Extremely frustrating pre-sale…
Extremely frustrating pre-sale experience dealing with Car Planet. After expressing serious interest in a vehicle, it took 5 days of chasing to receive a basic deposit link. During this time, deposit demands shifted arbitrarily from £500 down to £250, completely outside their published standard deposit terms.
I had to formally escalate the lack of communication and erratic payment demands directly to the Executive Leadership team and Managing Director just to establish basic operational clarity.
Poor communication between sales team, resulted in being contacted multiple times by multiple sales personnel.👎

***PLEASE BEWARE***What a dreadful experience, I bought the car in good faith on 15 October and as soon as I drove on the M25 the traction light came on, when I got home I contacted Car Planet, eventually I found someone local who looked at the diagnostics and he said he had cleared the issue but if it continues to notify Car Planet. Yesterday after driving 50mph the light came on again and the engine just stopped, I am a single female and in the fast lane, I was petrified and how I didnt cause an accident I do not know. I have contacted Car Planet by tel/email/whatsapp and I havent even received any acknowledgement. They say they do 150 checks, I dont think they do any! They communicate very well when they want you to buy a vehicle, but they dont want to know if anything goes wrong.

Avoid the fraudsters 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨
This company is a complete and utter joke. Seems like they employ young kids who are manipulated to fleece customers. I paid 5k deposit for a car but they used my deposit money to pay for RAC cover and Super guard paint protection which I explicitly said I did not want!!! This is fraud.. I cannot believe they operate like this until I read the other reviews. Whilst I was there I could see they were trying to pressure people to leave reviews and offering to leave the review on their behalf which I imagine where their 5 star reviews come from.
I have only seen the finance fraud after leaving the dealership which is my mistake for not reading it properly but I have never before encountered such brazen fraudsters masquerading as a legitimate business.
To add insult to the injury, the windscreen wiper was broken and the one of the headlights were not working. Don’t believe their 150 point check. All fabrications… I have 0 trust in this company. They have stopped replying to emails also and when I went to their office to speak to a specific manager, I was told he was not working… I then proceeded to sit in my car and saw him smoking in the corner with the other workers. He saw me and scurried off. This place is a shambles.. please don’t fall victim !! They were literally in the papers some months ago and a simple search online will show you all the fraud they are committing. On one of the websites a former employee has written that the workers were told to create fake accounts and post fake 5 star reviews. Head to the mega centre to see all the vehicles people have returned due to issues which they will supposedly fix but people are waiting months for their cars after already paying. Avoid at all costs.
