Testimony of a 46-year admirer of Bread for the City - its projects & people.
In 1976, I formalized my social projects in Haiti, Panama, Europe, Africa, and Washington, DC: into Agenda SOS International, Inc. The same year, Bread for the City was formed in DC. Over the years, the two start-up charities collaborated on several occasions, including a soup kitchen and free clothing store on 9th Street, NW, DC. You provided medical service to all our staff and volunteers. We soon came to see you as THE best charity in DC. And we still see you in that light: the kindest, most helpful, the very best.
