my confirmation email from Cruise.Com my reservation information and $100 OBC was listed in my cruise line account. Also, I get $150 back when I am done with the cruise. I guess all the bad reviews are one offs. I only saw a total of 190 bad reviews on the internet. Nobody ever posts good reviews. I am sure Cruise.Com has successfully booked over thousands upon thousands of cruise since they have been in business.
I bought a cruise in the cabin with a …
I bought a cruise in the cabin with a balcony for 2 persons on the MSC Divina ship from February 25, 2018 from the port of Miami (Invoice # 2190368, confirmation # 28426889). The site indicated that for this cost I will get a cruise + $ 50 on-board credit + free WIFI + free drinks in mealtime. In addition, the seller indicated that it is sufficient to pay a deposit of $ 49. In fact, my card charged the full cost of the cruise. But most importantly - I was denied additional benefits ($ 50 credit + WIFI + drinks). The seller informed me that I bought a cruise at a low promotional price and no benefits will be granted to me. But I do not see instructions on the seller's website that this is an promotional price. At the same price, you can also book a cruise on the website of the MSC cruise company. And on the site cruise.com it was specifically indicated that all these benefits are "applicable" for cruise MSC Divina from February 25, 2018. This is cheating buyers. If it were not for the promise of additional benefits, I'd better book a cruise at the same price via expedia, where I could get additional points for this purchase. This is dishonest advertising in order to attract buyers through deception.
But cruise com stopped responding to my letters. What for? They already sold me a cruise. Contact the cruise company directly. More guarantees of honor and conscience.
Very bad service
Very bad service. They make you wait on the line for long time and transfer between agents. We had to cancel the cruise due to illness and they won't do that. If we booked directly through the cruise line even if you did not buy the insurance, they will give you back credit. On top of that, they charge extra admin fees. Booking directly through cruise line is much better.
Cruise Insurance Scam at Cruise.Com
When you finish your reservation they will offer - rather push cruise insurance. They sell their own plan from an insurance company. Lines like Princess have better coverage for less money. Cruise.com will carefully avoid telling you about it. Once you paid you cannot buy the cruise line's insurance. You should call a few online agencies and tell them the best price your got. They might beat it or offer some incentive. Cruise.com is a factory and has no vested interest in helping you once you have paid. Plus, they book some many cruises that the cruise lines won't go up against them.
Liars and fraud!
Yesterday I run into fraud with cruise.com. Me, my family and friends booked more than 20 cruises with them during last 3 years and never had issues. Yesterday when was the last day "kids sail free" I've made a reservation (invoice 2183390 with total $1283.85). I could easily book directly with Royal Caribbean, but I trusted cruise.com! After booking nobody send me any confirmation. I immediately emailed to them but nobody replied to me. Later when their chat became available I tried to connect with them but after 1 hour waiting I had no success. I emailed them again and all they answered was- I'm not booked! No explanations, no regrets. Just several words! We were shocked. A couple of friends of mine booked this cruise 2 days ago and we had plans together! My daughter was looking forward for upcoming cruise! All plans destroyed! Thanks God I haven't booked tickets to Puerto Rico yet! Then there was a missed call from them (after 14 hours waiting) but I'm in vacation now with 12 hours difference with US and I had a night but I tried to call them back. but after 20 min hanging on the line there was no success. Now when prices increase they sent me a new invoice 218475 with total $1843.35. It's $600 more!! They are crazy and liars! I can't afford it now. All plans collapse! Liars! Liars! The worst customer experience for the several last years! They didn't confirm my reservation on time and offer me a new price as everything ok. My friends are shocked! Everybody is shocked! Definitely never book with them- no me neither my friends!

An hour of my life I will never get back!!
Wasted an hour of my life on hold just to find out it was a false advertisement. What made it entertaining was the sales rep was just as confused as me and had to put me on hold for 45 min to discuss it with someone else. When she finally came back she said "its not valid, sorta like when you see an advertisement for a car and when you get there they don't have that car" or "when you see an advertisement for a refrigerator with an ice dispenser but when you get to the store, you find out you have to pay extra for those options" LOL, Seriously???? I said "sooo you are saying its a SCAM?" She said "YES, well, its like a promotional advertisement" DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!
