Mixed Bag Company - Great Product Awful Service
You'll see reviews about bikesonline that conflict with each other, so it's hard to get a feel for whether they're worth the risk. Here's my take.
The product: Polygon Tambora G4 Gravel Bike
The Good: Simple order process and fantastic speedy shipment and delivery. Excellent packing. It was meticulously packaged and was ready to go out of the box - minus the pedals. The quality of the Polygon bike is awesome. It's heavy, but in terms of fit and finish it's top notch. Unless you look at the brand of components, you'd swear it was a $2k bike. The paintjob alone is stunning. The welds at the BB and frame points look good and I can't find any flaws in the build. The bike is also innovative in that you can convert the wheelbase from gravel to road and change out tires to suit.
The Bad: Most of the pictures showed the bike came with pedals so I assumed it did. A lot of higher end bikes, including race bikes don't include pedals, so I'm used to that. But the G4 isn't a high end bike. It's a budget gravel bike. Now pedals aren't a big deal in the grand scheme of things because they're inexpensive. But try riding a bike without them and you'll look like Fred Flintstone trying to walk your bike around. If I had known pedals weren't included I would have ordered them with the bike. Before I decided to grab a set of pedals from Amazon, I decided to make a call to bikesonline. That's where the frustration started. A call to their customer service line gets you an AI computer voice that takes you name, order #, email and phone #. That took 5 minutes because the AI voice kept messing up. I then went to the email ack of the order I had saved and replied to that, indicating that no pedals were included. I got a prompt reply from Bob that depending on the model, pedals aren't included. I replied back that the ad should have stated that given most of the pictures of the bike on the site showed the bike with pedals. I attached pics from their site for his review. I never got a reply, and I'm not going to call again to get another AI computer that will take my information and ignore me. Overall, my impression is that their service is non-existent, which is a shame because the Polygon brand is a good bike. One final thing. I posted a review of my experience on their site, and it was never posted. That explains why there are zero reviews for the bike. Their site also claims that they have the "highest rated bikes online" with "25000+ google reviews". If anybody can find such reviews, they're more of a google data miner than I am. My advice to Polygon is to find another distributor. Their brand is worth more than bikesonline. Your experiences may vary. I've seen other people say that they wish they had purchased from their LBS, but my local shop has about the same level of service as bikesonline. Maybe this is the new normal.
Good value and customer service
Good value and customer service. Bike arrived as listed on my shipping confirmation. Only issue was a shifting problem, received a quick response, that was resolved at my lbs and was reimbursed by Bikes Online. Would be 4.5 stars if that was an option.

Ordered a dropper Post from BikesOnline.com
Ordered a dropper Post from Bikesonline.com on June 11, 2024 and got my order confirmed and a few hours later and a shipping label was created with a valid USPS tracking number. That sounded like I was off to a good start. On Friday I called to confirm what carrier did my tracking number come from, UPS, FEDEX, USPS or something else? I called on Friday, June 14, 2024 to ask about the delivery carrier that the tracking number belonged to. I spoke with a questionable "BOT" that sounded like a woman pretending to be a ROBOT. Anyway I played along and asked my questions following her prompts.
Come 6 days later and check online and the information from the USPS website tracking still says:
"Pre-Shipment
Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item
LONG BEACH, CA 90810
June 11, 2024, 3:17 pm"
Called the phone number a second time on Monday, June 17, 2024 only to get a UK ringtone then that same woman answering pretending to be a bot. She is not. She is 100% human pretending with a fake robotic voice. It's really bad acting. I mean she is really bad at it. She stutters and catches her speaking mistakes trying to correct them but by the time she realizes she got caught immediately asks another question to divert and mislead. This is a big RED FLAG in understanding that I probably have been scammed by a this online "business". I will give it until the end of the day until I contact my credit card company to dispute the charges. So far from what I can see this so called "business" hides behind doing the pre-motions of selling you a product but doesn't deliver it and makes claims of lost packages in transit (as I read from other reivews and people's experiences). There's a lot of these reveiws on Reddit and Trustpilot but the funny thing is you can't seem to find any google reviews about this company. That seems to be their M.O. and if you try to cancel your order they or the company begins a campaign of stalling you with emailed customer service tickets that are amatuer. Nothing happens. This is the scam because they already got my money. They retaliate to customer complaints (not mine yet) with threats of charges, fees to restock items to wear you down on products they don't have. You can't do anything but hope you come out of this with your dignity in tact and hopefully money recovery.

