I have emailed them a couple of times but no reply. Also I called the free phone number, he said I would get the refund by Friday or Monday today I think. But nothing has arrived.

We feel that this feedback is somewhat unfair.
You returned the item to us in person on 27 July (Thursday), and we initiated the refund on the following working day (Friday). As the original payment was made online by bank card, the refund must be processed automatically through the same payment system.
Card refunds can take approximately 3 to 5 working days to appear in the customer’s account. This processing time is controlled by the card issuer and payment provider, not by us.
When you visited our premises (10 minutes before you left your feedback), we explained that the refund had already been initiated and that you would need to allow the standard processing time for your bank or card provider to complete it.
We do not hold your full card details; we can only see the final four digits. The refund is processed securely and automatically through our website payment system.
We therefore completed everything required from our side promptly, and unfortunately, we have no control over how quickly Visa, Mastercard or your bank settles the refunded amount.
You should allow the official 3-5 working days your refund to arrive, before you leave such a feedback!

This was my first order and my initial inquiry and subsequent dealings with Andrew were seamless and excellent indeed. The support I received during the inquiry stage through to the execution of the order were first class. My order for a water drain grille for my 1988 Mercedes Benz W126 500SEL, arrived in Thailand within a short period intact, due to the excellent packing. I will place more orders with them for my future requirements.

The parts are fine
The parts are fine, the communication was good, but the packaging to the Netherlands left a lot to be desired. The box was torn on all sides and the chips had fallen out... it's a miracle the parts were still inside. This really needs to be done much better from now on: a sturdy box inside a sturdy box with plenty of bubble wrap and chips, and then wrapping the box completely well in plastic tape.

We completely understand your frustration regarding import fees, and these charges do not help us as a business either.
However, for orders shipped from the United Kingdom, the United States, and several other countries to the European Union, including France, any customs duties, import taxes, and handling fees are applied by the local customs authorities or the courier in the destination country. These charges are not set, charged, or collected by Cannstatt | Classic Mercedes Parts.
The United Kingdom left the European Union more than six years ago, and unfortunately this means that orders from the UK to EU countries may be subject to import charges. This is not something we can control or include in the product price, as the final charges are determined locally.
We do not feel it is fair to leave such poor feedback about our service because of import duties charged in your own country. These costs are not part of our service and are outside our control.

Incorrect cable for the 300SEL 6.3
Easy to find the part and speedy delivery. The cable, unfortunately, had to be sent away to be modified, because it didn't have the correct fitting. In fact, it was the incorrect part and is now sitting in the boot of my Jaguar. Had to have cable made! ????? Why would I order a 300SEL 3.5 Cable for a 6.3?? Mind you, it was a rare RHD example. Still can't fault the service.