Cruise.com gives you nothing but inconvenience
You're better off booking directly with the cruise line. There was no difference in the rate for cruise.com versus the Royal Caribbean website, however the promise of covering our gratuities led us to book on cruise.com. Instead, we found that that promotion only applied to certain bookings (that information was not available during the reservation process), and now any personal changes, such as room layout, dining time, or table selection, has to be handled via contacting cruise.com instead of easily modified on the Royal Caribbean website.
In short, the promotional promises are a scammer. All you get is the exact same rate with the added inconvenience of going through a third party if you need to change certain aspects of your reservation.
Fake Shipboard Credits
Booked an Alaska cruise (last cruise of the season) thru Cruises.com. The cruise itself was terrific...Royal Caribbean...and we were not disappointed with onboard amenities, excursions, shipboard staff, etc. However, Cruises.com cheated us out of the "on-board credit". When we tried to apply it onboard, RCCL had no record of the credit and told us to check with Cruises.com. We were told by Cruises.com that we had to submit a claim after returning from the cruise, with a copy of a RCCL statement of onboard purchases. Have attempted for nearly two months to obtain the "claim form" from agent Mary Lowen...but have yet to receive it, even though we provided two email addresses. Now Mary Lowen is out of the office, available only during certain hours, does not reply to voicemail messages, and sends the obvious message that we have been screwed out of the promised shipboard credit. We are considering either a Mediterranean cruise or a European river cruise next Summer of Fall - it WILL NOT be thru Cruises.com.
I booked a cruise on Holland America …
I booked a cruise on Holland America via cruise.com. As I was going through the prompts the screen showed on board credit and beverage plus other perks. I agreed and gave my credit card, this was done on a Friday. I got the confirmation and did not see the promotions listed. I called withing the hour of making the reservation. The person I spoke to called H.A. and indicated I would get the package. I left my home for the weekend. On Monday I called to verify and question about the package. If I add it to my trip the charge $361/pp. I was told I did not use their site correctly. I followed all the prompts and pressed pay. No where did it say I was not going to get the package. I was told i didn't have the correct discount code. NO CODES ARE LISTED. I was told I should have called rather than use the website. Why would a company have a website to purchase a product/service and tell me I should have called. Now if I cancel I loose my $350 deposit. I will never use Cruise.com or recommend them to anyone. False booking information.
I found it almost impossible to get …
I found it almost impossible to get through to customer service. The instruction to select the different options did not even work. The rep promised they would send me a refund check for my entitled prepaid gratuities, but they never did. Now their answer is that the rep should not have said it. It was a big mistake on my part to trust cruise.com and Royal Caribbean. Cruise.com told me to call Royal Caribbean and Royal Caribbean told me to call cruise.com, the typical run around. I had to chalk this up as a bad experience with these two thieves. I lost so much valuable time dealing with both of them without receiving any satisfaction. I am no match for their incompetence and lies. I would never do business again with cruise.com and Royal Caribbean.
I recently booked a Viking River cruise …
I recently booked a Viking River cruise with Cruise.com and so far so good. The customer service has been phenomenal. Hannah, my original agent even came into the office on her day off to book my cruise.
No response & lies.
Stear clear of cruise.com. We were promised 100 dollars obc & the consultant blamed the cruiseline when it didn't appear. The cruiseline investigated & cruise.com had lied to me. I tried 5 times to get a response from 2 different consultants - no response. This company just wants your money - AVOID!
Horrible experience
Don't ever book a cruise online. This company will not stand up for you when you have a problem or try to help what so ever. As a booking agency you would think they would go to bat for you. If you are going to book a cruise or a trip then go directly to the company you sailing with. I had horrible customer experience and they turned a vacation into a nightmare.
Always a pleasure
I have used this site to book three cruises. Each time the transactions were handled completely an professionally. Also, each time I needed to amend a reservation, ask questions, or anything else my emails were answered within 48 hours without fail. Also, on the last two cruises we received an additional $50 OBC as a nice way of saying "Thank You" for our business. I'll never book directly through a cruise line again!
