Inguinal hernia repair
I underwent an inguinal hernia operation before Christmas using Benenden insurance.
My hernia was first diagnosed on the NHS, and from there I contacted Benenden. I was really pleased to be told that the whole procedure was covered under my insurance.
From first contact with Benenden, everything - including the operation - was completed within a month. It was an absolutely seamless, first-class service with no problems whatsoever.

Excellent and professional service
I previously had more expensive health insurance and found it very difficult to get authorisation to see a consultant. With Benenden the whole process was seamless and quick and their staff were so polite and professional. I knew exactly what they required from me and uploading my documents was straightforward and easy. I got my appointment with a consultant and an immediate diagnosis which enabled me to be prescribed the correct medication and I'm now back to my usual self!

Efficient and reassuring.
Tests that really should have been done by the NHS were performed quickly and efficiently. I think that Bendenen is excellent value for money.

Prompt Diagnostics via Benenden
I needed an Echocardiogram urgently which was not available in a timely manner via NHS. Within 24 hours Benenden approved my request. Within 48 hours I saw a cardiologist who then arranged immediate 7 day heart monitor followed by Echocardiogram and Doppler scan to evaluate blocked arteries. New medication prescribed which has probably prevented me having a stroke. Very efficient service with helpful people. I now use the FIBRICHECK app within the Benenden App to check for atrial fibrillation which is reassuring
