Customer service is terrible, constantly told over the phone that the shop is closed by answer m/c, yet the website says open. Left several emails that were not responded to. Took three weeks to get a refund.

Despite there being no indication about this on their site, ordering from Greece—or likely anywhere in the EU—means you'll have to shell out an extra 30% for import fees and taxes upon receiving your items! I initially navigated through their German portal (.de), only to be redirected to the UK version without any visible clues or alerts. This crafty maneuver makes EU consumers mistakenly believe they're purchasing from an EU-based entity. When I reached out to discuss a refund, they responded:Unfortunately, since VAT wasn't collected by us, we don't hold any funds to return to you. These tax and duty fees are the customer's responsibility. It seems they're comfortable with public deceit, as I provided them screenshots proving the absence of any such alerts on their website. This kind of dishonesty over a mere €25 issue doesn't speak well for the company's integrity.

Having tried on my old shorty wetsuit before a last minute getaway and realised I’d outgrown it since 6 years, I ordered a new wetsuit from Coast Water Sports on Wednesday morning and it was received by Friday morning. Really pleased with my purchase and impressed by the team’s service, dedication and efficiency!

This notice says when it is open and closes but to save anyone time, don't bother to visit as it is just a container not a shop.

CoastWaterSports offers decent service with prompt delivery and good communication. They have a variety of products like surfboards and accessories that are generally high-quality. However, their website lacks clear information about additional costs for international buyers, like import duties, which can be frustrating for EU customers. Although they address returns professionally, the lack of upfront warnings about extra charges and confusing site navigation left a bit to be desired. Overall, they are reliable but could improve transparency.

I recently bought a new surfboard from this shop, and the board are high-quality and has greatly improved my surfing experience.

I bought a mystic wetsuit from them, it was a perfect experience.. great company to deal with even overseas.

They have NO WARNING on the website, but when you order from Greece (and probably from the EU in general) when you receive the goods you need to PAY 30% MORE in import duties and taxes!!
My navigation started on their German website (.de) and then it switches you to the UK website without warning or any change in general appearance.
So, they can get EU customers to buy from them thinking they buy from an EU company...!
When I told them and asked for a refund their reply was:

I am afraid that as you have not paid any VAT to us we do not have any payment from you to refund you.
I am afraid these tax/duty charges are for the customer to cover.
I am really sorry for any inconvenience.

On their reply on Trustpilot they write they have a warning on every page. They obviously have no problem to lie in public as on my emails I have proven them with screen shots that their website has ZERO WARNING. A very bad sign for a company to continue to lie in public for an issue of 25€...
They put a very low price on honesty...

Ordered a product marked as 'In Stock' from their website on 13/06/23 @ 1453hrs. Product finally despatched on 19/06/23 and finally delivered on 22/06/23. Over a week

Queried this with coast and got the following reply:
This shows that stock is available.
When you click into each item it then either tells you it is “in stock|” or “ships within 3-4 days” as it is at the warehouse.

So was this item (stated as in stock) in their warehouse or the manufacturer/importers?

This surf shop had a great variety of boards and wetsuits, and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly in helping me make my purchase. I have used my new board and wetsuit several times now and they are both excellent quality.

Good, friendly communication from Coast Water Sports, but the international courier service they use is hopeless and it took 39 days for the parcel to be delivered to me in Sydney.

About the courier (DPD/Aramex):
- 11 days after the order, I'm told they can't deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers (not mentioned on the website at time of writing);
- I made a mistake with a the updated post (zip) code and had to call them four times to get them to change it;
- Can't provide an authority to leave;

Thirty. nine. days. Not good enough.
Use another courier.

Super Kundenservice, hatte einen Garantiefall der über den Shop abgewickelt werden musste, Fazit: Super schnelle und freundliche Antworten obwohl nur Zusatzkosten für den Shop entstehen konnten.

Needed Zone3 Heat Tech Neoprene Gloves and Socks. There are several companies who stock these items but chose CoastWaterSports as they are a family business in the UK. There service was excellent. Website was good and received my order the following day.

Good product. Quick delivery.

Purchase came promptly. No quibble return. Very pleased. Will use them again.
