Offshore Based Conveyancers
Initially, it was a great experience. The customer services person was onto it, sending reports urgently and many times. However when it came to the actual conveyancing, it was a horrible experience. It added immense stress on an already super stressful time. The person I was assigned to would not reply to emails, when I call she would make excuses - had computer issues; didn't receive email etc - but while I am talking to her she would magically find the email. 3 times it happened until I complained to their head and they reassigned me to someone more senior. The new person was good, but was playing catch up and missed some critical details meaning I would've had to pay an additional $80k+ in duty - and they had only told me few hours before my time limit on the clause expired. I had told them before of my situation and they said it will be fine, and will make a note of it on the file - it still went unnoticed. At this point I was so annoyed and stressed out that I cancelled my contract and paid the fee to exit. I found the conveyancers are based in Philippines anyone can automatically deduce that they would not know all ins and outs of the AU laws around property.
Couple of weeks later the same customer services person mentioned above called asking for my feedback - but was not ready to listen to criticism and went into defensive mode, I don't know why she called me when she didn't want my honest experience and thoughts.
Pay a few hundred dollars extra, go with a local conveyancer or law firm and save yourself the hassle and stress.

We are incredibly proud of our Philippines team who make a fantastic contribution supporting our experienced AU legal team. That contribution is evidenced by the overwhelming positive feedback on this review platform. The assertion they are not capable is simply incorrect.
While your experience was not as we would hope, the stress attributed to the additional duty payment was our team working to obtain all the relevant details to protect your interests and avoid paying the additional duty. This allowed you to exit the contract during the due diligence. While we wish it was a better experience, we identified and worked hard to ensure you were in a position to avoid the additional payment.
We have also reviewed the phone call in relation to receiving feedback. Our team were receptive of the feedback and agreed they would pass it on and apologised for any issues you may have faced.

This is the second time I have used conveyancing.com.au. Amy was the person I communicated with. She was great. A very positive experience
This company did everything we asked of them and more. They were always pleasant and efficient and always available for any questions we had about the process of buying our house or any issues that came up. Rodshard Mendoza was great at his job and so approachable with clear communication. The conveyancing also cost what they said it would cost with no hidden fees. We were both very pleased with the outcome and everything happened on time or earlier than expected which was a pleasant surprise.

Roma was really good
Roma was really good. The only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars, was that several of the notifications we received by email and SMS were either late or early compared to phone conversations that we had had. This can cause confusion thinking that some items required actioning still, when they didn’t.
