Customer service is awful
Customer service is awful. I ordered a boat cover for my 1990 Mastercraft 190 Prostar. Put all the specs in appropriately. I received a cover for boat, or pontoon, that was at least 21 feet. The boat was on the shore station at the time of putting the cover on. It was like a garbage bag. Way too big. I contacted the company and they told me they would send me another cover once they receive the cover sent to me back. I was not going to allow my boat to be sitting bare in the elements for a potential 2+weeks until receiving another cover. They refused to own up to their mistake and requested I purchase yet another cover, because they wouldn't take the one they sent since it would have been worn. I will never purchase through this company again.

Hi Becky, we want to give the full picture here, because the record looks different from how it is described.
The cover that arrived was the wrong size, and we owned that immediately. Within a day we sent a prepaid return label, confirmed the correct cover was in stock and placed it on hold, and offered a full no-cost exchange. To keep the boat from sitting uncovered, we offered to get the correct cover moving as soon as the return was in transit, or to ship it right away if you preferred to reorder and have the original fully refunded the moment it came back unused. Every reasonable path to make this right was on the table.
A quick test-fit to confirm sizing is always fine. The difficulty here is that you let us know you intended to keep the original cover in use on the boat at the shore station through the fall, even after it was confirmed to be the wrong size. A cover used that way is weather-exposed and can no longer be resold or reused, and no retailer can absorb a returned product in that condition. We think any customer would understand why.
We're happy to continue to make things right, but any cover returned to us needs to be in new, unused condition.

I ordered a specific car cover for my car - a lightweight UV protector cover. After I placed my order, the company canceled the order and substituted a different type of cover - one that I specifically did not want because it was much more bulky than the one that I ordered. No communication was offered that allowed me to cancel this order if they could not fulfill the actual order that I wanted.

This review leaves out enough that the full story is worth posting for anyone reading.
The cover you ordered was being phased out, so rather than leave you on backorder, we upgraded you, for free, to our Platinum cover: the same UV protection, a longer warranty, added rain and wind protection, and sewn-in straps to hold it in high winds. We included a cable and lock kit at no charge. You paid nothing extra.
You told us you weren't requesting a refund or exchange but that you would leave this review regardless. We replied the same morning and offered to make it right, and to be clear for everyone reading: if the Platinum isn't what you want, send it back and we'll refund every penny, no restocking fee. That offer stands today.
You posted one star about 30 minutes later, without responding to any of it. In our experience, most customers are glad to receive a free upgrade and extra gear. We're sorry it wasn't the win for you that we'd hoped, and we tried to make it right.
