Great management and really good drivers

I was looking for 7.92 blanks for reenacting, found this company advertising the ammo I wanted at a reduced price, stated on their website that they had 200 rounds which was perfect, so ordered it. Normally order from the main importer. Ordered the ammo, but heard nothing back so went by the website order form for statuses etc. I emailed a few times but received replies which were curt to say the least, not sure if its me but when someone buys something from you, you want the customer to feel that your order is important to them.

Then received a part refund of my order without a reply as to why this had happened. Again I sent an email to ask what was the problem. Got a reply that they had checked the ammo they had and found that part of it that the supplier had been sent was not correct (thought at time why was their order not checked when it arrived as I always check my orders?).

Was told due to this I would only be getting 85 rounds hence the refund, was not happy with this but had to accept it.

The order on the website did not change for quite a few days, when I was told that it had been sent.I had arranged with a local RFD gun shop and they were happy to accept the ammo for me with no charge which was nice of them.

Concerned by the lack of communication I emailed to get another curt email. Due to the lack of communication the impression I got was that we have got your money so we don’t now give a toss now.

The ammo arrived at RFD, only found out as they called me, once again thought the supplier would have contacted me to update me on the progress.

The final problem was I checked the ammo to see if I had the correct amount as I felt I could not trust the order, and found that I had 84 rounds of the correct ammo and one round of whatever to make it up to 85 (yes I know it one just one round but it the principal that I paid for 85) if they had said sorry our mistake we have now only 84 rounds I would accepted it, but the customer experience has been dented further.

I emailed them to say that I had a round which is not correct, but have not received a reply, which I am not surprised.

Would I order again from this company the simple answer is no, I only ordered the ammo from them as it was cheap, and now don’t think I could trust them again.

Since the order I have found another supplier who deals with reenactors face to face so will be buying it from him in the future.

I try to give credit where its due, but from my experience I am giving a two star.

Ordered items in January 2020 then again, stupidly in May 2021, The website stated they had stock and gave an expected arrival date which they published on the web site.
The stated expected delivery date of days turned into a wait of months with no updates from them so I got my money back, which also took ages!!
Went to 1967spud and had what I wanted by the end of the week

The only issue I have had is there communication, they will not answer there phone, and when there say in there email that is sent in response to an email, they will contact you in 24 hours never happens

Well, I read all of the reviews and I have to say they were very polarised. Some of the reviews, being perfectly honest looked a little, well, faked if I'm honest. Whether there's any truth in that I don't know, but I can assure you that this is real and written by a real customer. I decided that I was only going to buy something that was shown as being in stock. This was my first order so I was cautious. I didn't want to get into any kind of back-order tangle. I placed my order and got an almost immediate confirmation. Within a short time I received a Royal Mail T&T confirmation and less than 48 hours later, Postie was knocking on my door with a package. Utterly delighted. I shall use them again and if the service is any different, trust me I shall leave another honest review.

This is the worst company I’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. First class scumbags!!!! I was lied to when placing my order and was told it would be ready the next week when they obviously knew it would be months later. When it didn’t turn up they refused to answer emails, when they eventually do reply they are extremely unprofessional and unhelpful. After it didn’t turn up over a month later I eventually had a snotty reply to “check the website for back order ETA’s” which stated it would be several more months before these items were back in stock, I had no option but to order the items elsewhere and instructed CDGS/ Reloading UK to cancel my order which they subsequently refused to do. Even now they refuse to allow me to cancel the order or issue a refund. Surely it cannot be legal for an online retail shop to refuse to allow you to cancel an order that they don’t have in stock and hasn’t been dispatched. I have ordered from this place before and luckily not had an issue until now but always wondered why so many people had bad things to say about them, until now. I will never use this company again

Avoid. I have placed quite few orders with him. Large ones were processed in decent way, however I always had to chase small ones, as I never received them on time. Now I am waiting for an order already 2 months. I asked for an update and my emails are simply ignored. Initially guy told me that I have to wait in average 6 weeks. So I asked for another update after 8 weeks from the moment my original order was confirmed. (I have received since than only “auto-reply” to my emails, including to my refund request (on 27th on November). Until this review no refund was issued, or any useful reply to my emails was received. AVOID

I was just contacted by that seller, and I was told that refund will be issued. Let's wait and see (4th of December) 

Not true at all, I called multiple times. It always goes to the voicemail, with info that this phone is no longer available, and that I have send an email. All emails I sent were simply reply to my order with all required info in it. Each time I sent an email I got auto reply from them with some useless info. So email WERE delivered ...

I missed order details in this review, which I added few min ago, as seller claims this is fake review. He called me so he knows that order was real.

