An excellent experience
An excellent experience - a five star service and everything was exactly as described.
The Hikvision DS-7616NI-M2/16P NVR I bought was a good price and the delivery could not have been quicker and the communication was great. It's now in service and after initially experiencing a few bugs I updated the firmware from the Hikvision resource pages to V5.04.081 260112 and so far so good...

Not good for communication
I found communication difficult and not very efficient. I found I was chasing for information and updates. communication was reluctant and sporadic.

Great Price, Great Customer Service
Bought a new Hikvision NVR at a great price from their website, slight issue with model description on my invoice, when I phoned to check it was all correct I noticed CCTV Direct are quite local to me, I arranged to pickup the NVR and had it all setup and running the same day.

lies, lies and more lies
Update on my review of the 29th October in which i gave Sully and the company a glowing review.
now fast forward 6 weeks.
i bought a camera and nvr from them, but not the hard drive. To cut a long story short, i wasted £440 on 2 hard drives that overheated and failed.
i joined a Hikvision group on facebook, told them the problem and there was about 50 people who had the exact same problem with Hdd`s over heating with this particular Nvr model.
Hikvision knew about it and so do cctv direct and all they had to do was supply me with a fan to go inside the Nvr to stop the overheating.
I rang Cctv direct and after speaking to Sully and after speaking to his manager, he admitted, he should of supplied a fan with and would send one out in the next few days.
Guess what. That was 10 days ago and no fan.
There was no sorry, nothing, they weren't interested.
The fan is £10 to buy.
i actually paid more for the 2 Hard drives than i did the camera and Nvr combined.
So to all you people reading this, be aware of this company, they are quick to sell you something but if something goes wrong. Forget it.
They will lie there socks off to get out of it.
You have been warned.
