Superb service and a true honest worker
James has delivered on what was promised any beyond.
Firstly, James responded promptly and informatively. A scoping appointment was arranged at a time convenient to me, despite being out of ‘regular working hours’. James thoroughly inspected the space and established the requirements. James clarified our preferences and made some suitable recommendations, from his professional experience.
Upon leaving, a message was received with expected turn around time and to arrange a meeting to walk through the requirements, opposed to simply sending a quote. Unusual but much appreciated, as when James did return, he walked us through all of the quotation including additional enhancements and choices for us to make. Guidance was given as to themes and materials that could be used, with pros and cons for each. This allowed us to make an educated decision with professional backing.
An agreement was made regarding costs for time and materials, and an initial date range was set, due to our flexibility, the Christmas period, and James’ schedule. While waiting for the date to be firmly set, materials were ordered and the scope was modified by us, with James acceptance and minor quote modifications. There was constant communication regarding deposit costs, material deliveries and next steps.
James was good enough to perform these duties out of working hours, to accommodate the family, but also set a reasonable date, to allow for materials to arrive.
When the weekend for installation came, James arrived early and promptly, with text warnings, to allow us suitable preparation. He continued to work, with his colleague, for more than a reasonable day, with nothing required other than a tea / coffee, due to him and his colleague bringing all other supplies. Beyond what was required, as the job could have been paused for the next day, but their instance on delivery, pushed them to complete the work.
When a problem was encountered, due to the house and angled walls, James was able to adjust as required, to ensure the bathroom installation was correctly implemented. There was constant communication and updates, including confirmation on preferences when the job required more than expected. A part unfortunately was not suitable due to the housing dimensions, therefore James insisted on returning, at a time to suit us, to conclude the job.
I will use no other plumber or bathroom installer in the area, now that I have James in my contacts. Truly superb and an example for others in the industry. Quality for a reasonable cost, with multiple compliments for the new bathroom and the kindness of James while on the job.
