I sold my iPhone to BlueChipCelular. They sent me a prepaid shipping label which I used to send the device. They then sent me the full quoted amount to my PayPal account within a few days of receiving it. Make sure you are accurate when grading your device! Mark any scratch down. Overall Excellent Service!

Fraudulent Company - Buyer Beware

Blue Chip Celular

The experience with this company has been absolutely abysmal. The communication is lacking, and there has been no follow through. On 12/20/24, I placed a trade in order for 4 iPhones for $1,485.

I selected the option for expedited shipping, yet i was still provided a label for FedEx Ground. The phones were delivered on 12/24/24 at 01:14 PM. I understand this was Christmas Eve when it was received. On 12/26/24 at 02:53 PM, I sent an email asking how long the inspection process would take. I received an email back the same day letting me know it typically takes three days to process but could be longer due to the holidays. In the same email, I was advised “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. You can expect an update from us within the next 24-48 hours.”

After no response in the timeframe given, I sent an email on 12/30/24 at 11:35 AM asking for an update.

Again, after no response, I sent an email on 1/2/25 at 01:50 PM for a status update.

After 8 days from the email promising an update in 24-48 hours, I sent yet another email on 1/3/25 at 10:36 AM expressing my concern. I received a response at 11:50 AM the same day letting me know that 2 of my phones fell below 85% battery life and would need to be replaced, and that my revised offer was $1,330.

I understood the batteries needing to be replaced, and I advised them to proceed with payment on 1/3/25 at 10:53 AM.

On 1/6/25 at 11:04 AM, I sent an email asking when I could expect payment. I received a response at 11:04 AM letting me know “we do hit out limits pretty quickly” and “I have already put you in queue and priority for tomorrow with our payment team!” I was asked to confirm my phone number for Zelle, which I promptly did.

The payment did not come through on 1/7/25 as promised, so I emailed again at 04:01 PM asking if I was still going to receive payment. I received a response on 1/8/25 at 11:36 AM that said “If we did not get payment out yesterday, it will be today!”

Once again, no payment was received.

I received a text on 1/8/25 at 07:48 PM that said the following:

”Yes, sorry we are still catching up from last week with New Years!

We have sent $500. Please be advised this would be considered a bulk sale, we are very sorry for the error on our end for not explaining our process in full detail. Please refer to our terms and conditions for any questions on bulk orders or feel free to ask for any further questions regarding this matter!

Thank you for your patience!”

Nothing was ever described as a bulk sale. I asked when the remaining $830 would be sent.

I received a reply 1/9/25 at 12:53 Pm that said the following:

“Apologies for the delay. As mentioned, this is a bulk order, so please rest assured that the payment is scheduled to go out next week. The holidays and shortened weeks caused some delays, but our full team is now back and working extra hard to catch up.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding. Thank you for your continued support.”

I immediately replied asking what day it would be sent. No response.

Today, 1/14/25 at 09:36 AM, I text yet again letting them know I have received no response. Again, my text was acknowledge.

At 12:14 PM on 1/14/25, I text and also emailed my intent to file a formal complaint with the Texas Attorney General’s office and the Federal Trade Commission. I have still received no response, and I have not received the promised payment. In reading reviews on Blue Chip Cellular’s website, TrustPilot, and Reseller Ratings, I am not the only person who has been deceived and cheated by this company.

Beware! Been 18 days, no payment!

Sent 4 phones to Blue Chip just before Christmas on 12/19/24. I expected delays because of the holidays but this has now turned in to nearly a month.

Originally they offered over $1,700 online. Because of the battery life on two of the phones they called and offered $1,550. Fair enough. I was told they would send all of the money in 24-48 hours.

A WEEK later, they said they tried to send money (only $400) via Zelle (as I requested) but my wife’s phone number was not registered. Turns out that Zelle had some updates where my wife did have to re-register her phone number (she has received Zelle plenty of times in the past via phone number only).

The most concerning part is that they sent a screen shot of them trying to send money and it said the total in their checking account (ending in 3453) only had $1,032.65 in it and has a daily sending limit of $1,350.

My transaction alone is supposed to be $1,550. What kind of business that buys and sells cell phones only has $1,032.65 in its checking account.

I have requested my cell phones back. We will see where it goes from here.

Processing Delays

I previously submitted an order to sell my phone on BlueChipcelular.com and encountered some processing delays. However, after recently contacting them, I successfully received my payment. I believe the delays may have been due to the high number of users upgrading to the new iPhone 16, resulting in an influx of users selling their old phones and causing verification delays. I appreciate this understanding. Thank you to BlueChipcelular.com for ultimately processing my order, and I am satisfied with their service. I hope for smoother transaction experiences in the future.

This has not been an ideal experience.

Payment promised three days after delivery took a total of 16 days to receive and came in two different parts, roughly half each, separated by a few days. Each took several calls/emails/texts to obtain. The "immediate" $10 bonus for new customers who called and provided a tracking number for their shipment once sent has still not been received after nearly 20 days. This has been a polite, yet frustrating process. A single day holiday (Veteran's Day) occuring five days *after* the advertised three day turn-around for payment does not justify these delays. I don't recommend this vendor.

I sent my iPhone 12 Pro Max to them for a fair market estimate - it was quickly evaluated and payment was processed in 3 days from when they received it. I sent an item for Apple for trade on the same day, still waiting for Apple, but BCC is complete - highly satisfied. The second time I've used them and the experience was the same both times - good work!

Easy process i got the company that…

Easy process i got the company that paid more for my device I sent my device to them. I got notified when it got delivered they updated the process 2 days later I got my money. I have my kids phones to upgrade soon I’m definitely gonna send them to BlueChip. Easy, convenient and fast that’s what I loved about it

Honestly

Honestly, the site design and simplicity of the process made me nervous, but they came through and paid me the top price (and more than any other service) for a phone that was deeply scratched on the front and back. I’m shocked and delighted. Great service

Total scam

Total scam. One month has passed after I sent my Galaxy Z Flip 5 via sell my cell websiter and no one picks up the phone or answers their emails. Avoid at all costs.

Not a real company…..SCAM ARTISTS

Sent them my phone.

2 months later no payment.

That’s called theft via the US mail.

I have contacted the necessary agencies. Apparently theft via the US mall of over $500 is felonious.

They are scam artists who will get what they deserve.

I They have had my phone now going on…

I They have had my phone now going on over a a week and a half, and even thought they have called ounce to get the management taken off I have tried to reach out to them 5 times and no call back. They have two phone numbers but both go right into a generic voicemail and stir haven't received a call back our my phone back. Don't trust them it's a scam. 956-648-9126/ 956-424-5717 both go to the same guy.