The customer service is absolutely terrible and if you thought you’ve experienced really scumming automated answering machines this one will truly blow your mind. Terrible warranty claims as well means you better off spending a bit more to get quality at every turn

Polygon T6 and bikesonline
The polygon T6 is an absolute great bike. Completely upgradable. Budget friendly. With some really good upgrades it can be a pro level bike. Shipping is the best in the business. Really good customer service.

Runs Smoothly Right Out of the Box!
My bike was very well packaged and included a tool kit and directions. There were only about three steps to assemble the parts. The only thing I disliked was that the brakes and gear shifter were put on the handlebars upside down so we had to flip those around. But once the bike was assembled it rode beautifully! The gears transition very smoothly and everything works great.
They could do much better….
After repeated attempts to get a status update on my order after weeks had passed, their online order tracking couldn’t locate my order… I finally got a response that they couldn’t locate my items…waiting for a refund. To top it off they just sent a request to review the item that they could not/did not deliver. Really?!?!
I’ll be sticking with Jensonusa.com both because they communicate better, have better customer service and orders usually show up within 48hrs.
So far I am impressed
So far I am impressed! I was skeptical about the DT Swiss suspension but the shock is very supple and supportive. The fork I am still setting up but so far I would say it feels like the SID Ultimate with the original race day dampener.
The drivetrain I swapped with AXS and replaced the bars/stem with preferred components.
Overall I am happy with the bike and once I get more time on it I will update with any new information.

Going out of my to write a review. As far as I can tell this is a very well run company. My bike came in exactly as ordered and even when I originally put down the wrong delivery address the customer service support was 10/10 to help me resolve it.
Would definitely order from here again.
This company is terrible
This company is terrible. My 3k bike was delivered with a missing front hub part.
Contacted the customer service when I was getting the bike ready for the first time riding it in the spring.
They sent me a part number and told me they were not going to send me the missing part. I was expecting more help from bikes online. you would think they would simply send me the missing part.
No service, they avoid customers
I attempted to purchase a helm in a certain color (matte black camo). When I received an email with another color (grey) on it I attempted to contact them to correct the issue. I left my phone number through their fake customer service phone number bot and instead of them calling me, they emailed me which I was on a trip not checking my email. Then they just closed out the ticket as resolved without ever calling me. I attempted to call multi times and they have never returned the call.
High quality bikes for cheap
Really excellent company for bikes. I had never heard of the Polygon brand before and was looking for a budget mountain bike to get into riding with. I'm an experience road and gravel rider so I knew the specifics of what I wanted. I spent months looking for the right bike and the bikes here are so incredibly nice for the price it's almost hard to believe. I've taken my D7 out twice so far and been incredibly impressed with the quality for the cost.
Don't be surprised if there's a few cheap parts on the bike, the core components are solid and most of the cheap components are the first ones I'd upgrade on any bike.
T7E - Trail eBike Warranty Service Issue with BikesOnline.com
I bought my Polygon Siskiu T7E - Trail eBike from BikesOnline.com in October 2023. I recently noticed a mineral oil leak on the bike a week or so ago. I ride the bike as you would expect someone to ride a mountain bike; nothing out of the ordinary. I reached out to BikesOnline.com about the issue and the rear suspension was identified as the issue. Instead of agreeing to send me a replacement rear suspension (that I would do them the courtesy of installing myself instead of asking them to pay for the service costs of a bike shop), they want me to disassemble the rear suspension myself, ship the suspension and wait for an undetermined amount of time before the manufacturer gives me a decision about the way forward. So, issue #1, my rear suspension is leaking after only six months. This isn't the first quality issue I've had with bikesonline.com, either. Issue #2, the "warranty" process is ridiculously time consuming for customers like me. Instead of shipping a replacement suspension to me, and me shipping back the one I currently have, they want me to take an unnecessary amount of time and effort to resolve an issue under warranty. I've bought three bikes from them in the past two years and my wife just bought a trail e-bike from them (before we knew about the leak issue), but apparently my agreeable way forward and my business isn't good enough. So, dear buyers, caveat emptor. I won't be doing business with them again.

Three bikes and counting
Found bikes online and polygon bicycles early 2020 when Covid was driving used bicycle prices through the roof. A d7 for my son was the first purchase which has taken an absolute beating without any issues beyond normal wear items; tires, drive train... He races motocross and has also qualified for amateur nationals in multiple classes racing super moto. He’s not gentle on his equipment. Late last year I purchased an n8e for myself and just recently an n7. My experiences with bikes online have been nothing short of great. I recommend them to anyone who may be looking for a new mtb.
