We hired this company to make our wedding day special by taking our guests on a vintage double-decker bus tour of London's landmarks. Sadly, the experience fell well below any acceptable standard for an occasion of this importance.
To give credit where it's due, Richard was helpful, flexible and communicative throughout the booking process. Unfortunately, that goodwill evaporated entirely on the day itself.
Two fundamental failures made the experience unacceptable. First, we were explicitly told to drop our drinks at the garage beforehand so they could be kept cold in portable fridges with ice. What we got instead were drinks stored in plastic bags with a handful of freezer blocks — arriving lukewarm on the day. The result? Our guests left roughly 80% of the drinks untouched. For a company that specialises in wedding and events transport, not having a reliable system to keep drinks cold is simply inexcusable.
Second, we were promised both a driver and a conductor whose role was to serve drinks and assist guests. The person fulfilling that role sat on the stairs, made no effort whatsoever to offer drinks, and appeared visibly irritated whenever a guest approached her to ask for one. This is not just poor service — it is the opposite of what you'd expect on someone's wedding day.
If you are running a premium events service for weddings and special occasions, the basics must be non-negotiable. We had high hopes and were genuinely excited about this experience. It was, regrettably, a significant let-down we wouldn't wish on any other couple

We hired a classic London Routemaster double-decker bus for our wedding transport through London Classic Bus Hire Ltd (run by Brian Jones Bus & Coach Hire) and couldn’t be more disappointed with their service.

The bus was due to collect our guests from the church at 2:30pm. As the minutes passed and there was still no sign of it, we repeatedly tried calling the driver and the company, but nobody answered. What should have been one of the happiest moments of our wedding day quickly turned into stress as we stood outside the church with all our guests not knowing what was going on or whether the bus was ever coming.

After waiting around 35 minutes with no communication at all, we had no choice but to arrange Ubers for everyone to get them to the reception venue. It was only at 3:25pm — 55 minutes after the agreed pick-up time — that the driver finally called to say he had only just finished a previous job and would still be another 30 minutes away. That would have meant the London wedding bus arriving nearly an hour and a half late!

For a wedding, where the entire day is carefully timed around drinks, food, speeches, photographers and guests, this is simply not acceptable. Instead of celebrating with our friends and family after the ceremony, we spent that time desperately trying to sort out transport and worrying about whether our reception was going to be disrupted.

We also completely missed out on the experience and photos we had booked the bus for in the first place.

Extremely disappointing. Based on our experience, we would strongly advise anyone looking for London wedding bus hire, Routemaster wedding transport or classic London bus hire to avoid this company.

A friend of mine was celebrating their 60th Birthday and had hired the executive midi coach to take us to London to celebrate! My hubby is a tall bloke and the leather seats were very comfy with ample room for him. Glad about this as this kept him happy!
