Paid customer, no support, features removed without notice
I had a very disappointing experience with CleanShot.
I am a paying customer with a standalone lifetime license. Without any prior notice or clear communication, CleanShot removed important functionality that allowed custom uploads to self-hosted servers (for example, Zipline). This feature was one of the key reasons I originally chose the product, as CleanShot positioned itself as an independent tool, not a cloud-locked service.
Support is essentially non-existent. I contacted them multiple times regarding the removed functionality and later requested a refund — I received no response at all. No explanation, no timeline, no acknowledgment.
Silently removing features, pushing users toward their own cloud, and completely ignoring support requests is not acceptable behavior for paid software.
I would strongly recommend reconsidering CleanShot if you rely on self-hosting, third-party integrations, or expect responsive customer support.
