The website is really well done and organized, the possibility of seeing the upcoming cars before they're actually auctioned creates the right amount of tease.
On assisting in the sale all I can say is that the contacts were immediate and the followup was nice, but I could manage everything easily directly with the seller (wonderful person) without need for assistance.
In my case (not needing assistance for dealing with the seller) maybe the commission fee is a bit high, it could be worth investigating a reduction in cases like mine.
But all in all it was a good experience

I, unfortunately, had to sell my late Dad’s car. I knew he had purchased it from Collecting Cars so thought that was the best route to go down for selling again. I got in touch with Hugh quite early on and he was extremely helpful. Cars, especially fairly unique cars, are not my thing. Hugh was great through the whole process, advising what he thought the car would realistically sell for, recommending a photographer and setting up the auction. Once the auction was live I was assigned a new consignment specialist but Hugh still checked in and even made contact as soon as the auction was finished to discuss the result. Which I was more than happy with. He helped me to maximise the potential of the car and I really appreciate his help. Anyone who is assigned Hugh is in for a positive successful experience!
Definitely sad to see my dad’s car move on but also grateful for the smooth process to get it to this stage.

Great Service from the guys at collecting cars

As a collector, I have sold 4 Porsches through Collecting Cars over the last 18 months. However, I am now forced to doubt their impartiality in their auction process. A recent dispute has resulted in their representative describing the successful bidder who refused to complete the purchase of another one of my cars as their "client". Forgive me for believing that, under any circumstances, the seller is the client and the rules of auction should be enforced, no matter who the bidder is or how many cars he may have previously bought. Given great advice by Collecting Cars advisor Hugh Adam’s on possible value and given that a reserve was not possible. However in the event the car made more than my thoughts on a possible reserve price and indeed exceeded my expectations. There were slight technical difficulties with the site through the auction period which were resolved quickly and efficiently. All in all a great sale experience and bearing in mind I had previously bought a replacement vehicle I am more the happy to confirm my positive views on both purchase and sale. Just completed a purchase on Collecting Cars would just like to say how fantastic and smooth the whole process was Ethan fantastic. They even called me after my purchase to make sure everything was to my satisfaction the communication between myself and the seller was absolutely spot-on fantastic easy transaction.

Samuel Nicholson from Collecting Cars looked after me when I sold my Aston Martin Dbs. He kept me informed through out the whole process .From the start to finish it’s been seamless, no effort from me was required. The platform really works well, they came and took photographs and then went live with the 7 day auction.
