I have given 5 stars because today when my husband went to one of your shops he found that you had reinstated the Bloomer loaf.We were quite upset when you stopped making it as it is our favourite loaf so we are very pleased we can buy it again.Thankyou.

Turned up at 1030 and no bread again! Why oh why does this company have nothing for sale after mid day. This time it was Mapperley top, but it’s the same at all outlets.

Gone down really bad over last few years, prices gone up but quality gone down!

WHY WOULD YOU REPLACE YOUR CHEESE PASTY WITH A BOMBAY SPICY PASTY? IF I WANTED AN INDIAN TYPE FOOD I'D GO TO A INDIAN TAKEAWAY!

I used to purchase luncheon meat by the slice, maybe just 2 or 3 slices which was all I required. This was in served in a paper bag. Then Birds changed it to pre packed plastic packs with a minimum 6 slices. No idea what the plastic packaging is all about in these enlightened times of recycling, and I have never required 6 slices anyway. A rather mute point though, as Birds no longer sell it. So, today at Vic Centre I called in to collect a couple of crusty cobs (I have not been in Birds for months) and I was informed that I had to buy a minimum of 6 cobs in a pre wrapped package. I queried this and was told it changed ages ago, firstly to a minimum of 3 and bow a minimum of 6. Needless to say I didnt bother and, whilst only a customer on very rare occasions, I have no intention of using any Birds again. Im sure the market research was done prior to making these decisions but I can see no logic in not letting customers choose the quantity of the product that they wish to purchase.

Having bought bread, cakes, pastries, sausages (tomato - simply the best!) and cooked meats for many years I’d like to thank Birds for their amazing customer service.
A problem with an order was rectified without fuss plus gift vouchers.

I travel up North to see my family (I am in the South) and HAVE to visit THE best bakery there is!!!! Consistentently brilliant, libely staff. But the cream doughnuts are the very best. As is there potted beef, sausage snd bacon. Great quality in all the 70 years I have never had anything bad, always look good and the hot rolls in Melbourne are something else. Fab-U-Lous. I have been to great patisseries but this is the best...please open up near me in the South!!!!

I have been buying a Christmas pork pie from Bird's for years. What has gone wrong? The pastry was soggy and the meat under-seasoned. Worst of all, hardly any jelly. Very disappointing: the pie went straight in the bin.

Always pay for a good porkpie. Not sure where you had these pies from but brought on 24. I had 3 and just had a big slice. Disgusting is too say the least.. No jelly. Dry. And the meat was was falling out and dry.. Nearly 20 pound what as just been thrown in the bin.. Complaint been sent along with the pictures of them..

I have been a loyal customer of Birds for years and am surprised and saddened by the deteriorating quality of their products. The broccoli mini quiche has shrunk in size and where it contained a savoury mix of filling and broccoli it was a slush of bubbles with something green, inadequate for a quick lunch.
The only cream cakes left today looked a mess so bought 2 of the reindeer cup cakes, so sickly and really not worth anything like the £5 they cost.

A Chia loaf, 2 horrible cupcakes, a rip off mini quiche and a box of mince pies - Total spend £14 +
Something has gone horribly wrong with Birds 😩

I went to birds nottingham victoria centre, I was wanting a made up as they had none left in the cabinet and I wanted another with no butter. I asked and was told no they would not do this. I was going to buy some cakes as well but just walked away and I went elsewhere. Customer Service is also not great at this shop. They could do with some customer service training.

We have purchased two pork pie's in the last few weeks and the quality as got worse, the pie's have not been as good as usual the meat has a lot of gristle ,the pastry has not been cooked it was not as crisp as normal it was soggy .I gave always told people that they were the best but not any more ,if this is what they are like now I will not be purchasing any more

The girl took our order and bought it over to us 2 Cappuccino ordered but 2 lattes were served and the bacon roll served was fatty and no butter to be seen
This all came to 3£ more than if I'd taken it outside
Then as we sat watching their hygiene was appalling .
I work in catering so have a hygiene certificate and aware of what's what
A ,no blue gloves were used in prep of the food ordered or serving to the customers .
A jug used heated up for baked beans was the same jug used before as dried beans were already on the jug
Then when used was put back on the counter behind the serving area to be reused again not washed after each use
There was a lady cleaning the meats counter out.
Again no blue gloves being worn she was cleaning with soapy water the glass shelf above the cooked meats this was not dried after but the food from top put back
She then swept the stainless steel cabinet with dustpan and brush still with meats in there and then served a customer .
No washing of hands was done in-between these two jobs
The dustpan and brush was left On the counter in full view of the shop disgusting
I won't be going bk there for sure

You have to try the sausage cob if you are passing a Birds. The sausage, the cob, the apple sauce and stuffing, I was surprised to hear are all made by Birds and it's just perfect for lunch! I had one two days running whilst working in the area. Just make sure you get a good dollop of apple sauce! Yum yum.

Over the last year I've become a frequent shopper at the Sutton-in-Ashfield store and would just like to say that the food we buy is still very good quality, but what makes it a pleasure to visit is the staff. Always courteous and with a smile. It really is a pleasure to go in there. Thank you all of you.

Bird's Bakery is a true gem for anyone who appreciates the warmth of a family bakery and dedication to quality. I ordered the cream tea bundle from the online store, and the cream was absolutely outstanding. Definitely recommend it!

I reguarly shop in Bulwell and on Thursday I went into one of my favourite stops - Birds, their cream cakes can not be beaten for freshness and taste, I love the caramel doughnut, and their bread rolls are a massive hit with all the family.

Great products with high quality and relatively fresh. It's great to know from a friendly staff that Birds supports local businesses.

I purchased a large range of platters and cakes from Birds. The team were incredibly helpful, and I was able to order over the phone for collection a week later.
The party was a range of children and adults and all the food went down a treat, all happy faces and full tummy's. The cream cakes were to die for, traditional fresh cream, all hand made and we're definitely a special treat for our get together.
Would 10000% use them again!!!!

Always a great experience buying from Birds! They also sell online now which is awesome :)
