The course is very challenging and introduces a broad range of writing styles and techniques. I'm pleased with the feedback I get from the tutor and feel as if my work is coming along well and my writing skills improving.

I am alrready a qualified journalist, but by signing-up for a British Academy Course, I'm aiming to broaden the scope of my wrting ability. I read the Assignment 1instructions wrongly, so I went back, made some tweaks and resubmitted it -a good move. I am finding the course logical and interesting, but if you don't get the result youwant the first time, don't hesitate to Tweak your answers and try agaun! GLYNIS FOX

I have now completed the first 2 units, and I feel with what I have learned I have beenable to improve my writing skills. Become much more critical as I now understand what exactly I am looking for when I edsit my work. I like the way yhe lessons are written out. They describe the learning objective in different ways so that everyone can understand whow to approach the task and complete it satisfactorily.

This course is amazing! This is my first creative writing course that I've done and it helped me gain confidence in my writing learn more to develop my skills. The tutor Eleanor has provided support and information whenever needed.
I truly recommend this course if you are looking to learn more and are unsure on where to start.

I am really enjoying my course with BACW. Although the course is mainly designed for self studying, I find the reading materials for each lesson very informative.

I would say the course is very well designed for people like me, who prefers to study online.

I'm certain a writing course arrives at your door when you're ready for it. I chose BACW after some research and I'm so happy I did. It's proven to be everything I was looking for. From the way it's designed, starting each assignment with a lengthy introduction, slowly leading you into the various assignments and finally the tasks you're asked to complete before submitting your work. I chose their home study program which has proven to be perfect for me. It allows you PLENTY of time which means it fits nicely into other commitments in your life as a whole. The time given is VERY generous and I'm repeating this to encourage other budding writers to consider doing what I've done. With some assignments you're also given plenty of leeway in terms of how long you want a piece to be. To me this means real artistic freedom and I like it a lot. The feedback you're given from you tutor is also very constructive and encouraging. Thank you.

The course is fantastic. It's rich with content and easy to learn materials which will turn any novice into a confident writer. My tutor Eleanor Hartley was brilliant. She helped me progress at my own pace. The support is second to none. The best part about learning with British Academy of Creative Writing is that you can do the same assignment twice in case you don't get it right the first time with the help of constructive feedback and the areas you need to improve on. I would recommend studying creative writing course for anybody who's dream is to become a writer. It truly is one of the best course I've done in ages. I highly recommend it.

With the British Academy of creative writing I have improved my writing skills, honed in on my strengths, gained the confidence to submit stories and articles and most of all it is a source of enjoyment. Learning about publishing to experimental writing, this course has it all and I would highly recommend it.

An incredible journey to embark on! I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working through the units as information is presented neatly and clearly. Having only completed 2 of the 15 units and having this strong of an impression should tell you all you need to know.

I am 'halfway' through my Certificate journey and I don't regret a single step. With three of the five units completed I am already beginning to see a difference in my writing.
Each Unit builds on the information from the previous unit. The course notes accompanying the units are comprehensive and clearly explain the structures underlying creative writing. They are closely aligned to the assignment tasks.
I have access to a knowledgeable and supportive tutor, who normally responds to inquiries within 24-48 hours. The Student Services Comms Team are equally responsive.
When I started writing, it was just for myself, I now have the confidence to share my narratives. This course is definitely worth exploring if you want to find and develop your narrative voice.
