It’s frustrating to me that your whole opinion of Cavalry has been coloured by the actions of one junior recruitment administrator within it, and unfortunately I have to admit that your 1 star review seems to be a fair reflection of your experience with us
Update : have finally received a very patronising response making reference to my accurate review of Cavalry . Have messaged a number of times had many reassurances .The out come of my review is as follows . They are no longer looking to employ me , so much for freedom of speech . That decision was was already made by me but just wanted to hear them say it . They have destroyed my belief in the care service as these company’s should be ashamed of themselves.
Everything written is true and accurate.
I hope no one else has to experience this lack of care towards me from Cavalry .
Please make the effort to read other reviews and make your own judgement .
But mine is a true reflection of the lack of support in the recruitment process of this Company.
Hope this helps in your decision if and when you think of working for Cavelry I am reluctant to use there full name .

What should have been a new experience turned out to be completely the opposite.an absolute nightmare
When you are offered a job signed a contract on the company premises even supplied everything including ID badge you expect to start the job . After 8 weeks this was still not the case communication none existent . Especially if
Said job applied is said local to your address and service user needs support as soon as possible . Offering availability where necessary . I do hope the service user is being supported although I question if said service user even existed .
Numerous emails not responded to .
Would like to thank H….y name protected due to data protection trying to help clearly working and I really wish him well .
Giving up hope became unemployed due to there constant references compliance
I understand the need but asking for over 40hrs of employment history due purely so you get a higher CQC rating . Upon reflection this policy also I feel is designed to discourage people of a certain age from being given the opportunity let’s be honest what’s the likelihood of a 57 yr old person providing such useless information . Having eventually getting a patronising response after this review saying employment history is necessary for the protection of service users . The fact my enhanced DBS check £50 paid by me clearly not fit for purpose .This process clearly
Shows absolutely no regard to the stress this causes people shameful .

Having been offered the job based on my many years of experience in the job role done all the necessary 3 day training in Chester ( yet to be paid ) which I would say was good . Video interview met who I thought were going to be my colleagues building a good team spirit . ( I hope they did not have the same experience ) they were good people ) The gentleman doing the training was exceptional.Done all the online training provided my own DBS.signed a contract provided numerous references been a law abiding citizen for 57 years. Having worked my notice of 4 weeks as that’s the right thing to Do .Now 7 weeks have passed still no start date very little the communication when I did manage to get someone I was assured employment would be forth coming and not to worry There has been one person trying to help the person who got me interested in the role But as yet still nothing . Have been given no firm contact details . Having convinced me that the role would start well before my notice period .
What seemed to be a good thing has turned into a nightmare . I now have a period of unemployment for the first time .
Trying to get paid for my 3 day training course .

Good company but takes along time to process information and which can cause issues financially to prospective employee.

I’ve been with cavalry for a few years now and it’s the best company I’ve ever worked at. The office team are always there for you and it’s lovely to work somewhere you feel supported.

The recruitment team are extremely helpful, I dealt with a lady called Olivia Flaherty, she helped me obtain all the relevant documents.
