Absolutely useless, from putting wrong names on court documents to getting our case adjourned by the court 3 times due to their incompetence. The latest one was adjourned because they failed to understand it was a possession hearing and we had to attend but told us it was a review hearing and that we shouldn't attend. There is no communication and have to fight to find anything out. This is through our insurance so we didn't have a choice about using them unfortunately.

Update: Had an email from Blake Morgan this morning with someone else court details on. References, names, court details, court dates. The lot. Couldn't make this up. Massive breach of GDPR.

I was recently represented by Paul Hayward in my recent employment tribunal and initially in parallel high court proceedings. Paul has been a rock throughout what has been an extremely stressful and distressing couple of years. He has acted with professionalism and has continually acted in my interests. I feel as though my case meant much more than just a job for him and he truly is a credit to the firm. Paul has been extremely strong in character which has unfortunately been necessary whilst dealing with an impossible & extremely aggressive opposing side.

Paul has gone out of his way for me at all hours of the day to ensure that I have been supported, even phone calls at 10pm+ are not unheard of.

He has worked closely with our barrister throughout and between them formed a formidable team who have achieved the result we needed. Myself and my family cannot thank him enough for what he has achieved for us.

Not really helpful, and very aggressive in their letters. Even when you phone them, they do not provide much leeway and their attitude suggests that you should be grateful for the little scraps they throw your way. Avoid them if you can.

I agree with all reviewers who would like to rate this firm 0 stars. I am one of them, even though I had very lucky escape and at the end I did not use this firm. I got in touch with Blake Morgan in Sep last year and tried to appoint them as my solicitor to assist with property purchase. They advised on 24th Sep what forms/documents they require from me and I forwarded back all paperwork the following day, 25th Sep. After not hearing anything for a while, I called them on the 6th Oct and was informed I will receive Engagement letter by 7th Oct the latest. There was another radio silence from Blake Morgan, and I chased them again on the 8th Oct via email. And… I heard NOTHING since. I sent another email yesterday (18/02/21) just to say I successfully completed purchase without them. If they decided against representing me, I would had expected to be informed about it, not just be bluntly ignored. This is not an attitude of reliable and professional law firm. This is amateurish attitude of someone who doesn't care. Avoid.

One could say my experience with Blake Morgan is my own fault given they were chasing a debt (bought about by COVID-19 I may add) for Mercedes Benz. After wanting payments of over £1000 per month initially, I scraped together £500 with help from family. They have now applied a charging order on a house I no longer live in but part own (divorce). Unscrupulous and dance on the skirts of the law to prey on people with genuine problems.

I would give this company zero stars if I had the option. One star is being completely over generous and fervent to the fact they cost our family thousands of pounds due to the complete and utter incompetence in finalising a simple matter of succession with a will. My grandparents would be absolutely mortified if they knew how their disgraceful practices have cost our family and my children a lot of money whilst they’ve the audacity to charge a small fortune in fees for what I can’t really see. Strongly recommend avoiding this solicitors firm at all costs as they’ll only bring you heartache and disappointment.

Dreadful experience!

I have to say as a first time buyer I was expecting my solicitor to be professional helpful and working in my best interests. Far from it with this firm. It took a year and a half for them to complete my simple sale. There lack of communication was shocking. At times I wouldn’t hear from them for over a month after repeated phone calls and emails I would finally get a response from them only to find out they had made no progress on the sale. My solicitor actually left this firm and I was not told of this till after complaining that I hadn’t heard from him in months. This was after me asking them about this three times. The previous two times they lied to me and told me he wasn’t available. On finally completing I received nothing back from the new solicitor not even a congratulations or thankyou for using their firm. Overall a terrible experience.
I would never use this firm again and if there’s one thing You should take from this review it’s stay well clear of Blake Morgan.

Dealing with Blake Morgan was the worst experience I have ever had in my life. The way they dealt with my late mothers estate was appalling. For a so called professional firm they were very amateur with practically everything they dealt with. One mistake after another, after another, by not only the admin staff but the executor himself who quite clearly didn't have a clue with what was happening and had no control whatsoever after speaking to him on the phone.

As just one example, the house clearance firm were given a key by the estate agent and they cleared the house and outside shed that had a lot of items that belonged to me personally, they also cleared out personal items from the house including home movies of our family on cine film that went back years and years, now lost forever....Thank You for that !!!

No warning was given that they were going to clear the house despite requesting a warning as there were personal items still in the house and shed. When I phoned the admin girl who arranged this type of thing, she knew absolutely nothing about it, neither did the executor either, neither of them said they gave authority for the house to be cleared.....How on earth were the house clearance firm they employed allowed a key to the house without authority from Blake Morgan who were supposed to be the executors of my late mothers estate ?? It beggars belief !!

I would like to also add, they undersold my late mothers property by £30,000 based on a rumour that the property's structural integrity may, I repeat MAY be an issue although no tests were carried out to get the facts.

I am so glad that it is all over now, you made dealing with the grief of losing my mother ten times worse with the way you dealt with everything so badly and so unprofessionally !

If I could of given them less than one star I would .
I would not recommend this firm , I do not even pay them as they are funded by my legal assistance but from start to finish it has been poor service delay and I have been misled all because they are on a fixed fee so they act in their own interest and now I will have to go to the legal ombudsman

I bought my first house this summer, and went with the advice of my cousin in choosing a solicitor. He recommended Marilyn Neptune at Blake Morgan, and I am glad I took his advice. Marilyn was friendly, responsive, honest, clear, accurate and efficient, and helped to make the whole process go as smoothly as it possibly could. Blake Morgan was not the cheapest option I could have gone for, but I am glad I used them, as I had complete confidence in Marilyn and her paralegal, and they gave me peace of mind throughout.

Recommended to me by another lawyer who used them in the past. They are highly Professional and good communicators at a fair price. They do not waste your time to add too many extra minutes. Would use again. I worked with Jordan and David who were great.
