I had Gary as my instructor through my class 2 driving training and he was brilliant, helped me through the ropes of learning how to drive such a big vehicle kept his patience while teaching me, and overall made my experience massively easier and less stressful than what I first imagined it would be. He guided me every step of the way up to my test date which I sailed through first time, cheers Garry top bloke and trainer

I had a fantastic experience with Craig Baker Training! The instructors Richard were patient, professional, and really knew how to build my confidence behind the wheel. Everything was explained clearly, and they made sure I was fully prepared for the test.

I’m really happy to say I’ve now passed my Class 1 lorry driving test, and I couldn’t have done it without their support. Highly recommend them to anyone looking to get their licence!

I recently completed my Category CE training with Craig Baker Driving School and passed my driving test today. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and everything progressed smoothly from start to finish.

My instructor, Garry, was absolutely brilliant. He is a knowledgeable professional and an exceptional mentor. His teaching style made both the theory and practical aspects of CE driving easy to understand, and I was able to learn very quickly. Garry remained calm, clear, and supportive throughout the training, and his experience really showed. I felt well prepared for the test, and the whole process moved efficiently with nothing to complain about on the training side.

The only area that could be improved is the office/customer service side. More flexibility and clearer communication would make the experience even better. It would be helpful if the full course process and steps were explained from the beginning, or if a structured email/draft was sent outlining exactly what the client needs to do at each stage. This would avoid confusion and help clients understand the journey more clearly.

Aside from that, everything else was excellent. I’ve now passed my CE and still have my CPC to complete, and overall I’m very satisfied with the training and support provided. Highly recommended. 👌👌

I did my training at the Sheffield depot and test was at steeton, training was great especially with Garry. He’s a very helpful and supportive instructor and got me passed. I’ve learnt a lot from him.

Just passed my class 2 licence with Craig Baker Training, specifically Gary my instructor in Sheffield... He was really helpful, great training throughout, great communication and really helpful... My test was in an area we hadn't trained in, we went early and did few circuits before the test to get an insight into the roads which really helped. Would recommend 100%

I recently passed my Class 1 licence with Craig Baker and had a really positive experience from start to finish.

The training was well organised and helped build my confidence quickly. A big thank you to Gemma, Paul, and Chris for the lessons — all were patient, knowledgeable, and explained everything clearly.

Special mention to Chris as well for the CPC training, which was delivered in an engaging and easy-to-understand way.

Overall, I’d highly recommend Craig Baker to anyone looking to get their Class 1 licence.

Gary made me feel very welcome on my first day on monday and guided me through everything i needed in order to be prepared for my test and pleased to say passed 1st time on both 3a 3b test so would highly recomend them thank you for everything lets get rolling

Any new drivers that have passed their Theory, Hazard Perception & CPC Module 4 tests, Craig Baker Driver Training is the HGV driving school you need to be taught by.

They have trainers that have a combination of years and years of experience and a directional, informative approach that prepares you to pass your Module 3A & Module 3B tests.

My trainers were Richard & Ray from the Coventry depot. Each trainer has their own style of teaching. It is important that you listen to their instructions and put their teachings to practice & you should do well.

Most of my training was from Richard and Ray was able to teach me too.

I passed my Module 3A test & Module 3B test first time & I am officially a qualified and fully licensed Class 1, Heavy Goods Vehicle Driver.

Would highly recommend this company. I chose to to do my class 2 here.The instructors are all friendly and knowledgeable and made me feel confident in my driving ability. They were happy to answer any of my questions. I am now a fully qualified class 2 driver and I can’t wait to get on the road

I can’t recommend Craig Baker Driver Training highly enough for Class 1 (C+E) training at the Coventry Training Centre. Richard was an excellent instructor — calm, patient, and extremely knowledgeable, always explaining everything clearly and adapting the training to suit my learning needs. His guidance really helped build my confidence with reversing, coupling/uncoupling, and road driving, and I felt fully prepared for my test.
A huge thank you as well to Stacey, who took my many calls and always made me feel at ease — her support and reassurance made the whole process so much less stressful. Outstanding training and support from start to finish — highly recommended.

Passed my Mod 4, 3a Reverse & 3b On Road with the Bedworth branch, taken out with both Ray and Richard over the week.

Passed my car to class 1 and CPC Mod 4 with Craig Baker at the Sheffield depot. All 3 instructors (Andy, John and Sab) are absolutely fantastic, had the pleasure of being taught by all 3 over the 3 days I was there. The instructors alone deserve 5 stars but due to the office staff they have lost a star.

On the week before my training was due to start my start times we’re constantly getting changed right up until the Friday before I was meant to start training (the following Monday). The office staff informed me that the T&C’s do require flexibility which is understandable but when you’re using annual leave and you have to give notice on annual leave it’s not ideal, also the fact that flexibility might mean your times change by an hour not 6 hours or even a full day!

If you like things set in stone I wouldn’t recommend Craig Baker, however, if you want to be taught by 3 VERY GOOD instructors who have very good knowledge and are patient and can have a good laugh with you then I’d fully recommend the 3 lads at Sheffield.
