Great job carried out by John who fitted a new boiler for us today. Turned up when they said and completed when they said. Very tidy job and left the house how they found it. Wouldn’t hesitate to use again.

Neil gave me a quote a week ago for a combi boiler and a google nest. John the engineer fitted the boiler today and set up google nest which I’m absolutely delighted with! Would highly recommend CB plumbing & heating services!

I was enquiring for a new boiler to be installed, had 3 different companies out and they seemed the most professional and were the first ones to respond.
They weren’t necessarily the cheapest but honestly felt they offered the most value for money overall.

Went through a comparison site to get a few local companies out.Decided to go with cb plumbing after receiving a few different prices.They were not the cheapest but explained everything that went into their package and I was happy with that.Engineer that came to see us was really helpful and knowledgeable. No hesitation recommending to family and friends.

The boiler was installed on the Tuesday but there was a mix up which meant that the wrong thermostat was installed. This was no big deal as the boiler was functional and they had arranged to send out someone on Friday to change it over.

We discovered on Friday evening that the heating wasn’t working and spoke to the sales rep on Saturday who said that he could get someone out on Monday to fix it. Since it was going to be a couple of days, I took a look myself and discovered that it was very unsafe:
- One live wire (mains voltage!) was sitting loose in the thermostat
- Second live wire was incorrectly terminated and was loose in the terminal
- Circuit was wired incorrectly – one of relay wires was in the wrong terminal
- Neutral and earth were incorrectly terminated and risked working loose over time
- Fuse was 4x the manufacturer’s rating and the earth had been spliced. Therefore, the fuse would likely operate slowly, if at all!

The installer said that he had never installed a Nest thermostat before so it is somewhat unsurprising that it was a complete mess. More concerningly given the state of the wiring, he said that he installed Hives in the past. I would STRONGLY recommend that anyone who has had one installed to contact CB Plumbing or an independent electrician to get it checked over.

The electrical installation from the first visit was far from perfect but the third visit was spot on. This implies very poor training and supervision practices. Given this, I tried to cancel the service package but I was told that “unfortunately this was not a paid added extra, therefore, there is no option for this to be refunded.” (direct quote) They did waive the cost of the thermostat installation but £320-£150 is still £170! (assuming £80/service which is the number that the sales rep quoted as the value of the service when selling the package to me). This is pretty slimy given that they used the monetary value of the servicing as a selling point when convincing us to go with them over their competitors.

Finally, the sales rep made a really big deal of the quality of the heating system flush that they run versus their competitors and this was a deciding factor in us choosing CB Plumbing. Since they never turned on the radiators, it was clear that this was either not done or done improperly. I queried this 3 times by email and WhatsApp and each time the question was sidestepped or ignored. I looked into paying someone else to do it properly but, according to google, the cost is £300-£500!

We have used CBs plumbing and heating twice and we would never use anyone else they work very fast very clean very polite perfect work would highly recommend

Super efficient service. On the initial visit to quote , Calvin was very knowledgeable about the products I’d researched and provided clear details on benefits of the boiler chosen. The process to arrange was very quick and efficient. Liam and Connor arrived promptly and worked hard all day keeping me updated. They tidied before they left and gave a demonstration of the boiler ensuring I had all of the paperwork I needed. I’d had a bad experience recently so was pretty nervous about the whole process. The team took this into consideration when dealing with me and assured me throughout the process. Highlybrwcommend

I found Martin very helpful from start to finish and the engineers were very pleasant and tidied up everything after installing new boiler.I would recommend this company as the price was very reasonable as well with 3 years service and 10 year boiler warranty.

The provess was rapid. They gave me a better offer than the others and a quality make of boiler and fitted it next day. Engineer was spot on as well. Highly recommended.

I received a few quotes for a new boiler but after a visit from CB Plumbing and Heating Services and speaking to Martin I decided to go with them instead. For someone who knows nothing about boilers, Martin and his team were able to explain everything I needed to know in a
simple and straightforward way which

From Martins initial visit to the engineer Callum installing my new boiler I can’t fault them. An efficient friendly & polite group of people I enjoyed meeting.
You wouldn’t have known they had been in as they cleaned the kitchen area & took away my old boiler.
The price of a well known boiler with a 5year warranty & yearly service out quoted every one else. I will be recommending CB to everyone.

Martin visited to provide a quote for a boiler installation. He was polite, friendly and knowledgeable. Didn't come in with a sales pitch, just to inform me of my options which was perfect.

Installation was hassle free. The engineer, Liam, worked quickly and tidily. Even moved my fridge back into place without being asked after I'd moved it when he arrived.

Boilers are pricey things but I felt the price I paid for a well known brand + installation was very good. Plus CB included a 5 year service plan.

I highly recommend them after such a positive experience.

Good and prompt service.
And explained all the controls on how to work the control unit.

I have been looking to get a new boiler installed as the one that came with my house was about 20 years old. I looked at boilers online and had an idea which boiler I was looking to get. I then phoned several companies to get quotes. Several other companies operating in Glasgow with many reviews online attended and gave me quotes. I specifically asked for certain models and brands to be included. Most of the other companies did not include the boilers I'd asked for or quoted a higher price seemingly thinking I will pay a higher price just because it's the boiler I'd asked for so can charge me more.

My experience with Calvin at CB plumbing and heating services was much better. He attended on time and waited on me (I had forgotten I had a appointment scheduled with Calvin that morning). He took a note of my requirements and was able to go through my concerns and gave me a rough estimate of prices and timescales.

He advised he would give me a confirmation of quotes via email which he did within 30min of him leaving my house! He also included free servicing for 3 years. Magnacleanse was available at a lower price than competitors. Because of the fair price and great customer service I also phoned up later and asked for them to include two new radiators which they installed for a very competitive price compared to other companies I'd asked.

The work itself was carried out within about 4 hours and I was amazed at how quickly the engineer took my old boiler apart! The old boiler was in parts and away in about 30 minutes!

The difference the new boiler made to how warm my house is now is amazing! Thank you!
