The recruiters at Calyptus have been very kind to me, they have followed my process closely and have focused on giving me clear information quickly. I didn't know them, but I feel that they take things very seriously.

Very easy to talk to, professional, and knowledgeable of the company I was applying for.

i'm usually a skeptic about AI in general, but Calyptus genuinely has enough awesome people behind the scenes to make it work well in this format. I joined another AI-related service (looking at you, Apt) which was positively dreadful in comparison. It shows two very different standards with AI indeed - people like Calyptus who are building it the right way, and the rest.

Everyone I've met so far via Calyptus has been a pleasure, and i'm attending interviews thanks to Nicole and the platform, so that's also a win.

Excellent platform as a candidate, first tried it out few months back but it’s now become very slick! Can retry the AI interview to boost your profile, gives you feedback on how to improve etc and then lines you up with loads of different jobs, shows where you are in the employer processes. Great work guys.

Incredibly poor experience, where I had to request to remove my interview multiple times and was ignored (no response over 2 months). I didn’t consent to having my interview uploaded for this period of time and still have no idea who viewed it. Not even an automated reply to my emails, just a faulty link to track your' ticket', which then states only an admin has access (this is pretty basic to sort out, surely). Combined with the lack of transparency over the platform process and the role I applied for, I don't trust how they've used my data. Having 'thousands' of signs up is no excuse; there was no problem with the very spammy and rushed messaging to complete an AI interview in the initial stages. And the same job posting for ‘Growth Lead’ is a duplicate forever post. My data is deleted now, but I am concerned about how it was used. Avoid.

Nicole found my profile when I was in the "Open for a job" status as a Senior Java Developer on Linkedin. Together, we went through the entire hiring process.
She was incredibly attentive to my questions and responded very quickly. Sometimes I felt like Nicole was more concerned about the interview results than I was. :)

Seems to me like a Scam to train AI models. They’re unable to confirm which role I applied for, and I would prefer to see their link on the employer’s official website.

The platform is clean and UI is clean. The AI interviewer was good, though it delayed in responding at times. Also when the interview is done please have the AI interviewer tell the person to close the tab. Aside from that l really liked the onboarding process

Calyptus markets itself as an AI-driven recruitment solution: modern, efficient, and technically sophisticated. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite. What should be a streamlined, professional gateway for job applicants instead feels like a tangled mess of bugs, hallucinating AI prompts, and broken functionality.

The core function of a recruiting platform is to allow candidates to submit their applications. Shockingly, Calyptus struggles even with this basic task.

Some of the issues I encountered include:
1. Unicode breakdowns that prevented entire sections of an application from submitting
2. Frequent JavaScript and CSS errors that break form fields or prevent progression
3. Parsing failures that corrupt applicant data or fail to interpret uploaded material
4. AI hallucinations resulting in wildly inaccurate summaries of work experience
5. Interface components that simply do not function properly

These aren’t minor inconveniences, they are blocking issues that make the application process borderline impossible.

Seasoned software engineers routinely warn about “AI-coded” systems, rushed products with no real engineering discipline behind them. Unfortunately, Calyptus fits that pattern almost perfectly.

The user experience gives the strong impression of a platform pieced together rapidly using Auto-generated code, Inconsistent components, Poorly tested frontend logic, and Minimal validation or QA.

For a system that positions itself as the future of intelligent recruitment, the lack of basic stability is concerning.

This is where the irony becomes glaring.

Calyptus is used by companies hiring software engineers and IT specialists yet the platform itself demonstrates neither engineering quality nor reliability. When the tool intended to evaluate technical candidates can’t even render its own web forms without breaking, it raises questions about oversight and quality control and whether this company can even produce meaningful candidates.

If a company can’t maintain a functional recruitment platform, why should candidates trust that company or the recruitment agency behind it with their personal data, their application, or their time? They shouldn't.

In my experience, the AI component of Calyptus struggles with even basic numerical reasoning. For example:
16 years of experience interpreted as 8 years.
3 years interpreted as 30 years.

These aren’t small deviations, they’re nonsensical! And when an AI-driven recruiting tool misreads your career history, it can directly impact your candidacy, especially if these tool are similar in aspect to WorkDay (Which is currently in a Class Action Lawsuit for the same problems Calyptus is having.)

It is difficult to feel confident handing over personally identifiable information to a platform that
Fails to parse input correctly, Throws front-end errors, Cannot reliably store or process form data, and Hallucinates core application details. It really makes you wonder about their security.

Trust is foundational in the recruiting process. Based on my experience, Calyptus does not inspire that trust, especially if their system is THIS broken, it means they likely did not take proper precautions to safeguard you data (like your BSN/SSN).

If Calyptus reaches out to you or is involved in a job posting, my personal recommendation is simple:
Contact the company they claim to recruit for directly.
Engaging with employers through their official channels is far safer and far more reliable than depending on a faulty intermediary platform.

If your company is evaluating Calyptus as a recruitment solution, I would strongly advise reconsidering.

Hiring is one of the most consequential activities a company performs. Using a platform that fails at basic functionality could cost you great talent.

Seems to me like a Scam. I applied for a role on LinkedIn, and I was shortly sent a message to create an account and interview with an AI. Straight out of the gate seemed like a fishing situation where they record you and then use your voice and likeness to train AIs, and maybe have a job after? I did not get that far, as I messaged the recruiter with the following questions: Could you point me to where I can find how Calyptus will use my data? How do they follow GDPR? Will my voice or likeness be used to train AI? To which I received no answer (it has been a week). I personally would not apply without an answer to these questions. I will definitely not apply to a company where the recruiter ignores my messages and defaults to auto-generated slop.

I’ve been using Calyptus as part of my job search and I’ve had a great experience so far. From day one, someone from the team reached out to set up a short chat to learn more about me, the kind of roles I’m after, and to collect honest feedback about the platform. That personal touch really stood out.

Sure, there are still areas that could use some improvement, but it’s clear they’re listening and actively working on updates. You can tell they care about building something solid and genuinely useful.

Overall, Calyptus feels like a platform that’s growing in the right direction — and with the right mindset.

The AI interview was surprisingly easy to go through, the conversation was meaningful with good questions coming my way. The website is quick and easy to understand and use - filling all my data (including the autofill functionality once I upload my CV), doing assessments, etc. Waiting to see how my application process continues.

Great recruiters — they were very attentive to what I wanted in my next role and made sure every opportunity they presented was a genuine fit. The communication throughout the process was excellent, and they helped me land a position that aligns perfectly with my goals.

Interesting approach — Current HR is a nightmare — and these guys have the intent to change that. I got shortlisted, we'll see how it goes.
