I’m sorry to hear that you felt that way. But, we’d like to clarify that there has been a misunderstanding, as the charger sent to you on the 2nd of April was provided free of charge as a gesture of goodwill, and no payment has been taken for this.

Regarding the service, this will remain active, and any working device will continue to be supported until 15th of July, with no additional cost and no further payments after the last monthly payment collected this month. This is to give our customers sufficient time to arrange a suitable alternative.

If you would prefer to cancel before the end date, please let us know.

My wife sufferred altzheimers.

My wife sufferred altzheimers but I found this wonderful company, BUDDI, they provided a wonderful tracking facility. If my wife went outside a parameter, set by me, I received an emergency call from BUDDI staff by phone. Wonderful service. A few years later, when my wife passed away, I was suffering regular falls. My balance was very bad, so I signed up with BUDDI, using my wifes equipment. Initially worked well for me. Recently, 01/04/2026. My wristband would not take a charge. I contacted BUDDI, only to be informed that they could not repair or replace the wristband. This makes my entire BUDDI system redundant. The wristband component is the part that detects falls. This situation was obviously a financial decision. Buddi no longer supply this equipment to the general public. Pity such a wonderful device is no longer available to the general public. I have recommended these devices to friends who would need these. I hope none of them bought a BUDDI.

Customer service is very good

Customer service is very good. Always received a call back to keep me updated when we had a slight problem with the device recently. Everything resolved so I now have a very happy wife again. For anyone considering the same as us, we bought and used it in the UK for years before moving to France. It works exactly the same over here.

Help is instant

This company is excellent. Help is at hand whenever needed and the phone is answered promptly and problem sorted. Just wouldn’t be without it though when I am charging the battery it sometimes goes off accidentally but I think that must be something I am doing incorrectly. Always have it on my wrist. Have recommended it to other people.

Faced with an issue due to an expired debit card, I updated my information, but the transaction still failed. Buddi came to the rescue with exceptional support, assuring me they were dedicated to resolving the situation. What Buddi keep well hidden!

I am genuinely disgusted with the lack of compassion and understanding I have experienced from Buddi.

So here's what they don't make clear: hidden away in their terms of service is a clause which says that the wristband you buy cannot be sold or transferred to anyone else. These are only on their website, right down at the bottom in tiny writing. It was not highlighted when I bought it, nor did any paperwork come with the tag to alert me to this fact. I didn't buy it for myself in the first place, I bought it for a relative who died before they were able to use it. I'm unclear now whether they would even have been able to register it.

Having finally felt able to go through their things I came upon the wristband and thought it would be good for someone else to make use of it.

Apparently, however, this is not permitted. I have pleaded with Buddi customer service to allow it to be used by someone else, but the only concession they would make was for an immediate relative to have it. I have no immediate relatives who could benefit from it.
It seems the thing must now go in the bin completely unused.

Whilst I recognise that it is fully legal to have terms and conditions which are available on your website, these folks are a product which is most likely to be bought by or for an elderly person, and quite possibly, such as in my case, at a very stressful time when a loved one is seriously ill or injured. It's not really very honest. I also think it's pretty unusual (and effectively it's illegal) to sell something and seek to dictate how it can be used after sale and who by.

Lesson: Only buy a Buddi wristband for yourself and only if you expect to wear it in the long term to get your investment back.

As you acknowledged, our Terms and Conditions state that a Buddi device cannot be sold or transferred to another person. This rule is in place to make sure that anyone using a Buddi device can rely on it being safe, fully tested and in good working order. When a device is bought second-hand, especially one originally purchased in 2021, as in your case, we cannot confirm its condition or guarantee that it will work as intended.

Our devices and services are designed to support vulnerable people and their families, providing them with greater independence and peace of mind. For this reason, we must ensure that every product we provide has been tested and quality checked by our team before activation. Allowing devices to be transferred outside this process would risk compromising both user safety and the reliability of the service.

We were sorry to hear about your relative’s passing, and we completely understand your wish for the device to help someone else. But unfortunately, as mentioned above, we’re unable to allow this for safety and warranty reasons. We hope this helps to clarify our position, and we appreciate your understanding.

The warning system is very finely tuned…

The warning system is very finely tuned to pick up the slightest trip. I find it better to receive a call from the slightest unusual movement rather than being ignored and forgotten.
The only minor problem is helping neighbours who don't pick up calls from unknown phone numbers. This is due to the general marketing by unwanted sales calls.
Buddi are aware that the problem is outside their control. Their team will always stay with you to move to the list, and as a last resort, to a Paramedic for help.
Well worth the investment for peace of mind, and it knows where you are within a square metre

The staff at Buddi were excellent

The staff at Buddi were excellent. I contacted them to ask for more information to support the decision about choosing a personal safety alarm. The man I spoke with was very helpful and clear.
The person this was for wanted a device that was not too ‘medical’ in appearance - Buddi certainly has a lovely contemporary look, just like many other items of wearable technology.
Unfortunately the device turned out to be unsuitable for our particular situation. However the return process was very straightforward & my money was refunded promptly. I would certainly consider returning to Buddi in the future if the right circumstances arise.
