I’m happy with my experience. Rented out a large house for ten people in Tahoe and the check in and check out was seamless.

I booked a vacation rental via AIRbnb with this company. They confirmed the booking, charged the deposit to my credit card and then a day later proceeded to email me saying they had their pricing wrong and would need to increase the costs by $4000 if I wanted to continue with the rental as I had booked it. It was a mistake they made in their listing, they should have honored my reservation (a $11K booking).

I find this to be unethical behavior and want to warn any others thinking about renting through them about this behavior.

I give it a four because of the “sound sensor” they have plugged in at the rental home. It was almost like we couldn’t have “too” much fun without triggering a certain noise level. Other than the sound sensor the rental was spacious and very accommodating for anyone and everyone who’s renting it out.

Exceeded our expectations! From the very beginning, I felt taken care of by Cristina and Paul! They were extremely accommodating and friendly! The properties we viewed were all very well-maintained and beautiful! We loved the spot we picked as it was so clean, spacious and serene! Staying at South Lake Tahoe right on the beach was so amazing. Thank you, Buckingham!

The house had only extreme basics - no coffee maker, no can opener, no extra towels, no extra bedding. The last email of our booking and the bottom of the page mentioned boundaries of the beach. Advertising of the house was not clear as to what beach access we have for the weekend. A room off the master with a fireplace and couch was closed and locked off, again that wasn’t advertised correctly. We were the last renters of Marla Bay house so that may have been why we were left without basic rental house supplies.

The home we rented was perfect. It was beautiful and spacious. It was exactly what we needed.

The wifi instructions were inaccurate, so my group and I couldn't log into the wifi until a Buckingham representative got back to us. There wasn't even enough toilet paper to accommodate for 8 people for a 4 day trip. I slept on the top bunk bed and I found dog fur and other particles on my bed sheets, so I felt very uncomfortable sleeping. I wish they were thinner blankets that weren't micro-fleece material because I had a hard time sleeping at night being in a room with 3 other people because it was too room. We tried to turn on the ceiling fan, but when it was spinning, it almost felt like it was going to fall off from the ceiling. The kitchen cabinets could've been cleaned better. We found a few bugs in our room closet.

Everyone there was very friendly and helpful!

We stayed in the eagles landing house. It was really nice and accommodating. Good location for the lake and golf courses. Very spacious and the land it was on was huge. Can play frisbee golf. We hiked to the top of the hill and the views are amazing. Paul was an amazing help. We will use Buckingham again in the future

The only con really was finding towels, blankets, etc...

This house was beautiful and the views were amazing. We had a great time and loved our time in Tahoe. I would recommend the house to large families who want to vacation there because there was plenty of space and bedrooms/bathrooms that made it very easy to relax and not worry.

Working with Cristina (our leasing agent) was wonderful! She was attentive to our needs and helped us get sorted out whenever we had questions. Our month-long stay in Tahoe was delightful as a result!

the property was as advertised; great partial view of the lake and the accommodations were highly satisfactory for three families. Kitchen was complete with all appliances including a K-cup coffee maker. The A unit was an end unit - "street" level with an ample deck with outdoor grill. A pleasant experience!

This large unit was perfect for our family of 5 and two guests over the 4th of July week in South Lake Tahoe. Walking distance to everything yet it is tucked away and quiet. Clean and well stocked, we cooked many meals in the home. We would definitely rent this property again! The Buckingham representatives were very easy to contact, when we had a couple of questions they helped us out right away.

My family and I enjoyed our stay very much. The cabin was exceptional and had everything we needed plus +. Very clean and comfortable. Upstairs is roomy and open with plenty of seating and with 14 people, that is important! Kitchen is large and can handle many cooks without getting in each others way. We all enjoyed the large dinning table that accommodated the adults and the kids table was perfect. Cabin is located near the end of the street which leads to open forest and is great for hikes and bike rides. Liked that we could park in the three car garage. From booking this cabin to check in and check out was all easy and smooth! We all agreed we stay here again!

Great cabin - pictures cannot do the place (both the Cabin and Tahoe) justice! Very roomy and comfortable cabin right next to easy walking/hiking trails. Also very close to town and an amazing BBQ spot. The Cabin has an open layout that is great for groups and even a gaming area for kids.

Buckingham made the process extremely simple and easy. Would definitely go back!

this place was AMAZING! very spacious. It was about a 5 minute drive to the nearest grocery store and about 7-10 minutes to the casinos. There were tons of towels and extra blankets and soap in every bathroom. we would definitely recommend this place.

From the time we selected a vacation rental property, Buckingham staff were with us every step of the way, guiding us easily through the process and handling every detail. Nothing was left to chance. Everything one could think of was provided and was easy to access. Check in and checkout procedures were clearly outlined and simple to follow. Security deposit was refunded promptly as well. Outstanding professional organization.
