We started Ciao Bella because we wanted our own children to be able to call their best friend after school without needing a phone loaded with social media and distractions. Calls between Ciao Bella phones are always free, so two friends who both have one can stay in touch without it costing a thing. Every phone is designed to be safe and simple: parents control who their child can call, and children get the independence of picking up a phone and dialling someone they love, just like we did growing up. Hugo and Mia adore it. They pick it up and chat away with Oscar and Bella like they're old friends, and the giggles never stop. It's so cute to watch them.
What I love most is that it gets them talking, listening and taking turns, all without a screen. They're practising real conversation while having fun, and they don't even realise they're learning.

Such a brilliant idea for kids! We absolutely love our Ciao Bella Phone. It gives my son the independence of being able to call his family and his little network of people, without us having to give him a smartphone.
As a parent, I love that I have complete control through the app over who he can call and who can contact him, so it feels really safe and age appropriate. There’s also something so sweet about bringing back the old-school landline phone and hearing him call his grandparents, family and friends for a chat.
Such a clever concept and the perfect middle ground for parents who want their kids to have some independence and connection without introducing a smartphone too early. Couldn’t recommend it more! ❤️
