Viel zu teuer. Am Ende habe ich zwar alles gesehen, aber ich bin vieles selber zu Fuß gelaufen. Im Bus saß ich nur zwei mal für wenige Stationen. Die Ansagen in Deutsch sind im Informationssystem der Busse schon etwas merkwürdig. Das ist ungefähr wie die Werbung im Verkaufskanal.

Ich hatte das teure Tagesticket mit Empire State Building und Freiheitstatue. Die Informationen waren sehr dürftig. Man musste sich trotzdem selber in Erfahrung bringen, wo was ist. Der Fahrer meinte auf meine Nachfrage wo es zu der Freiheitsstatue geht nur, "da lang" und zeigte mit dem Finger in eine Richtung. Die Richtung war zwar korrekt, aber das es ein ziemlich weiter Fußmarsch ist und man nach Schildern zur Fähre Ausschau halten sollte, wurde nicht gesagt! Man muss für beide Attraktionen vorab auch eine Zeit wählen, so dass man gezwungen wird pünktlich zu sein. Und das ist in einer solch großen Stadt in der man sich nicht auskennt, bei den vielen Touristen doch etwas schwierig. Um es kurz zu machen, beide Attraktionen haben im Grunde schon mehr als den halben Tag eingenommen, so dass ich die Bustour im Grunde gar nicht richtig ausnutzen konnte. Die Busse fahren nur bis 17 Uhr! Danach ist Feierabend. Am Ende bin ich so ziemlich fast alle Attraktionen zu Fuß und mit U-Bahn abgefahren. Ich habe auch nur die rote Linie geschafft, für die andere Linie war einfach keine Zeit mehr.

Diese Busse eignen sich ganz gut, wenn man sich nicht auskennt und eine Übersicht haben möchte. Wer wenige Tage in New York ist, der sollte sich nur ein Tagesticket ohne den Eintritt fürs Empire State und die Freiheitstatue kaufen. Denn dieses Angebot kostet zu viel Zeit von der Bustour und man kann die Eintritts-Tickets sich auch selber kaufen und die Zeit dann für sich an einem anderen Tag frei planen.

Ich empfehle aber jeden, lieber die U-Bahn und die Öffis zu nehmen. Man erreicht die selben Attraktionen für deutlich weniger Geld und kann sich seine Zeit selber einplanen. Und der Mehrwert durch die Doppeldecker-Busse und die schlechten Infos macht das nicht wieder wett.

In a city with so much history and interest you might think, or hope, the commentary on the tour might be informative and accurate. Let me stop you right there! The commentary, I'd suggest, presumes the listeners to be 7yr old children. The inane and juvenile commentary delivered by two failed entertainers follows you around this iconic city. Whilst the tour does take in many of the attractions the promised informative commentary irritates and massively detracts from what should be an imersive and enjoyable experience. The Big Bus Tour company needs to understand their target audience, which currently they clearly do not, and provide fact based information delivered in a structured, intelligent format rather than the current puerile approach. Yes, Big Bus Tours, it can be done and if you choose to do so your pitiful reviews of the appalling experience you currently deliver might just improve!

Don't bother. Staff, as soon as they know you have already bought a ticket won't help. Had a 2 day ticket and the wait in line and queue was long. Took around 30 min to 40 min EVERYTIME. waste of money

I HAD BOUGHT A TICKET IN NEW YORK. I ADVISE NOT TO GO WITH THIS COMPANY. I BOUGHT A TICKET FOR THE BLUE LINE ASWELL AS THE RED,THE BLUE LINE HAD ALREADY FINISHED ITS ROUTE FOR THE DAY & THE PERSON THAT SOLD ME THIS WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS. I DID ASK COULD I DO THE TWO LINES ONE AFTER THE OTHER, AS I COULD NOT DO THE NEXT DAY. HE SAID YES OF COURSE.
ALL THEY WANT IS TO TAKE MONEY & I HAVE BEEN REFUSED A REFUND. EVEN ON THE RED LINE YOU SEE SOME OF THE THINGS THEY SAY DOWN A SIDE STREET. DONT BLINK EITHR AS YOU WILL MISS SOME OF THE SITES. ONE OF THE WORST COMPANIES I HAVE TRAVELLED WITH ON THE HOP ON HOP OF BUS.

Bought ticket online using the app, only to be refused access to bus by driver and told to walk to Times Square to get a paper ticket ! Have send in refund query 3/4 times with no response back.
Terrible service - do not use

We took the Downtown Loop tour during our 3 day visit to NYC which was included in our NY Pass and it was absolutely fantastic. We got off at 9/11 Museum, in hindsight we should have stayed on for the full loop. Maybe next time.

