We are sorry to hear that you feel communication has fallen below your expectations. We take all feedback seriously and always aim to keep homeowners informed regarding ongoing repairs, maintenance matters and account enquiries.
In this case, we have been actively corresponding regarding the reported roof issue, contractor inspections, proposed repairs, funding arrangements and account-related queries while also progressing a formal complaint through our complaints procedure.
We recognise that waiting for a repair to progress can be frustrating, particularly where a problem is affecting day-to-day enjoyment of a property. While some aspects of communal repairs are dependent upon contractor assessments, owner approvals and funding requirements, we remain committed to providing updates and progressing matters as quickly as reasonably possible.
As there is an open complaint, we will continue to address the specific concerns raised through our formal complaints process to ensure they are considered fully and fairly.

Euan Moore is an excellent manager
Euan is an excellent manager, in my opinion the best we’ve come across over the past four years of CW management, tentative and super responsive. He solved my leaking ceiling(top floor resident) which has been a problem for more than 3.5 years, it was dreadful to a point we just left a few buckets in the room for years as permanent water containers, hopeless with CW. I have had a very bad experience with CW up until Euan took over and really impressed me with his effort and willingness to go that extra mile to resolve our problems, with great transparent communication between residents and contractors! From a potential 1-star complaint to a 5-star review, super grateful to have Euan as our 5-Star manager, keep up the good work!

Could not care less
We have been waiting for years for an EWS 1 form in order to sell our home. Charles White have failed to provide one, or to give any indication of when they will do so. Their staff have been unhelpful in the extreme, refusing to respond to calls and emails. We are stuck in a dirty, poorly managed building with no possibility of moving on. Charles White are clear that they could not care less.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are genuinely sorry for the frustration and uncertainty you have experienced, particularly given the impact this has had on your ability to sell your home.
We completely understand how difficult and upsetting this situation is for affected owners. Unfortunately, an EWS1 certificate cannot be issued until the external wall system has been fully assessed and any necessary remediation works have been completed.
To progress matters, we have commissioned a Fire Risk Appraisal of External Walls (FRAEW) report, which identified that remedial works to the cladding are required before an EWS1 certificate can be obtained. Following this, an application has been submitted to Homes England for grant funding to cover the cost of these works. Securing this funding is extremely important, as the estimated cost of the required remediation would otherwise fall to homeowners and is understood to be in the region of £100,000.
We appreciate that the process has taken far longer than anyone would have hoped. While many aspects of the funding and remediation process are outside of our direct control, we continue to work with the relevant parties to progress the application and move matters forward as quickly as possible.
We are sorry that you feel the service you received from our team did not meet expectations. We take feedback seriously and will review your comments internally. We remain committed to supporting owners through what is an exceptionally challenging situation and will continue to provide updates as further information becomes available.

Great Service by Paul - Charles White Limited
I recently moved into Portland 88, and I have had a very positive experience so far. The Charles White Limited team, and especially Paul Sanders, have been incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive throughout the process.
Paul has gone above and beyond to make sure we settled in comfortably and that all our concerns were addressed promptly. Any issues or queries we have raised have been handled quickly and efficiently, which has made the whole moving-in experience very smooth and stress-free.
