Poor after sale support
We purchased a travel trailer from Castle Country then sold it 8 months later as we decided on a 5th wheel. We requested a repayment for the portion of the extended warranty that we purchased through the Castle Country dealer. That was in Feb 23. It is now June and we still have not received the check. They first told me that I needed to contact the lien holder( I already had the title) and I did. This was after about 6 calls to CC to get them to move this ahead. The credit union said they had nothing to do with refunding and that it needed to come from the dealer. That was over a month ago-the stoat now is they say that they have a new software program and they are not able to write ANY checks until the CFO gives the ok. Now I can not get a call back from Melissa that is the Genrl manager. You may want to consider a different dealer if you want to have a good after sale experience. I will update this review if I am able to get the refund check in my hands.
I drove over 6 hours to get my camper…
I drove over 6 hours to get my camper on April 1st. I made an appointment with the sales person and we arranged everything over the phone. When I arrived 15 minutes early to the dealership I was told they had no idea I was coming and I was placed in a line of people to wait to do my paperwork. I was there over three hours waiting, with a 6 hour drive back home after.
It is now May 11th and I have not received my title by mail. In the last week and a half I’ve left THREE separate voicemails and sent emails attempting to speak with someone about this issue, with NO RETURN CALL/EMAIL/ANYTHING.
Save the frustrations and go somewhere else to purchase your RV.
Was at the RV trailer show on the 17th…
Was at the RV trailer show on the 17th of this month talk to two sales representative Missy and Jason from Forest River they talk to Dakota which is over that Castle country RV in Helper and he told three of us that they had a 25V rogue up in the Logan lot with everything. Had solar, backup camera an generator that was 12000.00 cheaper then the one that was on the floor at the RV show. It had aluminum siding instead of fiberglass. Started the paperwork that Saturday they had to bring the trailer down from Logan had an appointment at 1 o’clock on Friday they called me Wednesday told me that the awning had been running at South had been ripped so they had to order a new one so on Friday we got there at 1 o’clock had to wait around in the parking lot for a half hour because they were eating lunch Kino notice the Saturday before that they made my appointment for 1 o’clock so they knew I was coming walked over looked at the new trailer had the seller had the back up did not have the generator they told me that I couldn’t have the generator because of the cost of the trailer was so cheap but again Dakota told three different people that there was a generator included in this trailer it was exact trailer that was on the RV sales floor but with a aluminum. I tried to call the Logan office talk to Mark he told me that I would have to talk to Spencer or Ben left Spencer two different messages he won’t return my calls they told me I had to email Matt Richards I’ve emailed him twice no response from him this is how this company does business they don’t respond it’s a horrible horrible company. If somebody tells you something from the RV dealer lot I think they have to stand by what they told you. Do not do business with these people they do shady ass business.
BAD BUSINESS!
For the Helper, UT Location:
BEWARE, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES, SHOTTY CRAFTSMANSHIP, CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH TACTICS.
I purchased a Wolf Pup 16BHS from this dealership on 9/11/2021. I live in Las Vegas ~ 6.5 hrs from the dealership. During phone call sales negotiations the sales representatives Austin and Nick explicitly stated the "out the door" sales price, cash, with TAX INCLUDED. I drive 6.5 hrs there, the walk through was a joke, the nuts holding the trailer to the frame were all loose (body could have flown off the chassis during travel), there were metal shavings all over the floor, holes everywhere in the cabinets. POOR CRAFTSMANSHIP.
They LURED me in with a cash offer sales price with TAX INCLUDED, I drove 6.5 hrs one way to pick it up, they did a typically switch on the offer and passed me paperwork with NO TAX INCLUDED, I naively signed, and now they refuse to even acknowledge their wrong doing. They apologized for the miscommunication from a new employee but refuse to alter my paperwork to include tax. The GM Travis spoke with their COO Matt Richards and they both refuse to correct the situation. Now I'm stuck with paying another $1.6 K in taxes upon registration in NV. 15 hrs of driving to pick this trailer up under false pretenses. BAD BUSINESS and will take this to the BBB.
Open to deleting this review if they rectify the situation
UPDATE: Submitted compliant to BBB, the BBB made multiple attempts to contact the business but they have not received a response. The compliant has been marked UNANSWERED, "the business's failure to promptly give attention to the matter will be reflected in the profile we give to consumers."
They left urine stains on the toilet, and more
I saw a 5th wheel RV online at Castle Country RV in Logan and handled the purchase over the phone and email. I drove 500 miles to pick it up. The purchase and paperwork were all processed without any problems.
I was charged $600 for "trailer prep", but they didn't really prep it. During the walk through inspection I noted that the battery was dead and I couldn't test key systems. After a little hassle they finally got some power to the trailer and I could inspect it. I then noted dust in the cupboards and food crumbs in the refrigerator. It looked like any cleaning done was just a quick wipe. I then found urine stains under the toilet seat, so it was not cleaned. I stopped and made them clean the fridge and entire bathroom.
