Misleading
When I placed my order in November 2022, I was told my delivery date would be within around 10 days, which was great. However, within a week I received an email that the order was delayed and would be dispatched at the end of December. When it came to the end of December, I received another email notifying me that the new expected dispatch would be the end of January 2023. In the end I received my order at the end of February 2023 - over 4 months late.
I understand that this was an issue from the manufacturer's side (hence not 1 star), but I would have expected better transparency on delivery date which would have allowed me to manage my expectations and adjust the planning of my project. Disappointing supply chain management.

I am sorry you were not happy with your experience with us which, as you point out, was due to delays from the manufacturer who was experiencing supply chain issues. We did try to make this as clear as possible by having a statement in bold / red above the “add to basket” icon saying that this product was affected by supply chain issues and that lead times can vary to the standard lead time stated. The changes in lead time was not due to a lack of transparency, we can only give information when / that we receive from the manufacturer and I can see we updated you every time we were told of a change.
We did offer the same product in a different pack size which was in stock with manufacturing, however you chose to wait for the pack size ordered. We also offered the opportunity to cancel and refund at any time, but it is highly likely that this product was not available elsewhere either.
Henkel (like many manufacturers) have been heavily affected by supply chain disruptions over the last year and we have both been working hard to ensure customers are impacted as little as possible. The supply chain issues are not yet resolved however things appear to be easing up now and so hopefully you won’t be affected next time you do require the materials.

Thank you for your review and I am sorry you were not happy with your purchasing experience.
I have checked and our website showed that this product was not in stock. It showed “available to order, your estimated delivery is DD/MM/YY”. This was advised again at checkout when selecting delivery date and additionally in our emailed acknowledgment.
The manufacturer has been facing raw material delays due to world wide issues and this material has unfortunately been one of the materials affected. We have a red highlighted statement about these issues above the “add to cart” button. We also provided updates at every stage of the way and had this material expedited from Germany to be able to supply as quickly as possible.
The invoice was automatically sent to the purchasing email address at point of despatch and, when a copy was requested, this was emailed straight away.
