Attending The Central School has been invaluable to my ongoing education and development as a makeup artist and the schools assistance after finishing my course has allowed me to continue flourishing in the makeup industry. There is always amazing support and brilliant teaching as well as really individual help for each student and the path they want to take. Even though I finished my course over a year ago, I continue to be in contact with the school and still feel able to reach out to them for advice and I also continue to receive support in finding work.

I joined this course with no prior experience of using make-up, and I’m so glad that I chose this IMA Foundation course at The Central School of Make-up. The tutors have been so patient with me, they have explained everything clearly and it has helped to boost my confidence.

This is a course that at first felt overwhelming due to me not previously using make-up, but I joined so that I could learn new skills to help with my photography shoots.

I’m so happy that I made the decision to join because everyone is friendly and approachable and they quickly put me at ease.

For the lessons we use the school’s own make-up and it’s a huge range so we can test out different brands, and hygiene is taken very seriously, which is reassuring when using products.

Overall, this is a course that I’d happily recommend, and it’s started me on a path that I want to follow with The Central School of Make-up because I now want to keep going and join their other courses so that I can improve my skills and learn more.

Amazing place! Had there my Foundation makeup courses and liked it so much that decided to join Creative courses! The highest standard of teaching and hygiene level, also absolutely warm, kind and knowledgeable people! You are getting so much more for your money! Teachers really care for you to understand everything and go out from there a real professional!

I had a one to one make up lesson today with Stephen and it was brilliant. I learned how to do an evening makeup / going out look for myself with some dramatic eyes and took lots of tips and tricks away from today. Thank you

Absolutely no customer care . Emailed , rang and each time they say they can’t help but would get someone to ring back , no one does. It seems a strange company as they have telephone numbers that aren’t local and an answering service that can’t help. Do not use there are much better places to book.

Highly recommend The central school of makeup. I attended the birmingham branch and completed their Saturday foundation course. They had a great selection of makeup for students to use from high end to drug store which really helped my learning. I loved the learning environment and the teachers are amazing like Laura and becks who were very supportive. I've learnt lots and I'm really pleased that I chose them over other schools. I recommend their foundation Saturday course and would definitely consider doing future courses in the future especially as their course was accredited.

I had a great time at the Central School Of Makeup. I did the IMA foundation level intensive 4 day course. The school was very flexible and adapted the course to my needs and timeframe. The makeup studio was fully equipped with a wide range of high end and drugstore makeup and skincare products. It was also extremely clean, tidy and hygienic. Everything is run at the top level of professionalism. Laura and Becky are wonderful teachers. They have a lot of patience, passion and take pride in what they do. I am grateful for all the knowledge, skills and techniques they shared with us. I left feeling very confident to work on clients and do various makeup looks. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to start makeup or like myself wanting a refresher.

I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is looking to get into the makeup industry! Through this course you are given the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills and techniques, different looks and are also able to experiment with many different products. Not only do you learn physical skills, but also a deep insight into the industry and how to be successful in your business. This 10 week course was such an enjoyable experience, this wasn’t just a learning experience but a chance to meet some amazing people and make a great group of friends. Laura, our tutor is incredibly talented and passionate about the makeup industry and was so supportive throughout our course. I loved my training so much and I could not recommend this course enough!

I did the IMA Foundation 10 week course at CSMU. I absolutely loved every minute of it! It was very informative and we were able to test what we had learned every single week by practising on each other. I felt confident leaving the course to then take on makeup bookings and build my career. Special thank you to Laura and Becky who were both brilliant teaching us on the course. I'd definitely recommend to anyone wishing to get into the makeup industry.

I’d been looking for a training course in makeup for a long time when I came across the Central school of makeup based conveniently based in Birmingham and ideal for me with the 10wk course running on a Sunday. I found Laura and Becky to be very pleasant and helpful with Laura responding very quickly when I emailed work over for her to check. Becky was our main teacher offering excellent demonstrations for use all to follow. Whilst there we had the experience of several makeup artists showing us various looks. The school itself was well stocked with various makes of makeup no shortage of choice! The classroom area was very neat and kept to a high standard. Given the opportunity I would definitely train there again.

The standards of professionalism at this school are outstanding. The lecturers are both credible leading industry experts but also highly skilled teachers. The standards are high and the expectations of students are equally high. However the support and nurturing available is outstanding so any sense of pressure is diffused. Students are left with a head start in the industry. It is a fabulous course

The course outline is well structured, and the knowledge of brands and makeup techniques is trendy and practical. It is very practical, like on-the-job training. The tutors have great makeup industry experiences with different styles. Focus on student and teacher relationships. The amount of knowledge and hands-on practice I gained in the two-week intensive course can never be matched with watching social media or attending an online course.

I cannot explain the level of support provided and atmosphere that the lovely teachers at this school create. I completed my 3 week foundation level makeup and hair diploma and I can honestly say it has given me the confidence and motivation to go further. Laura, Becky, Stephen and Michaela are great teachers! I really recommend the school to those who are interested. Thank you for all the support and knowledge! ❤️

Truly a great experience, I enjoyed every day of the course and have recommended it to other people. The course is enjoyable for makeup lovers and beginners, and the staff lovely and help you along the way.

I have been very pleased with this course as they were very helpful and was able to learn different techniques in a short space of time. Would like to thanks Laura in particular as she was really understanding and did help with my understanding as English is not my first language.