Bei kaltem Wetter untauglich, da viele Busse die Fenster mit Werbung zugeklebt haben. Super Idee für eine Sightseeing-Tour.
Fahrstrecke der roten Linie sehr lange am Wasser (Westside), nicht so spannend. Andere Anbieter haben zudem eine größere Abdeckung durch umfangreichere Tourenlinien. Sind aber "teurer" (dafür sieht man etwas durch die Fenster;-) )
Die Erläuterungen sind für nicht Amerikaner schwer erträglich und erinnern an spätnächtliche TV-Bratpfannenwerbung: "Hey Brad welches ist Dein Lieblingsgebäude? Das von der Bank _____, vielleicht geben sie mir was ab, wenn ich einen netten Kommentar mache..." und nur so. Ernsthaft, wer soll das länger als 5 Minuten anhören?
Gut ist die häufige Taktung und die App, auf der man die Busse in Echtzeit sehen kann. Sehr gut für die eigene Planung.

Viele beschweren sich über den Preis, das kann ich verstehen. Wir haben den BigBus über einen der 3 NYC-Pässe verwendet. Dort kostet der BigBus wesentlich weniger! Direkt in NYC kostet der Pass leider wirklich viel- Wir hatten ein 1 Tages Ticket und sind alles angefahren und gar nicht wirklich ausgestiegen. Es gibt eine gute Übersicht über NY, alles was uns interessiert haben wir uns nachher in Ruhe angesehen. Was ich kritisiere ist der Audioguide der leider zu viel Klamauk ist, sie sollen sachlich die Infos bringen, aber ich brauch kein Quiz, keine dummen & pseudo witzige Geschichten, aber man kann ja die Kopfhörer rausgeben.

The experience did not live up to expectations, an outdated not service oriented experience!
Sellers standing at route-stops generally 'sales-aggressive'. Driver beggin for Tips when asked a question. Busses often full at 1st floor in week 42. Blue Line was very dissapointing, not busses every 30 min. Bus delayed and GPS on approaching bus not working, meaning not visible in App. Street-seller at stop 2 not helpfull at all after waiting more than 30 min og No bus in sight in App. We waited 50 min for bus around 2pm. Busses stop operation very early in afternoon.
The Audio was not that informative. Not worth the price.

I was shocked

I was shocked by the fact we paid 4 lots of £85 for adults and 2 lots of £45 for the children to go round New York on the red and blue tour. On the way from our cruise ship it was not that bad but then the driver kept taking a double decker up side streets to get ahead of traffic and catch other buses up. That did not work at all. We got off at ground zero and spent about 30 minutes there at stop number 9.
When we came to get back on the top was full so we had to sit downstairs. The driver had broken the air conditioning and the heating was stuck on full. The WiFi also did not work so I had no idea where we was. The bus got stuck and by the time we got back to our ship we all needed to change wet clothing. We never got to do the blue tour and it was just an expensive bus ride in what was a sweaty box on wheels!

Don’t do it. You can get cheaper and when you tell them they are not bothered at all.

Busses not arriving in time or not at all. Busses are continuously stuck in NY traffic. Not worth the money (euro 50,= p.p.). For this price you better take a NY taxi/cab.

We waited abort 60 min for buss in NYC and when the bus came it was completely full. There were a massive traffic jam but the driver wouldn’t allow us to get out of the bus. Big Bus = waste of time and definitely money (80 dollars!)

Bus assistant sales man would not help with my tickets. Some micrphones not working.Not informed that they were not working. Very exensive gor what I got. Not happy at all. Will not use again. May as well got a public transport bus to do the same thing for a few dollars.

We did the red tour wich was a really nice experience. Friendly staff ect...Next day we did the bleu tour wich was horrible! Way To busy! To much crowd and traffic in that part of the city. The staff was also not so friendly except for the drivers.

On August 12th, we opted for Big Bus the Downtown Loop tour. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was either not turned on or not functioning properly.
We encountered issues ranging from the bus not stopping at the designated locations for convenient 10-20 minute walks to see landmarks. To much walking to see places. I wish they would drop off in front of Landmark

Given these circumstances, I would strongly recommend individuals to explore the city using the subway system instead. This way, they can select specific destinations they wish to visit and have a more flexible and enjoyable experience.

The tour is poor . The driver was not interested in any issues. The tour is slow. It also doesn’t have all the bus stops highlighted as big bus stops so you are unsure if you are at the right place. .The tour also seems to differ from the map hence issues with bus stops. I would advice people to go across city on subway picking places they want to visit.Cheaper and quocker

Ihre asiatischen Fahrer sind eine absolute Katastrophe!!! Zahlende Touristen derartig unfreundlich und abgenervt zu behandeln, war einfach schrecklich und konnte einem die gute Stimmung schon kaputtmachen. Wir hatten nur chinesische ? absolut unfreundliche und kurz angebundene Fahrer. Was bilden die sich eigentlich ein als kleine Angestellte ??? Wenn wir die Touren über den Ney York Sightseeing Pass nicht schon bezahlt gehabt hätten, wären wir sofort wieder ausgestiegen -- DESASTER und eine absolut schlechte New York - Erfahrung !!! NIE WIEDER !
