I am so grateful for the information, and support Sam’s groups have given me. She has such an amazing wealth of knowledge, is so passionate and clearly cares very deeply about women, birthing people, and families, whether they are paying to hire her time/services or utilities one of her free groups that she obviously puts a lot of time and effort into.

I joined Sam's free online groups while pregnant following a recommendation from a friend. The groups are friendly, supportive and have a wealth of information in them.
Without access to that resource I wouldn't have had the confidence or knowledge to have a home birth as a FTM and would have caved in to the fears of those around me rather than following the path right for me.
I also found it very cathartic sharing my story on the group after the birth.
Considering I've never met sam she has had a hugely positive impact on my life and I'll be forever grateful for her and all the work she puts in to providing guidance and information free of charge

Free advice at the ready however, if it is advice you dont want to hear or advice that you dont find helpful she becomes really passive aggressive. Rather than it being about us, the birth people and our families, it becomes about Sam. What she believes is right. Absolute nightmare to be around when you are trying to navigate your own way through your own experience. If anything rather than feeling supported, I felt even more vulnerable whe she was offering advice .

Massive thank you to Samantha Gadsden Doula. I’ve just watched the ‘My Affirmations Based Workshop Recording’ and I feel empowered again and totally back on track after my mental wobble from seeing an NHS consultant last Friday. I’ve got trust and conviction back in myself, my decisions and my body. Thank you 🙏

I have found Sam's experience and free advice to be very valuable and a great reminder of what we, as birthing women, inherently know to be right. I have recently Freebirthed my 3rd child and can highly recommend (already have to pregnant friends) Sam and her hard work, a good load of it she does for free. I find the bad reviews to be in bad taste and actually the last one I just read was based on personal speculation, not actual truth, just their own thoughts on a made up situation that hasn't happened. But hey, you always get some!

Sam has a really good resource on Facebook but if you disagree with anything she says she gets aggressively defensive. I'd hate to disagree with her in the heat of labour and her make you think you were a total idiot for having an opinion even slightly different from her.

Sam is very experience and her knowledge can help you to prepare to give birth wherever you want. It’s very good to be prepared and to know our rights as we are the one who give birth. I found all information given by Sam on her groups really reassuring and giving me peace in my own choice. I think I am well prepared but for sure I am prepared to deal with different situations that might appear. Thank you very much Sam for your kindness and good heart of sharing your experience

Sam is a woman with strong integrity, a feminist, and she works tirelessly to shine a light on the dark areas within our societal systems and institutions. Of which there are many.

Because of this she comes under fire and criticism sometimes from people who need to wake up to the damage such institutions like the NHS, social services and courts cause and create far too often.

As an unapologetic speaker of the truth she isn't well received sometimes by those unwilling to see or admit that they may be passive bystanders, or complicit abusers within these systems.

For the many that see Sam for the powerhouse she is, we are grateful. Keep up your important work Sam. So many of us share your principles, stand with you and support you in your mission for change.

What an invaluable lifeline to any person who agrees women should be able to decide what to do with their own bodies. I learnt autonomy, intuition and a whole heap of necessary knowledge 🙌 STRONGLY RECOMMEND GETTING IN TOUCH WITH SAM

Invaluable information and support. Rather than slating her, HCPs and the NHS policymakers should be talking to Sam about why so many women have had positive birth outcomes after seeking her support. It would save a lot of trauma and ultimately save them a lot of money too!

Thanks so much Sam for the Facebook groups that you run, and the free advice that you give. you've empowered me to research my options through pregnancy and birth and the village is such a supportive place as a new mum.

Samantha is extremely knowledgeable and supportive, she does a lot of work for free, more and more no doubt due to collapsing NHS resources and lack of empathy and information available for pregnant women in the maternity system. Her resources are invaluable and I would recommend her to everyone.

I can’t recommend Samantha highly enough. She helped me in my time of need, whilst I was heavily pregnant, and receiving (what I believed to be) coercive advice from several medical professionals.

She gave me the confidence and emotional support to make well informed decisions about my son’s birth.

The midwives who later helped to deliver my baby were extremely supportive of my choices and said they wished more women were as well informed about the balance of risks concerned with birthing decisions.

Sam’s groups on Facebook were such a wealth of knowledge and support during my late pregnancy months and during my initial months of breastfeeding. I’m not sure I would have got through these times without her or them!

Sam and her groups continue to be inspirational and in my opinion, the support she offers to parents is unrivalled.

Sam’s guidance, warmth and wealth of knowledge has been invaluable to me. I am forever grateful for her groups and also for her personal support. My second daughter was born at home, it was a beautiful and healing experience and I am confident I wouldn’t have achieved this without Sam and her groups. I would (and often do) recommend her services, what she does for women and their families is life changing.

The information in Samantha group has been invaluable in making my pregnancy and birth journey a safe and well informed one. I would not have found the reassurance or advice anywhere else. Thank you so much.

In the current maternity climate we need all the help and support we can get to find the strength and courage needed to survive the system. The system is not set up to consider us as individuals, provide us with information, understand our options or rights or help us make informed decisions. The system is set up to rail road us all into doing whatever is best for the system. It took me until baby number four to realise I had options and didn’t have to ‘do as I was told’ for example I didn’t know that we can birth at home even if the hospital says you can’t, I didn’t know you don’t have to accept vaginal examinations if you don’t want to or don’t have to accept birth lying on your back attached to monitors etc As someone who’d experienced significant, lifelong birth trauma I have found Sam and her groups incredibly informative and supportive. It’s so important to have people who accept without judgment that you know best about what you and your baby need.

Sam is an angel who truly cares about people. I can honestly say that I would not have survived my experience without Sam. Her compassion and empathy is something that is missing in most of the birth and postnatal world, and without her, the birth world would be a lot worse off. Her work is invaluable
