They make it SO HARD to get set up. Honestly - paper forms, manual photos, prices hidden behind links upon links. It;s 2026 - apple wallets, online forms, digital IDS.

I’m normally useless at anything technical I was born in the very early 60s before techno arrived properly
I find this bus app so easy to use and book tickets it’s also very handy for checking where your bus is so you can stay indoors then just pop out to the bus stop a couple of minutes before it’s due. Unlike years ago where you had to stand for ages in the rain cold and never had a clue when or where the bus was. Well done Brighton & hove buses for an app that even I can understand

New Year 2025, the site said it's Sunday services. Arrived early to wait for the 8:01 bus as Sunday schedule. Just came crom a ling hospital work, brewing a cold but still went to work. The day is horribly windy and cold, no bus arrived as schefuled. Waited 45 minutes out in the cold. What a start of the new year!!! I am going back to work tonight, my day is slready wasted. Hopefully, this horrible experience of waiting will not worsen my condition. Shame on you Brighton and hove bus admin. There are 10 hospital workers waiting here now!!!

Once again I got a super service from the people hear, They are MORE than helpful. I've contacted them a few times now,and every time I've had the best service ever
I sound as if I work for the bus company don't I? But I truly dont, I just use the buses a the time

Complaint effectively dismissed, with a strong bias towards defending the driver, who was unquestionably in the wrong. No policy stated regarding passenger boarding away from official bus stops. Drivers have differing responses in such cases.

Not very friendly
Got the 5A from London road shops hoping I'd get a bit of rest from walking. Driver didn't even stop when I dinged the bell. Asking him politely why he didn't stop just said "stand at the back doors." No smile, no warmth, I appreciate that being a bus driver can be wearing, have a little empathy: I just want to get off the bus! Feel quite put off now and will only be getting the bus on rare occasions. Another note: please can the drivers be more clear as to what ticket to get as quite a few times I've lost a pound or two due to misunderstanding which has never been my fault and as I go on the bus fairly often, it all adds up.
Hopefully these points can be amended for the future

Brighton and Hove buses is a really good method for getting one place to another. The only issues are buses don't stick to their timetable and sometimes, they don't even turn up! Other that that, no issues

I had a 24 hour ticket but somehow when it scanned on the bus, it also charged my wallet once. Thanks to all the helpful and committed response at customer service, the extra payment was located and I was refunded. It was only £4 but the team didn’t give up searching and describing how I could provide sufficient information until they were able to refund me. I appreciate the dedication to service. Thanks so much.

On Friday night I was traveling to Hailsham last bus 28 number. someone throw stone on the bus window glass shattered, driver was very kind and helpful he apologized every single passenger even that not his fault he could cancel the trip but speak to his team member guy on the radio was very polite, they send new bus for the rest of the journey

Wonderful driver on 12a bus from Brighton to Eastbourne today. Approx 1-05 from Sea life . Weather awful and he had brought tea towels from home to dry the floor for passengers safety.
Great connection with passengers too.

I’m just going to drive in future, I rarely get the bus but have tried to use the service recently however in the last few weeks I’ve used it twice and both times been met with an awful attitude from the drivers.
The first time I was with someone with mobility challenges and although I don’t believe we were holding anything up where shouted at “are you getting off or what?”
It was the terminating stop at the station and there were a queue of buses in front so it was not like they could go anywhere
The next time I had issues with my card so quickly ran to the back of the queue and bought a ticket and scanned it fine but couldn’t get a QR code for my son’s ticket, I asked the driver why is was doing that and was met with “don’t know” I asked if I could sit down and try to get it working (as I’d been charged) but was told no.
I now know that you can’t buy a child’s ticket on your own profile and he is too young for a phone but the driver could have just told me this and avoided the whole situation as I’d never have purchased both tickets and driven instead
Their attitudes are awful and the reason I never get the bus. I now just drive to Eastbourne instead as Brighton parking is too expensive

Unable to run a proper service to, around, Southwick. Only really concerned with Brighton. Says too far out and beginning of West Sussex
Chichester, who is responsible for West Sussex, also says too far out! Therefore, we are left with a service that may or may not arrive and hardly ever on time.
For those people without cars it is not good enough . This also makes getting to any employment an absolute nightmare. Come on one of you,.........give Southwick a proper service

Totally rubbish service, the app, timetables and electronic timetables simply don't match up with seemingly anything!
The app will show you a bus heading towards you but it will vanish into thin air. Next bus arrives full, no space. Driver says she doesn't know what time she is supposed to arrive at this stop anyway!!
Clearly this company is in dissaray as they don't actually have a timetable or drivers who know whats going on.
Better to get the train or walk.
