Web site booking page initially confusing, but good interaction with online/phone agent to change/update booking

Great easy advice! Would recommend.

Great customer support. My holiday was changed l, which meant we couldn't use our planned ferry. The dates were changed with no trouble at all and an email confirmation was received promptly. We had to pay a fee for changing, but at least we could alter our booking.

Service was fine as usual but absolutely NO cheaper than going direct.
It’s meant to be up to 50% cheaper. Disgraceful

I found it quite easy to book the ferry and directions to the ferry were easy to follow. The ride was long but quite enjoyable.

What made my purchase great?

Primarily, the price. I could not believe the price being quoted by my usual Ferry Comparison Site. £330.00 for a single crossing, Dieppe - Newhaven, with one standard car and two passengers. The date I wanted was "Sold Out". Outrageous.

Got the sailing I wanted from Compare Ferries for £79.50. Same boat, same operator, same time and a huge price difference.

I negotiated a deal for ferry to UK, followed the link for payment, completed the transaction and then was notified the price had changed and I needed to make another extra payment. This service is unfair and certainly questionable - go direct to the ferry company - that’s my advice. I cancelled the booking

I booked a ferry from Calais to Dover for £75 which I paid on the website. Payment was taken and confirmed with a reference number. The next day I received a phone call to say that my booking was not confirmed and that I needed to pay a further £75 in order to travel on the agreed time. I was given the option of a refund or to change the travel time to 1:30am which I refused and demanded that my booking remain at the original time of 17:20. I was told the price increase was due to a technical error and the agent said I had to pay the additional £75. As it was too late to reschedule with another operator I was left with no choice but pay. I am extremely dissatisfied with this and will be escalating this with Compare Ferries. Absolutely terrible excuse. Avoid this site if possible. I shall be booking through alternative means in the future.

staff freindy , no problems, quite crossing

We had to cancel our booking. Got told we could rebook before end March 24. Phoned back with new dates and then got told we had to rebook before Dec 23. Phoned back with new dates and then got told we had to rebook by 10th October. We are not able to do this so have lost our money. It’s our fault, but poor communication giving us hope of a rebooking.
