Ignoring emails about breakages

Had two broken bowls in my order so asked for replacement. They told me no stock so would refund. Still no refund despite numerous messages to them. Customer service non existent!!

The worst customer experience I have…

The worst customer experience I have ever encountered, by some margin.

My order was delivered damaged and 3 months later (and countless emails) I still have neither a replacement or refund. They simply do not care. I eventually had to contact my bank after waiting a month for the refund I was promised in writing (they even tried to dispute the chargeback!)

The prices are good, but be prepared to go through the chargeback process if anything goes wrong. Customer service is non existent.

Lost Order, No Refund: A Retailer Nightmare

This retailer provides an absolutely shocking level of customer service. If there's a problem with your order's shipment, don't expect a replacement or a refund. Their customer service sends automated email responses that show no intention of resolving any issues. I placed an order that UPS lost, and despite endless "investigations" and full acknowledgment that the order is indeed lost, I've been unable to get a refund

Broken china, terrible customer experience

Three out of four bowls arrived smashed. I emailed ten minutes after delivery and sent photos. I expected either an immediate refund or replacements. Instead I was drawn into a kafkaesque correspondence involving their terrible return portal and a bot. I had to fill in a return form even though only a madman would have wanted the shards of china returned to them. I have no faith that this simple matter will ever be resolved to my satisfaction.

Update - the bot has now started to communicate in Dutchor possibly Flemish. Can this get any worse?

Further update.
The three replacement bowls arrived today. One was smashed. The people packing don’t seem to know what they are doing. Email to customer services resulted in two more Dutch emails from the dreadful bot. Let’s see what tomorrow brings

Le creuset pan

Extremely disappointed with Cookinglife. I purchased a Le Creuset pan for €170, which comes with a lifetime guarantee. After just a week of normal use, a piece of the enamel chipped off. I contacted Cookinglife immediately — and despite sending five emails, all I received was a vague message saying they “forwarded the issue to the supplier” and then closed my case without resolving anything.

This is unacceptable. The product is clearly defective, and I expected Cookinglife to stand behind what they sell — especially for a premium brand like Le Creuset. Instead, I’ve been left chasing my own claim while they ignore their responsibility. Terrible customer service and a total lack of accountability.

Do not trust this company with high-value purchases. A “lifetime guarantee” means absolutely nothing if the seller refuses to honor it.

great customer service

My product arrived broken — presumably because it was handled roughly by the courier — and cookinglife had approved a replacement just 40 minutes after I'd report the breakage. I wish all online sellers were as straightforward to deal with!

Think twice before ordering from this…

Think twice before ordering from this site. It's really hard to send anything back to them (it costs a lot). Tried to send some cups back as they were really poor quality. They claimed one was broken and two others had chips on the rims. They weren't chips, they were imperfections and the reason I sent back. I won't be ordering from them again. It's just not worth it.

Be very careful when purchasing from…

Be very careful when purchasing from this crafty Dutch company. Trying to return items to this company through there returns form is impossible as they don't support UK return address. Don't reply to emails either for alternative method for returns.

Disappointing

Disappointing. Order a set of 6 glasses and 2 were damaged upon delivery. The company will only refund the cost of 2 of the glasses or suggest I have to return them for a replacement. I would expect a no quibble refund or full replacement rather than leaving me with just 2 out of 6 glasses.

AVOID

I spent 266.92€ on Studio Tavola dinnerware, which I received with scratches in the glaze on 80% of the items.
I decided to write a WhatsApp to request a return as my order was faulty and I was not satisfied with the quality and they never reply even though it offers this means of communication on its web site.
After 2-3 weeks awaiting for their answer by email, they offered me to keep the DEFECTIVE order with a 20% discount, which I decided to don't take it.
I continued to claim a refund by email to which they replied after a week with totally automatic messages without even bothering to personalise. When I had had enough I decided to arrange a return shipment to the company in the Netherlands, my 3 boxes were stuck in customs awaiting payment of duties and taxes by the company, which they never did so the shipping company sent them back to me after 1 week awaiting.
I am still waiting for a certain, coherent and responsible response from them. A SHAME COMPANY AND COSTUMER SERVICE.

Le Creuset Pan.

We bought a Le Creuset pan and the non-stick surface began to peel off a few months after purchase. Cookinglife would not refund or replace the damaged pan even though it was sold with a lifetime guarantee. They sent responses in different languages which we couldn’t read and stopped replying to our emails. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Delightful

Everything about this shopping experience was easy. The website works brilliantly from browsing to check out. My order arrived within a few days by Fedex and royal mail. Unfortunately one of the bowls was chipped during shipping but I used the online returns form and it was all sorted by cooking life within a few hours. A new bowl is on its way. I am very happy with the whole experience and my crockery is lovely.

No Warrantee if you change plug to UK Type

Purchased a Alessi Plisse Toaster and it came with a continental plug. Changed to UK type and after a month of use it failed. We contacted Cookinglife and requested assistance in getting it repaired. They informed us that as we had changed the plug, we had invalidated the warranty. Moral of story is that appliances not compatible with UK market from consumer rights point of view.

AVOID!!! Attention UK Customers

They made the return process as hellish as possible to try and make you give up. My legitimate return took a total of 6 months. Their return form doesn't cater to UK returns – there is no option for the United Kingdom as a return country. When I contacted customer service, some agents only spoke Dutch and couldn’t communicate in English. When I repeatedly asked for assistance, they kept directing me back to the return form, despite the fact that it didn’t include the United Kingdom as an option. This went back and forth in a frustrating circle since November 19, 2023, and I sent over 23 emails before finally figuring out how to return the items.
I didn’t give up because I didn’t want this company and their unhelpful customer service to get away with it. This is one of the worst online companies I have ever dealt with, and it's based in the Netherlands. Watch out, everyone!

Awful customer service

I ordered 6 glasses, half of them came broken. They sent me another 3 glasses, all of them came broken AGAIN! I requested a refund, no one answered. They completely ignored my request! It's been 2 months already.