I tried the trailer out that night and the heater didn't really get it warm although it ran most of the night. My old trailer would roast you out in 20 minutes. The next morning I noted the pass through storage was much warmer than the trailer, so I suspect a loose heater duct.
I was also charged $125 for a new battery (the dead one) and when I inspected it later they didn't even clean the battery cable during the install and there was new corrosion on the battery.
During the week i contacted the salesman and contract person a couple of times asking Castle Country to explain what they had actually done for the $600 prep fee and if they felt they had earned it. I was promised several times that "upper management" would call me. I gave them a week to call me, and they never have.
I love the trailer, but their service department did very little to prep the trailer. The fact that no one from management ever called me shows they don't care about service after the sale. If you but there make sure you do a thorough test and inspection before leaving the lot.
The service department at Castle…
The service department at Castle Country is exceptional. I delayed winterizing my motorhome, called them in a panic right before a freeze. They were booked out pretty heavily, but Weston & Dub gave up their lunch hour to squeeze me in and take care of winterizing. I needed an additional repair, Randy & Chad in parts got it in next day. Doug got me right back in. Chris did the repair quickly and accurately. They charged me less than half of what some other RV places would have charged. They are a real team, pleasant & professional. They go the extra mile. I don't give recommendations lightly, but I highly recommend this business.
Buyer Beware of the Service Department
Jeff is the owner of castle country, and a very nice person, but the service department has the rudest untrustworthy and dishonest people I have ever dealt with. I had a blowout on my 5th wheel puma trailer that tore out the entire floor under the devan seats. And totally tore out all the wiring to the whole trailer. Well the service manager told me it would be 2months to get the repairs done. Ha Ha. It took them 4 months and they gave me excuses every single time I called. And they never completed the work, so I took it home and finished the rest of the reinforcing of the flooring and I am still having electrical problems. Bottom line is, Jeff treated me very well and had life issues at the time and had no idea that his service department was lying to me all the time. And Jeff gave me a really good deal on My trailer. So if you purchase from them, be prepared to take your trailer somewhere else for any repairs or services. Or just Buy one from a dealer that has honest people working there and an excellent service department. Shame on those young men. I think Jeff should fire all of them and start fresh with his service department.
We had the best experience at Castle…
We had the best experience at Castle Country RV! We are first time 5th Wheel buyers and worked with John. We live all the way in California and John did everything in his power to make our purchase convenient! His expertise and helpfulness was way beyond anything expected of any employee. He certainly did not make us feel like we were working with "salesman". We bought the RV even before seeing it! When we arrived to pick it up, David spend hours with us teaching us everything we needed to know about the 5th wheel. He was so thorough and patient and went out of his way to accommodate our needs. We highly recommend you give these guys your business. You won't be sorry.
Great Experience
We are 'first timers' and the experience was wonderful.
From the numerous emails with our salesman (John D) to working with the different departments within Castle Country RV. Everyone was helpful and took the time to explain, when we had questions.
Excellent service!
Best Deal
Best Deal, Best Service, Friendly Place. Buy from CastleCountry you can't go wrong
Castle Country RV top of the line dealership.
Castle Country RV provided a outstanding, friendly and professional service while we worked on purchasing are Raptor toy hauler.
After are punches we had an issue with the heater it stoped working the first night we went back to the dealership the next morning and they put technician on it right away the technician was very knowledgeable of the systems on are raptor. And did a very professional job getting us back on the road.
I would not hesitate to get my repairs done here or purchasing another RV
Service
The gentleman that help us with the trailer were great guys to work with. I would definitely buy from them again.
Excellent service
They were absolutely amazing!
They were absolutely amazing!! From the first call to post delivery! Steve was wonderful!!
Outstanding!
Our trailer purchase could not have been more fair and seamless. Everyone with whom we interacted were really great. I give my highest recommendation to Castle Country- they are outstanding!
Very friendly.
Very friendly.. Covered the workings of the RV we purchased in detail so we felt great about getting out in the RV world when we left the Lot.
Great service
Great service. They will take care of you and show you the ins and outs of your trailer.
if I would have done a walk around…
if I would have done a walk around inspection of the trailer before I hauled it off it would still be there ! Found many issues that I would think would have been corrected before put out on the market. Marker lights installed sideways not flush with the metal caulking all over the place and coming off around the outside top edge some wood trim on the inside was bowed out because it was cut to long . All in all I would say the trailer was thrown together as fast as possible
Buyer beware
Buyer beware. Once they have your money you’re on your own. Customer service consists of answering the phone and then referring you to the internet. They are as helpful as a chimpanzee trying to solve a geometry problem
