I own a Campervan rental company and on the 10th May one of my customers had a vehicle breakdown. Call assist responded and the vehicle was recovered to a garage in Inverness to be fixed. Following the repair when I collected the vehicle I noticed that during recovery, one of the straps had been rubbing against the wheel arch which had rubbed through the paint to expose bare metal. I notified call assist and they asked me to provide pictures of the damage as well as to obtain two quotes for repair. I sent them pictures of the damage and then went to three different panel beaters for a quote. One panel beater never got back to me and I had to chase the other two for quotes for weeks as they kept saying they were too busy. Whilst chasing for quotes I received an email from Hannah Packman (Senior Investigator) dated 11th June informing me that because I had not provided the documentation (pictures/quotes) requested, she would not be upholding my complaint. I emailed her back the same day and asked that she review her decision due to the fact that I had been awaiting the two quotes which I included in my email reply to her as well as pictures of the damage. I didn't hear back from her so I again emailed her on 12th July stating that I did not feel my complaint had been dealt with fairly and re-iterating that it was beyond my control as I was awaiting quotations from the panel beaters. She did not reply to this email either. Today I called Call assist and left a message with her colleague Lloyd who assured me that he would ask Hannah to respond but I did not get any call so I felt that I have no option but to put my review of this company online to help others. The complaints service leaves a lot to be desired and I am very disappointed that despite providing the documents requested, I have been blatantly ignored ever since.

Tim the call handler was exceptional. He made two welfare check calls to me to ensure that I was safe and ok. He was reassuring and kept me informed. The Recovery vehicle driver called me within 5 mins of submitting the online breakdown notification and was with me within 30 mins. Highly recommend this company.

Start Rescue is the Best recovery service I had so far.

Assistance arrived in record time. Even accounting for broken down in a city 15 mins is commendable! Loaded car, gave us a lift, deposited car in the garage. Simples 😄

All I had was a flat battery, and my car was on my drive. But I'm so glad I paid that bit extra for home recovery because I live in a rural area with few neighbours and couldn't have fixed the problem myself. I was asked to nominate a suitable time for the Call Assist support, and they were with me exactly at the time agreed, following a brief call to say they were on their way. I've been with Call Assist for years and had to use their recovery service just a few times - always very responsive and polite, and I'm confident they would look after me if I ever broke down while driving in France.

Classicline Insurance use call assist. It was the first time that I had need to contact them for assistance. They were, in my view, extremely efficient in dealing with me. George was brilliant! I even got periodic calls from them to check on my progress. Could not fault the service. Hopefully though, I hope I won't need them again! Still it's reassuring to know there is a very capable team at Call Assist waiting to help you on your hour of need. Definitely would recommend this company.

Excellent service - couldn’t get a link via text message, so rang the call centre, call answered quickly, the operator explained what would happen. Recovery arrived within 30 minutes, fixed the problem (new battery) back home within the hour.

I disliked the amount of time it took and that they sent a huge car transporter and that meant as a 74 year old I had to climb up to get in the cab and that it was far to big for the narrow roads where I live,but having said this the staff were constan5ly ringing to check and the driver was helpful

Clutch went so I was on the motorway hard shoulder. Rescue arrived within the time. Call centre rang every 15 mins to check I was ok. Driver called with his ETA. Call centra advised I could call back at any time if I was concerned.

AVOID! Broke down in France. They were no use at all. Our tyre burst, they said it would take them a couple of days to get us a new tyre! Who has a couple of days spare?? We had dogs to get back to the UK and of course jobs to get back to. They said they couldn’t get anyone out as it was very late. It was 1700. So don’t expect 24 hour coverage. Wish I’d read all the reviews and gone with the AA. Very stressful end to a lovely holiday

Our cars clutch master cylinder had failed and car was stuck in driveway. Start rescue came and picked the car up at a prearranged time and delivered it to our local garage for repair. Excellent service and very friendly recovery driver.

Phoned, call answered quickly. Eta given, tow truck arrived early. Couldn't fix at roadside, towed vehicle to garage. Start rescue rang on the way to check everything going okay. Brilliant service!

Unable to start car your technician arrived within 3/4 Hr
knew what the problem was & explained why it happened this information could possibly stop the same problem in future. Full marks to him.

Woman on my own ,a little unsure at first not knowing the person, (complete stranger) was made to feel comfortable and at ease, given understandable explanation. Very helpful. All in all I would not hesitate to recommend this company. Thank you so much it’s not always easy a woman in your own , but definitely very reassuring a trustworthy company in my opinion.
