Lauren took me on a trip to see samba in Rio, an excellent time. She introduced us to the local food and was patient and accommodating. She also connected me with an excellent tour guide who made the trip to Pedra Bonita very chill. Thanks Lauren!

What am amazing local cultural experience, truly got to be a local for the evening at Roda de Samba! Lauren was so welcoming, knowledgeable and fun. Any information we needed, she knew it all.
I will definitely recommend this excursion to anyone traveling to Rio and encourage them to stay at their AirBNB as well, truly wonderful travel adventure!

Lauren is the perfect person to turn to when contemplating a trip to Rio. Her enthusiasm for the city and it’s unique gifts is infectious. She listens to one’s needs and organizes a seamless plan to experience the riches of this beautiful city. She had my husband and I dancing wildly with the locals in a samba club on our very first night. She incorporated our interest in contemporary art into her downtown walking tour. The Botanical Gardens were lovely, but the lunch at Parque Lage will be a beautiful memory for a lifetime. She gave us confidence to set off of our own, each time suggesting a local snack to eat or a drink to sip or a local gift to buy. AMAZING!

Had a great stay and Lauren was fantastic helping us experiencing more of Rio. She also organised a surf session for us to have a private instructor which was amazing!

Making Travel to Rio EASY!! I would never have been able to see the amazing things I saw, meet such great people or have had half of the experiences if I had not gone through Bromelia Rio. They made everything simple from the start! When I was leaving for my trip, I called them with a thousand questions and they were so so patient. During my travels, I had even more questions come up and they were always there to answer them. PS. I LOVED the Brazilian Football Tour, going to a real local match was one of the greatest things I did in Brazil. Thank you for everything. I will be coming back very very soon.

Hang gliding was by far one of the coolest things I have done and would definitely recommend this company to anyone. Both Lauren and Carlos -and his assistant- were very helpful and incredibly kind. There wasn't a time during my hang gliding experience (both planning it and during) that I didn't feel taken care of. From the moment I got out of the uber Carlos and his assistant were there ready to welcome me. The whole experience was very personalized which I also appreciated. The environment, the views and the people from this company all made it totally worth it :)

I cannot recommend Lauren enough, you almost feel like you met a long lost friend who will go to great lengths for you to have a good time when you meet her. She knows Rio better than the locals and speaks more languages than I can count. Go for this experience and you won't regret it :)

Lauren was an incredible host. She was incredibly flexible and responsive in all communications. Unfortunately, my flight to Rio was significantly delayed changing my itinerary and Lauren was right there to pick of the pieces. She had great knowledge of where to go, what to see, what to eat, and where to have fun. Through her travel agency, booked hang gliding and hiking and these were both incredible. She puts in you in touch with the locals and you get to experience the heartbeat of Rio! Her apartment is beautiful and perfectly located. Will definitely stay again!

I had the best experience with Casa Bromelia. I took the motorcycle tour and samba dancing night tour and both were amazing. The motorcycle tour was safe, comfortable, and I got to experience the entire city in one day at a very personal level. My tour guide was really knowledgable of the city. The samba dancing night with Lauren was amazing- she teaches you how to make caipirinhas, dance samba, and then takes you to samba area that no tourists know about. It's a very local, personal experience. I highly recommend Casa Bromelia and its tours!

The back street party was awesome! You get the experience to see how a real local party is! Lauren is so fun, friendly and knowledge, she will teach you different things about the locals.... this experience is great if you are traveling by yourself to know better the night life in Rio. Loved the caipirinhas....

I stayed 2 nights at Casa Bromelia. Lauren is a very good guide and knows a lot about the city and the brasilian culture. I had a wonderfull and safe time im Rio! :-)

We went to local places were normal tourist won't go. Lauren is in my heart and memories. I will be back !!! Ipanema, I will be back to dance more street Samba!

this place comes highly recommended. I had a fantastic 5 days at casa bromelia. location is perfect, the hostess is lovely. I went almost every morning for a dip in the ocean, just a block away. Lauren totally got me as a single woman traveler. first night she took me straight to a samba street party where we joined the locals for music and food. Next day we went on a walking tour of a favella. Again low key but close to the locals. Then she helped me to explore the city on my own by showing me the ropes with buses and the metro. I walked around several area's of Rio with all the tips she gave me. and I shouldn't forget to mention the wonderful breakfast she served every morning!! it felt like home, and did I mention the wonderful bed?? B&B is located in a safe area with a local market on friday around the corner and lots of shopping one street over where you can walk around safely by yourself all evening. I will go back definitely!!!

Lauren led us on a fascinating visit to Rocinha, Rio's largest favela. We stuck to the commercial district on the lower slopes, which is full of small shops, bars, food stands, etc. Basically everything from a grocery to a Home Depot or Best Buy, just on a much smaller scale than we're used to. From there we joined the favela kids walking past the luxury towers down to the beach, turned right at Post 13 and had drinks and lunch at a café overlooking the surf. That's Rio: rich and poor smashed up against each other, but unified by the beach culture. Thanks for a great excursion!
