Casella has a weight limit on garbage put out in cans, which is 40 pounds. They won't leave a note on your can stating this. I found this out by calling multiple times. I find this lack of communication quite rude.

This company is the worst company I’ve ever had. my garbage is picked up every Thursday this Thursday. They skipped me. The driver said he did pick up my At 10:30 in the morning, not possible because my garbage is still sitting there and I had it out at curbside at 6:30 in the morning asked the representative if I could speak to her supervisor, she refused to let me speak to somebody. Finally, she got me so upset. I hung up on her. Spoke to a supervisor the supervisor and show me that my garbage would be picked up that Friday well Friday came and gone and no garbage pick up. all this company does is lie to you and if they feel like picking up your garbage, they’ll pick it up if they don’t, then they won’t after you’ve already paid your bill in full

We cancelled Casella due to poor service over three weeks ago. We were asked to leave the bins and garbage container outside our house and they would pick it up in 5-7 business days. We are 15 business days out and the bins are still in front of our house. We call daily. The response is "they are coming today." We have yet to see them. Deceptive and Fraudulent Business Practices
I believe Deceptive and Fraudulent Business Practices have been perpetrated against my company by Casella Waste. I have been a Casella customer for many years with my account setup on auto pay for a trash pickup every two weeks. I have never missed a payment and have been charged for an every two week pickup by your company for years.
Unfortunately, it appears that your company has been billing for services that have not been provided. I have had numerous issues with overflowing dumpster because pickups were not made. I've made numerous phone calls requesting the driver's logs so we could compare the logs to the video footage and it has never been supplied.
Most recently numerous pickups were missed and I spoke with Mary Faenza and was told she couldn't provide the logs earlier that June of 2023, but since then GPS tracking was installed in the trucks and logs could be provided. I requested those logs, was promised I would receive them, they never arrived and her promises that management would contact me never happened. She stated it was a very busy time for Casella and my concerns would have to wait.
I just spoke with Allison Shull again from the Auburn MA Office, because our dumpster has been over flowing for weeks. Her response was, "Why Didn't I Call Earlier"! I responded that I don't have the time to baby-sit a Vendor I'm auto paying for services that they are failing to provide. Again, the third time, I have requested the drivers logs from her which have never been provided.
She then insisted in terminating the our phone call because I was requesting the logs, explaining my concerns that I've been paying for services that have not been provided and I wanted proof for the pickups I've been charged for and have paid. Stating I was being inappropriate...???
I just called the customer care call center, speaking to a very charming young lady who apologized for the poor and unreliable service. She explained that the notes to my account showed numerous calls that I've made, without responses. She promised a return phone call for someone, but she couldn't provide names, titles or phone numbers of who I would be contacted by.
I am requesting all drivers' logs for all my trash pickups I've been charged for from 2020 to March 26, 2024. I am prepared to file legal action for all the damages endured for what I believe to be Deceptive and Fraudulent Business Practices experiences with Casella Waste. Will that be necessary?
Rented a dumpster for six months
Rented a dumpster for six months. Removed dumpster to upgrade to a front load dumpster, no communication that is was going to happen. Brought new dumpster in and put it roadside on someone else's property. Supervisor comes out and states he won't allow truck in my driveway. Removes dumpster from roadside. Then the truck thats not allowed in my driveway shows up to empty dumpster in my driveway thats not here.
This company is shady
This company is shady. They tell you one price and make you pay another. Then they try and hide your so called contract. They only give it to you upon request. They have so many extra fees and surcharges. They dont specify the cost of the surcharges in the contact so that they can randomly increase them at any time. If you want to terminate early, its costs an arm and a leg. Terrible company.
DO NOT USE CASELLA
We had Lilac Disposal, a reputable waste service in Webster, N.Y., that got bought out by Casella. Casella repeatedly missed picking up our garbage and recycling (which was only twice a month) and then when we had had enough and cancelled service, they charged us for $100 for each tote to be removed. We had to call them about their service almost every other week. They are a complete rip off and we now have an outstanding waste removal service that comes the same time every week, recycles every week, and is HALF THE COST of Casella.

These people are crooks and so disorganized!
After my bill being triple in less than a few years I decided to let them go.
It took them several months to pick up totes.
After they picked them up about ten days later their corporate office called me asking where the totes were.
After I told them you picked them up they sent me a $222.48 bill!
I will be posting this on every possible site in the university and also contracted my lawyer!
Nothing but frustration
I needed a piece of furniture removed. They told me it would cost $200 to remove the piece of furniture. I asked if I could pay an extra $10 a month in addition to my normal bill to cover the cost. They said no problem. 4 months later and they shut off my service and are demanding I pay the full amount due. I am on a fixed income and do not have any leeway. They don't care. They also like to send out " guilt letters" which show their budget and how you not paying your bill is hurting their company. They can shove those letters and games. They will not work with you at all. With them it is all or nothing.
Stay away
The last, ridiculous cost increase drove me to change companies in January. I called them 4 times, today included, asking them to pick up their bins. Same answer as always "we'll be there next week". It's been 3 months. Now the rep tells me there's notes stating they were not out for pick up. BS! They have been out by my garage and visible from the road for months! I told the rep if they don't pick up by April 30th, on May first I will consider them abandoned and dispose of them. Her reply? If you do, we'll charge you for them!
That has been the attitude all along. THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS AT FAULT, not their lazy, inconsiderate drivers. Stay away from this company