I have edited my initial review as the company had not received my cancellation emails and as soon as they did they refunded my money instantly.
Initially I had thought they were ignoring me and I left a bad review on here but it turned out to be my yahoo email address not going through to them.
As soon as I sent my query from another email address it was dealt with quickly and efficiently. For anyone else who has this issue please think it could be you not them as it was in my case.

I received an order of Alox 1/3 has a leak, so far CDSG has ignored 2 emails requesting action. Not great, I will update this in a few days. In the past this company has performed well but this is letting them down - buyer beware...

Placed several orders over the previous months. The prices are competitive. The only problem is alot of items advertised are not in stock, it is clear on the site if in stock and an estimate on their availability date.

When I have placed subsequent orders they have shipped the in stock items from previous incomplete orders which is appreciated. Though with one order over two months old and having several outstanding items the occasional update on status would not go amiss.

Overall pleased with service and prices. I would and have recommend them to others, with the caveat of splitting orders into in stock and out of stock items.

After emailing them for a price match they agreed.
I placed a order from there webpage for a rcbs press which said it was in stock, once I’d paid My invoice said Back Order. So I emailed asking when I was likely to receive it and twice I got a reply saying once it had cleared customs. Naturally I wasn’t happy not knowing when I would get my press. I then sent 3 emails explaining that I couldn’t wait that long and could I have a refund but they didn’t reply to any of these so I left it a few days then emailed again only to be told that I knew it wasn’t in stock and agreed to buy it on back order and they wasn’t going to refund. I then replied saying I was going to contact trading standards they replied back straight away saying they look forward to it and my item will be shipped regardless also I should read terms and conditions ( about 15 pages worth ).
Be very carefull people not very nice company to deal with to say I’ve spent a good few hundred pound with them.

This is a business from the dark ages.

In this day and age you can't run a business like you did in 1980. Your stock system need to be current and online and delivery is next day. Location doesn't matter anymore, just price, availability and delivery.

This company has a stock system where they sell things without knowing if they can get it and then order it from the supplier with delivery up to 14 weeks after you bought and paid for it!!!

I bought a Hornady die for my home loader and it said 2 weeks delivery as it was "out of stock". That was acceptable as the alternative was to buy from US and all the customs malarchy.

It didn't arrive after 4 weeks and I contacted them and they said they were awaiting their Hornady delivery shortly and would get back to me.

They never did so 1 month later I contacted them again and said that I wanted either a firm delivery date or my money back.

This time I heard nothing back at all.

So another 4 weeks later I emailed them again and said the same including that if I didn't hear back within 24 hours with a solution I would claim my money back from the payment provider. (PayPal in this case).

Still did't hear anything so raised issue with PayPal and then I heard back immediately.

Reply here:
"We are unable to refund you due to you breaking our terms and conditions in opening a Paypal case.

We will now mark this case as fraudulant.

In future we suggest thet you read terms and conditions before accepting them and placing an order. It will save you finding yourself in this situation in future.
"

I was flabbergasted.

They expect you to read 15 pages or terms before you do an online purchase?

And they are nasty and threatening on top of that!

How am I fraudulent (how you spell it mate) when the only thing I've done is to trust in them and pay them up front for something they can't deliver and then want my money refunded when they can't?

It is utter idiocy and the only thing they achieve is to loose business over nothing. In this day and age you bit the bullet and refund a customer if they are not happy, particularly when you haven't even supplied anything.

Grow up, get with the times or find something else to do.

I've received excellent service from CDSG - very happy with the price match, which means you are paying the lowest prices and free postage above £50.

Also when they price match - they do it for everybody by lowering their price displayed online - which is really good service (rather than just providing a unique price match for a single request).

When they did not have a product on the website that I was looking for, I emailed and they replied straight away, informing me that they would stock the item, provided a link to the new item and that it would be in stock in 2 weeks - which I think is good effort for an RCBS item. I think that's good service, listening to their customers.

I have also used the online chat option and this has been very good in provided answers to when back order item's are going to be in stock etc.

I would highly recommended CDSG based on the experience I have had.

The products are very good.

First time I have used Cdsg.The first item was on back order from USA, I added a second item 8 days later also on back order from the USA, BOTH items delivered within 18 days of first order, I fully expected to be waiting for over a month to receive my items.

iv used cdsg on a number of occasions and iv found them to be very prompt with delivery.sometimes not everything is in stock and you have to wait for back orders as most things iv ordered come from the states but its normally about a week.the communication is excellent and the prices are good.

An excellent company. When you phone up nothing is too much trouble and staff are really courteous. Had an issue with a an item, returned it without problem or cost for really fast replacement. Used them for two years now and have huge confidence in them.

I have been using these guys for some time. They are always very competitive with prices and goods that are not in stock generally arrive within a week or so. Never had a problem.
