Update: almost up to 1% germination, in 2 weeks. With fresh seeds I usually have germination of most seeds by now. I usually see them puff up and crack in the first 24 to 48 hours, if fresh. By 4 or 5 days, roots and some green. With very fresh peyote and astophytem, it's not unusual for me to see this by 48 hours.. The eBay seeds that sat on my shelf for a year and where planted the week before, where at 70% germination by 3 days. Same set up. Will update if it improves significantly.
Original comment: Not impressed with these seeds. Looks like I'm getting no germination. I am very experienced with growing cactus from seed. I often get 100% germination or close if the seeds are good. I have hundreds of Cactus. These seeds are not puffing up and shiny. They appear to just be molding up on at a time. My substrate is sterile. The seeds are the only organic mater. My only current flowering peyote has stopped flowering and I needed seeds. This is not going well.

The seeds I ordered came in a very timely manner and had extra seeds in each packet.

I actually really enjoyed receiving these succulent seeds in the mail. I order seeds a lot and the little card with the discount code that comes with the order is a really nice touch. It’s displayed on my fridge.

Service was good. Items arrived on time. 11/25 Mazapil seeds sprouted after 12 days. 0/25 Yucatan seeds after 12 days - losing hope on these. And, 5/5 cacti look good after planting.

Timely delivery

Thank you for sending these cacti all the way to Yellowknife. Both plants arrived safely. Your article on "What to do once mail order cacti are received" has been very helpful.

I have been growing cacti for 30 years, and most have been purchased online. I am usually fairly happy to happy buying here, but it can be a bit hit or miss. When my two pots of cacti arrived, the shipping box seemed extraordinarily small, and upon opening it I realized why. They had only wrapped the two pots in just a few layers of newspaper and nothing else!! so these plants were very tight in this tiny little box, meaning if there was a problem with the shipment being tossed around, they would definitely have nothing to protect them. The shipping box was really beat up with some of the sides and edges squished, and there was just nothing to protect the plants, nor was there a sticker on the box to let the delivery person know that there were live plants in there. In my experience this makes a big difference for most carriers that are delivering them. The silver torch I ordered was a nice size, but it had a large bruise up near the top on one side probably from being squished when the shipping box was damaged. I wouldn't exactly say it looked like a well cared for specimen, which can be an issue with some of the cacti I purchase here. But overall I was fairly happy with it.
As for the pot of old man cacti( pilocereus leucocephalus/palmeri), which was clearly advertised as a pot of 3 to 4 plants, there were only 2 skinny little cacti in there. I had purchased this specifically so I could have one, or two if I got lucky and the pot contained four, and share the other two with two of my friends. They were fairly beat up probably from spines digging into the other one, as well as the box being crushed. And one in particular was quite yellow, and both looked like they were dug out of the back of a greenhouse under a bunch of other things that were shading them out.
Did I bother to contact customer service? No. Because I don't always hear back. And honestly, I decided I am not purchasing here anymore. As time goes on the quality seems to go down more and more, as well as the customer service. And this was the worst packaging I've ever seen. There was no cushioning in there for them that they absolutely need when they're being mailed. So I just thought I would share this with others, and you can make up your own mind if you want to take the chance and buy your cacti here. There are a couple of other places here in Canada that are much, much better to purchase from, and I will be sticking with those from now on. This was just a very disappointing experience, and it was something special that I had purchased for myself for my birthday, and now I feel like I definitely wasted my money.
And you will see I left other reviews here that were positive ones, so this review you are reading now is 100% true. Things have changed since I first started purchasing from this company, it has really gone downhill.

I liked the packaging that came discreetly and looked like someone put care into it. It also arrived in a reasonable amount of time.

I was pleasantly surprised. Cactus Kingdom knocked it out of the park. Everything arrived intact and the shipping was top notch.
