It has been a breath of fresh air dealing with such a professional company where you are treated with respect at all times from the friendly ladies at reception, the fabulous Agents, especially Louise who has walked this journey with me, to the great training staff who ensure our training days are filled with updated information and lots of laughs.
I have been matched with wonderful clients barring one, where Louise was such a reassuring and caring voice at the end of the line assisting me all the way...
I am into my 5th year now and I am proud to be one of the Consultus Carers.

I have now been working for Consultus Managed Care for over a year and I can honestly say it’s great to be a part of their team. I have been treated with the greatest respect and when needing advice the managers are there to help. I have been matched up with clients very well, something I feel is important as you are with that client for most part of the day when in a booking. The Company ensures their carers own well being is looked after, which makes one feel part of the team. I enjoy helping people and love my new career with this company.

In managed care our training is always kept up-to-date and tailored to clients, but the best part of working with Consultus is the amazing support from my manager, Mel.

My journey as a Carer started in March 2019 when after decades of a sales and marketing career I wanted to switch to a more fulfilling career where I could make a difference in the lives of others. I am so grateful that my entry into the life of a live-in carer could be with the help of Consultus Care. The Consultants at the office are always on hand to give support and assistance where needed and I have always had clients, new and regular, during the past few years. I can comfortably recommend Consultus Care for anyone who is interested in starting an own journey as a Carer to the vulnerable elderly. I have been working as a carer for 10 years and from the beginning I felt I was in the right place. The work satisfies and fulfills me. Feeling useful and making a difference in someone's life is something really rewarding. Due to the pandemic that has settled in all parts of the globe, our work as a carer was very affected and ended up becoming a little stressful because there was not enough time to be with the people who need our attention. For this reason I decided to change the way I worked for one that allowed me to give my best and develop a good job. Consultus care had all the requirements I was looking for in a care company. A great structure and excellent professionals that give us a preparation that makes us confident to perform our role safely. I've been with the company for less than a year, but I'm sure I made the best choice.

I left South Africa, a country which I called home for 56 years, on a wing and a prayer to work in the UK as a live-in carer with Consultus Care & Nursing. It was work I had not done before and I had no guarantees of how it would turn out. It has been one of the best decisions I have made in life.
Consultus has been my lifeline to opportunities I would not have had back home. I have lived out of a suitcase going on four years, working full time and enjoying the comfort of the Consultus carer houses as my home between bookings. They are my refuge and my home away from home.
There have been clients (no fault of Consultus) which I would prefer to forget, but the majority of my bookings have been with clients that I have built wonderful relationships with and so have become my ‘regulars’ which continue to offer sustainable continuity.
My work with Consultus offers me the opportunity to grow, to serve others and also represent the ethos of what the company stands for: their high level of professionalism, their commitment to on-going training which ensures their carers are well equipped for the tasks at hand, and the dedication of their consultants who work tirelessly and diligently to ensure carers are kept in work.
I would most definitely not be where I am today without the Team and the support, friendship and constant efforts of my consultant, Stephanie Gillam, who ensures I am always working.
Care work may not be for everyone but if you’re serious about making a difference, if you have a love of people and want to pay it forward - you can’t do better than becoming a part of the Team.

I have been a carer for almost 20 years - most with Consultus. The consultants are lovely, approachable and efficient, and I have never had reason to complain. I have reservations regarding care for certain types of clients, and these are always respected by the consultants.

Where a lot of other care agencies have let their carers and clients down, Consultus have always ensured I have work, and the clients I have worked for have been satisfied with the care provided.

I am happy to continue working with Consultus until I am ready to retire!

I chose to work for Consultus because it seemed from their website that they actually care about their Carers. These are very challenging times for Social Care and many companies have failed both Clients and Carers, mainly because of the extreme industry demands made upon them, I believe.

To me Consultus is like a beacon in the dark. They actually take the time to consider the needs of their Carers, and to cater for them well, which affects the quality of care Clients get from the Carers. The company, as far as I am aware, recruit good Carers and look after them properly, as other people's reviews have shown. This means that Consultus can retain good staff and provide a more consistent service, in spite of the challenging times we face.

I am grateful to the numerous companies in Social Care that I have worked for. They trained me and have given me a lot of work experience. I, nevertheless, fault most of them and believe that they have a lot to learn from Consultus which is head and shoulders above nearly all them in maintaining such high standards not only in caring efficiently and effectively for Clients but also for its Carers.

Like other employee reviewers, I feel confident, secure, supported, appreciated, valued, for which I am thankful in these troubled times.

I have worked as a live-in carer for consultus care for six years and I have to say that they are one of the best agencies to work for. Their training programmes help carers stay up to date with their training and the courses themselves are fun and thorough. The care consultants in the office are so friendly and helpful and are on hand to sort out any problems or issues that invariably crop up from time to time. I have worked as a live-in carer for 24 years so have worked with a few different agencies over the years, but Consultus Care is by far, THE best agency that I have worked for. If you are looking for live-in care work or are looking for an agency to look after a loved one, I really do think that Consultus is one of the best.

Having used this agency over 4 years, initially I was reasonably impressed with the way they reacted so quickly and efficiently. However as time went on the company itself became less than helpful, I had to repeatedly get hold of them to find out what was happening if anything, indeed on a number of occasions I found carers myself. On one notable occasion they even booked a carer who just days before she was supposedly due to come, didn't even know she had been booked! Communication most certainly does not seem to be a top priority of theirs, too many different 'consultants' making it very difficult to get any sort of continuity of care for your relative. Agency doesn't seem to have an idea of our location ie geography, often sending carers from the other side of the country. Most carers were ok, one or two I have to say were expectational, however I don't think the company does very good checks on, for example, a carers driving capability as we found to our cost - nearly killing the client. Once there became issues with the care of the client, with further difficulties obtaining carers, the company simply and suddenly dropped us like hot coals, leaving the family little time in which to find a suitable replacement agency. I would be weary about signing with them, there are other I have to say better companies around.

From the first contact I was made to feel wanted, needed and valued. Their support , understanding and consideration for their carers and clients is phenomenal. Joining Consultus Care was one of my best life decisions.

Although only starting as a full time employee a month ago, I can already say this is the best company I have worked for.
