I recently bought a reel of…
I recently bought a reel of polypropylene rope from them as the price was cheaper, but I didn't know, until it arrived, that it is made in India.
It is OK, but I notice that as you run it through your hand there is the occasional imperfection - a lump which I suspect is caused by a knot joining strands together. And it just feels different.
These probably don't matter, but I'd much prefer to pay slightly more for quality rope made in Britain. I have never seen these imperfections in UK rope from Timko.

We state on our website where the rope was manufactured in, under the specs of additional information chart. However, we hope that the rope will still serve good for it's intended use.

Beware of shrinkage...
If you're buying natural rope, beware of shrinkage! This information should be noted on the product information page/ordering page but isn't. You have to scroll down to the 'compare rope' tables to get at that information. The rope I purchased shrunk significantly after a few days outside and I'll need to replace it. I've noticed that a competitor, the 'Rope Warehouse', does include shrinkage warnings in the product information. Overall, it's been a costly experience and I don't think that the product information was adequate to help me order the correct amount of rope.

Really sorry for the inconvenience caused by this.
We do advise on our website that unfortunately natural ropes tend to shrink in outdoor environment. The synthetic ropes are more suitable for this purpose.
We do value your feedback and will make the disclaimer more visible on the product page itself to avoid any future inconveniences.

Avoid if you like your boat
Hate leaving Neg reviews but feel i have no choice but to warn other marine users. i brought a purpose-made mooring rope 32mm with a hard eye both ends. the top splice failed within weeks of being in the sea and the bottom now i have it is also very slack. i had to pay a diver to recover the mooring and it stands me at more then the rope was. customer service to me has been rubbish much like the product. Ive included photos you can see the end of the rope where splice has pulled out is still melted together and you can see the lower splice is a loose splice very very poorly put together.

As per our Returns Policy (https://www.buyrope.co.uk/delivery-and-returns/#returns), we will always refund orders in full or send out replacements if a certain item provided by us is faulty.
Usually we only accept complaints within 7 working days after the goods were delivered, but we are happy to make an exception in this case to help make up for the inconvenience.
Unfortunately however, sometimes the damage or issue cannot be fully assessed by looking at the photos. In these situations, we would need to have the rope back at our warehouse for an inspection.
As per our conversations via email, please allow us to recover the rope at our own cost and assess the damage.
After inspection, we would be more than happy to refund your order in full or send out a replacement rope if it was inadequate for use.
